The reception staff at this medical center display an appalling level of unprofessionalism, demonstrating extreme rudeness, condescension, and a complete inability to perform their basic job duties. This environment is entirely unsuitable for vulnerable individuals, with the surgery causing significant harm to patients' psychological well-being. Muminah, in particular, stands out as a prime example of this unacceptable conduct. There is an immediate requirement for governmental intervention to address and rectify the systemic issues plaguing this facility. The receptionists will consistently provide misleading information, and patients are strongly advised to disregard everything they are told. The situation is absolutely outrageous!!!

Overpriced medical letter for my asthmatic child

I sought a medical document for my 12-year-old's asthma to present at her school, but was shocked when the medical practice demanded a whopping 40-pound fee for this simple administrative task. I find this charge absolutely outrageous and unacceptable. The reception staff seem increasingly impersonal and hurried compared to previous interactions. I'm seriously considering switching healthcare providers due to this experience. The lack of compassion and high cost for a basic medical confirmation is deeply frustrating.

Terrible Healthcare Experience. Steer clear of this GP practice if you value your time and peace of mind. The receptionists will interrogate you about your medical concerns, only to inform you that the doctor is unavailable and unwilling to address your specific symptoms. This leaves you in a state of anxiety and uncertainty about your health. Without a doubt, this is the most incompetent medical facility I've ever encountered, and even a single star rating feels overly generous.

Disastrous medical visit with no customer care

A truly dreadful encounter. Contrary to my typical approach, I was directed here with my daughter for an appointment since our regular clinic was fully booked. Scheduled for 9:30, we arrived at 9:15 only to find everything locked and a massive crowd of people huddled outside in the pouring rain. It turned out that nobody had keys to access the building. We endured a 50-minute wait for someone to finally unlock the doors, followed by another hour of chaotic catch-up. Not a single apology was offered to those completely drenched and inconvenienced. I'd previously heard negative comments about this practice, but experiencing it firsthand was even worse than I imagined. A sincere thank you to my GP, Dr. Miles at Meir Health Centre, for consistently delivering exceptional patient care in stark contrast to this disastrous experience.

Jackie saved the day at my surgery

Big kudos to Jackie at the medical center. This morning, I called but couldn't secure an appointment and was told to drop off a urine sample. Initially feeling dismissed and frustrated, I visited the clinic. At reception, Jackie was absolutely phenomenal! She genuinely listened, took my concerns seriously, and even advocated for me by speaking directly with the doctor. My worries were fully recognized and addressed. I successfully scheduled a telephone consultation for next week and was informed I'd receive my test results within a few days. I departed feeling significantly more reassured, knowing someone cared enough to proactively engage with a physician to ensure my situation would be properly managed. I'm truly grateful! So a huge thank you to Jackie for treating me like a valued individual rather than just another patient! She's an absolute asset to the medical practice.

I've been a patient at this medical practice for a long time, but since the recent management change, the quality of care has drastically declined, especially in the wake of the pandemic. Despite being diagnosed with high blood pressure, securing an appointment with a doctor or obtaining a prescription for my medication has become incredibly challenging. I strongly advise potential patients to think twice before selecting this surgery. I am actively seeking alternative healthcare providers as soon as possible.

My relatives and I have encountered predominantly negative interactions with this establishment. Their phone response time is excruciatingly slow, and even when someone finally answers, certain front desk employees display an unwarranted attitude of hostility and defensiveness. Navigating an appointment here feels as bureaucratic and intimidating as entering a high-security government building. It's truly disappointing, especially considering the small number of staff members who genuinely attempt to provide decent service.

Completely terrible experience. After relocating to Stoke in August, I selected Adderly Green Surgery as my preferred medical practice. They sent me a message indicating I should schedule my initial consultation, but since early September, I've been attempting to book an appointment daily and am consistently met with a "line busy" message. Additionally, when trying to schedule my COVID vaccination through their website, the system claims my birth date is incorrect. This practice desperately requires significant operational enhancements.

Terrible doctors wasted my time and energy

I received a call from the medical practice requesting my presence, and at the time, I was visiting my aunt in Birmingham. She made the entire trip from Birmingham just to ensure I could attend this appointment, only to be turned away without any resolution. It was a completely futile journey, squandering both my resources and time. These are undoubtedly the most incompetent doctors I've ever encountered, which has prompted me to terminate my relationship with this practice. I strongly advise potential patients to thoroughly examine the reviews beforehand! This is an exceptionally substandard medical facility, and I caution others to proceed with extreme caution!!

Compassionate care needed at drayton road surgery

Several aspects have evolved since the new team and rebranding took place. While most changes are positive, the initial patient interaction should be a smooth and comfortable experience. I observed an elderly gentleman who appeared to struggle with reading or writing, becoming visibly distressed when he was firmly told—not asked—that he couldn't request a repeat prescription without completing the necessary form. He insisted he could manage, but the receptionist came across as brusque and unsympathetic. This staff member was unfamiliar to me, unlike the other receptionists who generally seem pleasant. I urge the team to avoid assuming everyone has equal literacy or confidence, and to treat older patients, in particular, with dignity and respect. Would you want someone addressing your parents or grandparents in such a manner? The phone lines seem perpetually busy, and securing an appointment has become more challenging, with wait times stretching to 2-3 weeks in some instances. However, once I consulted the new nurse practitioner, she was exceptionally helpful. This review pertains to Drayton Road Surgery.
