I had an incredibly positive encounter at this facility... Though I didn't catch the phlebotomist's name, I'm typically quite anxious about blood draws. Upon entering, she immediately inquired about my comfort level and, recognizing my nervousness, offered me choices about positioning and thoroughly explained the procedure, including the number of blood vials needed. When her first attempt was unsuccessful, she professionally asked if I preferred to continue or reschedule. I opted to proceed, and she successfully collected the sample with minimal discomfort. Afterward, she thoughtfully provided me with water and offered biscuits. As someone who usually feels mortified and extremely apprehensive during blood tests, I was remarkably at ease. She was attentive and ensured my well-being before allowing me to leave. While I regret not getting her name, this was undoubtedly the most comfortable blood draw I've ever experienced 🙂

I arrived at the doctor's office for my daughter's 3:30 appointment at 3:34, only to find a single receptionist managing the queue while her colleagues were chatting in another room. After waiting 5 minutes with four people ahead of me, I reached the desk at 3:40. Despite my daughter's name not being called, the receptionist claimed I was late and cancelled the appointment. When I questioned why her name wasn't announced, she dismissively suggested I take my daughter to the urgent treatment centre. Her attitude was unnecessarily hostile. This is the third time I've brought my 2-year-old in for breathing issues and wheezing. They prescribed antibiotics without properly diagnosing the problem, simply telling me to take them "just in case." To make matters worse, my daughter had a reaction to the medication, and once again, they provided no meaningful assistance or explanation. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of professional care and communication.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS SERVICE!!!! I IMPLORE ANYONE AND EVERYONE TO SEEK ALTERNATIVES AND AVOID THIS MEDICAL CENTER AT ALL MEANS!!!! THEY SHOW ABSOLUTELY NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER!!!!! I SUFFER FROM SIGNIFICANT LEARNING DISABILITIES AND MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES AND AM AN EXTREMELY VULNERABLE INDIVIDUAL!!!! PLUS I'M BATTLING A TERRIBLE CHEST INFECTION!!!! The medical staff claim only one consultation is permitted per appointment!! It took them two and a half weeks just to schedule an initial consultation!!!! What a complete and utter embarrassment!!!! The physician merely glanced at my medical records and instructed me to await a letter within 2-4 weeks before abruptly ending the call!!! WHAT KIND OF UNPROFESSIONAL MEDICAL TREATMENT IS THIS!!! WHAT PURPOSE DOES THIS FACILITY SERVE WHEN NEITHER DOCTORS NOR STAFF DEMONSTRATE ANY CONCERN FOR PATIENTS!!!!!!! THANKS FOR MAKING MY DIFFICULT SITUATION EVEN WORSE!!!!!!!!!!

When I requested food allergen or thyroid tests, considering my family history, I was dismissed. In August, I experienced a terrifying incident of passing only bright red blood, leading to a hospital referral where initial examinations revealed nothing. Given my mother's previous bowel cancer scare and polyp history, and being a 26-year-old woman, I'm deeply concerned about potential undiagnosed issues. My requests for further investigation were rejected, with staff citing a May blood test as comprehensive. Their apparent lack of genuine concern is devastating. They force patients to endure month-long waits only to dismissively claim they can offer no help, regardless of the patient's suffering. I typically avoid this clinic and endure pain silently, but this time the agony was unbearable. After queueing for 30 minutes before 8am, I secured an appointment for 11:30. The doctor was completely unhelpful, refusing to even examine my wound. Only after I pleaded did she reluctantly suggest a nurse consultation. I then waited another 90 minutes, only to have the nurse also claim she could do nothing, merely stating the wound would heal itself and offering no pain relief. When I requested medication recommendations, she casually suggested I ask the pharmacy. At the pharmacy, I was told I needed a consultation, which wasn't available until the next day. Desperate, I visited another pharmacy on Cavalry Road. That pharmacist actually listened, recognized the wound's condition, and sold me an antiseptic cream for £1.70 that immediately resolved the issue. I broke down in tears, overwhelmed by the contrast: seven excruciating hours at Abbey Field Medical Centre left me feeling hopeless and in pain, while another location solved my problem in mere minutes. The staff here demonstrate zero compassion and absolutely no commitment to patient care.
