Receptionist dismissive when calling about elderly relative

I called this morning regarding my mother who has recently been discharged from hospital and is experiencing back discomfort. I was frustrated by the receptionist's manner, which I felt lacked understanding of my mother's vulnerable situation. Given her age and the fact that she lives independently, I believe a home visit from a clinician would have been appropriate to assess her condition.

Prescription records don't match what's actually issued

I have serious concerns about my experience at this surgery. There appear to be discrepancies between what is recorded in my patient access records and what is actually prescribed, which has caused significant problems managing my medication throughout the month. I often find myself without adequate supply to cover the full prescribed doses, leaving me with periods of discomfort as I have to ration my medication. When I have brought recent test results from other healthcare providers, these do not seem to be acknowledged or acted upon, and I am not informed about what further testing might be needed or when. This lack of communication makes it difficult to plan my time effectively. My attempts to raise these concerns through email complaints have gone unacknowledged. It was only when I involved another healthcare professional from my treatment team that the situation was finally addressed and I received the medication I should have been prescribed for some time. I find the standard of service and attention to detail deeply disappointing. The lack of care and professionalism is concerning, particularly given how vulnerable patients depend on accurate prescribing and clear communication. I would not recommend this surgery and would change providers if I were not dependent on the regular medication I receive here. This experience has been extremely frustrating and has left me questioning the level of care provided to patients.

I have been waiting for my blood test result from nearly a week ago, and the practice has been unable to locate it. I was redirected to the hospital despite the test being carried out at the surgery itself. I find it frustrating that I could obtain blood test results the same day if I were abroad, yet it appears to take considerably longer for patients requiring ongoing monitoring in the UK. This experience has been quite disappointing.

Excellent experience with the service provided for my child recently. The team directed us to the pharmacy and we received our prescription promptly. Couldn't get an appointment when urgently needed

I have been attempting to secure an appointment for approximately two weeks following a health issue acquired while travelling abroad that has not resolved as expected. Unfortunately, there are currently no available slots, and my condition appears to be serious and has not improved despite a course of medication. This is quite frustrating given that I am unwell, and should my situation deteriorate further, I may need to seek legal advice regarding this matter.

A family member passed away recently, and I have visited the practice twice and made multiple phone calls since then. I have found the service unhelpful, and the necessary documentation has still not been provided to the relevant authority. I am unable to proceed with funeral arrangements and would appreciate clarity on when this might be resolved. I am very disappointed with the experience.

A family member recently passed away, and the registrar has been unable to obtain the necessary documentation from the practice to complete the death certificate. Easy online booking made appointments straightforward

This is the best GP practice I have been registered with. I find it easy to get appointments through the online booking system. The fact they're also signed up with the video consultation service is really good and I've been able to have remote appointments at weekends for emergencies if needed! Both myself and my family member have seen the same clinician for some time now which is unheard of. The GP is amazing, so friendly and great with my family member. Yes sometimes they run late for appointments but I've never been kept waiting longer than 20 minutes. The nursing and support staff are all friendly. Especially one of the practice assistants who was very helpful in getting me to speak to the clinician about my family member.

Successfully completed the registration process. However, a week has passed and I am still awaiting a required medical document which is now overdue due to delays associated with the registration period. I have been informed that the waiting time for a mental health appointment is approximately two weeks. This timeframe feels concerning given the nature of the condition requiring assessment. Overall, I am disappointed with the experience so far.
