Dr. Clements even proactively called me unexpectedly to ensure my well-being and offer assistance. I suspect those posting negative feedback might benefit from some self-reflection. An urgent rash? Good grief, if it's potentially life-threatening like anaphylaxis, call emergency services - otherwise, simply take an antihistamine. We've seemingly lost our capacity for basic self-management. This lack of personal responsibility is precisely why appointment availability is so constrained.

During the past month, I've visited Abbey Medical Centre three times with my elderly mother, and the staff have consistently been exceptional. On one particular visit, a nurse expressed concern about my mum's condition and promptly called Dr. Clements to examine her, despite my mother not having a scheduled appointment with the doctor. Dr. Clements came through and thoroughly checked on her. The level of care and attention we've received over these past weeks has been absolutely impeccable, and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Regrettably, this perception appears accurate, and even more troubling is their apparent indifference toward patients' medical concerns (drawn from personal encounters). A few examples: One morning, I phoned as the first caller that day, experiencing a severe allergic reaction with widespread, inflamed skin irritation. The staff requested photographic documentation, which I promptly submitted within minutes. Subsequently, I encountered complete radio silence for the next eight hours, despite making multiple follow-up attempts, ultimately receiving a perfunctory text suggesting over-the-counter medication. Though I seldom reach out to my general practitioner (approximately six or seven times over the past six years), each interaction has consistently been disappointingly subpar.

Beware of doctors who mishandle your medical records

My previous GP, Dr Taplin, who works at this practice, seemed like a competent doctor initially. However, I discovered later that she had failed to properly document or code certain diagnosed conditions. This oversight has created significant complications at my current medical practice, as they weren't taking my health concerns seriously and consequently, I haven't been receiving appropriate care. I also noticed that a GP from my current practice, Dr Kedge, has now moved to this location. She was absolutely terrible - I wouldn't recommend her at all. Despite appearing friendly, she was completely ineffective. When I sought support, the information she documented was inaccurate and nonsensical, partly stemming from Dr Taplin's previous errors. When I tried discussing potential menopause-related issues, she was dismissive, despite supposedly being an expert in menopause. She also created factually incorrect medical notes that I'm now struggling to correct. After just one consultation, she made numerous mistakes regarding my healthcare. I strongly advise being extremely cautious with both Dr Taplin and Dr Kedge, and strongly recommend carefully monitoring your medical records and documentation.
