Reception insisted on online form despite my concerns
Dear ALL I called to request an urgent appointment and was informed by reception staff that I would need to complete a form. I explained that I'm unable to do this as I'm not comfortable with computers, but the receptionist indicated that I would need to learn how to use them otherwise I wouldn't be able to book an appointment. I found this response deeply disappointing, as it seems to exclude people who aren't confident with technology from accessing appointments. Kind regards

Extremely poor experience on every visit. The clinical team does not appear to take patient concerns seriously when presenting with health issues, which raises concerns about their level of experience and competence. My partner has been managing an ongoing health condition since early 2024, which has deteriorated significantly, resulting in multiple emergency ambulance callouts and urgent care visits. My partner was identified as having a serious bacterial infection, yet this was not communicated to us—we only discovered this through consultation with a specialist elsewhere. When blood test results were received this year, the practice called to schedule a discussion appointment more than a week later. Given our significant concerns about the findings, we felt this timeframe was inappropriate and decided to seek a second opinion immediately. The alternative healthcare provider reviewed the results straight away and advised urgent hospital admission due to dangerously elevated inflammation markers. My partner is now receiving inpatient care and may require surgical intervention. Had we followed the original practice's suggested timeline, the outcome could potentially have been far more serious. I do not feel confident in the clinical judgment provided at this practice, as the response has been neither timely nor thorough, which is particularly problematic when diagnostic procedures and specialist referrals are needed.
