Patient Experience Summary

Feedback across the file reveals a predominantly negative patient experience, with significant challenges in appointment access and reception interactions. Patients consistently report difficulty reaching the practice by phone, with busy signals and long waiting times to secure appointments, sometimes stretching weeks into the future. Reception staff conduct varies considerably, with some patients describing unhelpful and discourteous interactions, whilst others praise welcoming and professional service. Communication breakdowns are evident, including missed appointment notifications and unaddressed location changes that left patients confused.

Where patients successfully accessed clinical care, nursing staff and some doctors received praise for attentiveness, thorough explanations, and responsive care. However, concerns emerge regarding medication management, with reports of prescription delays, errors, and inconsistent follow-up. Some patients describe feeling rushed during consultations or dismissed when raising health concerns, whilst others highlight positive experiences with specific clinicians who demonstrated genuine listening and professional care.

The practice shows inconsistency in service quality across different areas. Positive feedback emphasises supportive staff and accessible care, yet negative experiences centre on systemic issues with booking processes, phone accessibility, and administrative efficiency. Environmental concerns and gaps in continuity of care are also noted. This mixed feedback suggests variable experiences depending on which staff members patients interact with and which services they access.

Terrible service from unhelpful medical practice

I've been a patient at this practice for half a century, and let me tell you, it has seriously deteriorated. I completely endorse the negative feedback from others. If you're seeking a healthcare provider who struggles to comprehend your concerns, recklessly prescribes inappropriate medications, and merely engages in idle chatter instead of addressing your health issues, this is the place for you. The entire front desk staff deserves to be fired - they're arrogant, condescending know-it-alls who lack even basic professional courtesy.

Terrible medical care left me suffering painfully

The service I received was absolutely terrible. For over a month, I've been struggling with an ear infection. I've had to schedule weekly appointments after being initially contacted by a pharmacy representative who was unhelpful when I described my symptoms. During my second appointment, the nurse only examined one ear and prescribed an ear spray. Unsurprisingly, the spray did nothing to alleviate my condition, so I returned for another consultation and was referred to Newcastle under Lyme. The nurse prescribed Amoxicillin 500g for five days, along with continuing the ear spray. However, the antibiotic was completely ineffective. A week later, I made another appointment, and once again, the nurse prescribed the same Amoxicillin 500g. When I called today to schedule an appointment, the receptionist refused to book me with a doctor and instead directed me to a walk-in centre. I've lost hearing in one ear and am experiencing excruciating pain that keeps me awake all night. The staff, particularly the phone representatives, have been consistently rude and offered zero support throughout this ordeal.

Terrible service leading to serious health risks

Utterly appalling. The process of scheduling an appointment is painfully slow and frustrating. On numerous occasions, their lack of timely assistance has resulted in my family's health deteriorating to the point where hospitalization became necessary. I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise against using their services.

Terrible doctor misdiagnosed and endangered my child

Dr. Barlow is utterly incompetent. My daughter had a persistent cough for 10 months, and the doctor repeatedly dismissed it as a viral infection. Eventually, she was hospitalized and required a 6-day IV treatment for a blood and chest infection. The medical care was absolutely appalling.

Tragic medical failure leaves family in distress

Unbelievable! The general practitioner erroneously prescribed end-of-life medications, preventing district nurses from initiating a syringe driver at a critical moment. Now, I'm struggling to get the same GP to provide my father's medical certificate so I can formally document his death!

Completely revolting employees scheduled a fictitious appointment, and when I arrived, the establishment was shut down. They didn't even send me a courtesy message about the cancellation as they were supposed to. I strongly advise against using their services.

Terrible medical care that left me frustrated

This medical practice is absolutely terrible and ranks as the most incompetent healthcare provider I've ever encountered. They demonstrate zero capability in patient care, and their staffing is completely inadequate. Essentially, only nurses are present, who appear completely clueless and unable to provide proper medical guidance or treatment.

Caring staff solved my medical management challenges

Over the past few months, I've experienced significant improvement in my medication management, largely due to the deputy manager's intervention. I've found most of the reception staff to be consistently friendly, professional, and supportive. Scheduling appointments with a doctor has always been straightforward, and Dr. Sri in particular has been exceptional, always attentive and genuinely listening to my concerns. However, I spoke too soon - just yesterday, my crucial medication was not dispatched as expected.

Terrible healthcare service in adderley green medical practice

My family member in Adderley Green is constantly battling recurring infections, and the doctors are completely ineffective. They never physically examine patients, instead relying on phone diagnoses and showing zero commitment to proper care. Getting a prescription is an incredibly slow and frustrating process. The whole medical practice seems utterly negligent and unprofessional. I've already escalated my complaints to supervisory bodies because this clinic desperately requires a thorough investigation into its substandard practices.

The front desk staff are delightful and welcoming. I've consistently had a positive experience with this medical practice, as they make every effort to accommodate scheduling appointments that suit my availability. Nurse Sharon, in particular, is exceptional - she provides thorough care without making you feel hurried and always demonstrates remarkable professionalism. They should absolutely continue their excellent standard of service 😊.

Terrible service and uncaring medical staff avoid

If you're seeking a medical practice, keep searching. The doctors are genuinely pleasant, assuming you can actually secure an appointment. Initially, you'll endure a 30-minute wait, then face reception staff who arbitrarily control appointment access, dictating what the doctor will or won't address. This occurs without any genuine medical understanding or patient comprehension. I've experienced scheduled appointments mysteriously vanishing, and promised mental health phone consultations that never materialized. This feels particularly egregious, given the receptionist clearly understood the critical nature of the mental health call yet still failed to follow through. When I attempted to follow up, I was initially assured I was on the list and would receive a call. The next day, upon no contact, I was abruptly told they don't conduct phone appointments for mental health at all. Twice, I've requested doctor appointments only to arrive and discover I've been redirected to a nurse, who proceeded to be completely dismissive of my concerns. Their approach demonstrates zero empathy. Patient care and privacy appear completely irrelevant to them. Seek an alternative medical practice - one star is frankly too generous for this establishment.

Worst medical practice ever with incompetent staff

If you're seeking a medical practice, steer clear of this one. The reception staff are completely incompetent. A few are pleasant, but most are utterly clueless. I attempted to obtain a sick note and was given a Saturday 11:45am appointment, despite the fact THEY ARE CLOSED ON WEEKENDS. When I followed up on Monday, they promised to consult my GP and return my call. I was required to submit proof, and when my initial documentation was insufficient, I gathered additional evidence. Upon calling back on Friday with the supporting documents, I was instructed to send them over. The text I received contained no link. Consider that I had just waited in a queue of five people and struggled through a conversation with someone who clearly didn't comprehend my request. After receiving the useless text, I tried explaining the issue, but was abruptly cut off. Another queuing session later, everything was eventually resolved. The sole bright spot is Jacqui, who is genuinely the only competent staff member. She deserves recognition. However, I am seriously contemplating finding a new medical practice!!

Terrible service and disrespectful medical staff

I've been a patient at this practice for years, but the quality of service has drastically declined recently. Over the past two years, securing an in-person appointment with a doctor has become nearly impossible, and that's assuming you can even get through to reception on the phone. They consistently ignore emails and have been known to falsely claim they haven't received communication. The entire practice has seriously deteriorated. I'm desperate to file a complaint about their poor service, but I'm terrified of being removed from their patient list and left without medical care. In particular, the receptionist Muminah is consistently discourteous and behaves in an unprofessional manner.
