GP Ratings aims to provide a respectful and constructive space where patients can share their experiences with GP practices and where practices can respond to feedback. These Community Guidelines help ensure that reviews remain helpful, fair, and respectful for everyone using the platform.

Be Honest and Genuine

Reviews should reflect your real and personal experience with a GP practice. Please provide honest feedback and avoid submitting misleading or false information. Reviews should be based on genuine interactions with the practice.

Be Respectful

We encourage constructive feedback, but abusive language, harassment, threats, or discriminatory remarks will not be tolerated. Reviews should focus on the experience and service provided rather than targeting individuals.

Protect Privacy

Do not include personal medical information, confidential details, or identifying information about patients, staff members, or other individuals. Reviews should avoid sharing sensitive personal data.

No Defamation or Harmful Content

Reviews must not contain statements that are defamatory, misleading, or intended to harm the reputation of individuals or organisations without factual basis. Content that could cause legal or reputational harm may be removed or moderated.

No Spam or Promotional Content

Reviews should not contain advertisements, promotional material, unrelated links, or spam. The platform is intended solely for sharing genuine patient experiences.

Moderation and Editing

GP Ratings may moderate, edit, summarise, or remove reviews that violate these Community Guidelines, our Review Policy, or applicable laws. In some cases, automated tools or artificial intelligence may be used to assist in moderating content for safety and compliance.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe a review violates these guidelines, you may report it to GP Ratings for investigation. Our moderation team will review reported content and take appropriate action where necessary.

Respectful Responses from Practices

GP practices are encouraged to respond to reviews in a professional and respectful manner. Responses should address feedback constructively and must not disclose confidential patient information.
