Terrible medical care that gets worse every time

Update on my previous review. Dropped from 2 to 1 star. Situation has not improved, only deteriorated. Phone lines are perpetually unattended. Staff consistently demonstrate unprofessional behavior. During a consultation, a doctor audibly scoffed and rolled her eyes when I requested additional testing to understand my compromised immune system. Her dismissive response was that if blood tests return clear, no further investigation would occur. When I sought clarification, she remained silent for an uncomfortable half-minute before tersely stating they "don't go beyond blood tests" - a stance I find medically questionable. E-consult appointments are exclusively telephone-based, with no option for in-person consultations. Scheduling a phone appointment requires months of waiting. I frequently must physically visit the GP to inquire about missed appointments, with staff unable to explain communication failures. This practice has consistently overlooked my medical concerns, repeatedly attributing them to past mental health challenges. Today, after updating my contact number this morning, my number appears to be blocked by their system. Despite maintaining complete politeness throughout our interactions, I'm now forced to return in person to understand why my number is non-functional and why my scheduled 1pm telephone appointment remains unaddressed. The current time is 2:36pm.

Deadly delay in medical care puts lives at risk

Seems like they're in cahoots with the local funeral home My relative experienced respiratory distress and was advised to contact 101. After enduring a one-hour wait, they reached out to the medical practice, only to be dismissed by a receptionist with no medical expertise, who casually mentioned they're closing soon and suggested calling back the next day. Breathing problems clearly demand urgent care, not to be carelessly handled by low-wage, unqualified staff members.

utterly useless. struggling intensely with mental health challenges, and instead of offering support, they choose to be completely uncooperative. their response was essentially just a dismissive 'what do you want me to do!' which shows zero empathy or willingness to assist.

Unprofessional ear syringing left dad wet and uncomfortable

I accompanied my elderly father, aged 89, to a medical procedure for ear syringing on June 29th, 2022. The entire process took under five minutes, but when he emerged, his shirt was completely drenched from shoulder to front. He mentioned that the water was supposed to be warmed, yet it was uncomfortably cold. No towel was provided, and no staff member offered to help dry him or his clothing. The healthcare team clearly requires additional training in both technical skills and patient compassion. Thoroughly disappointed with the experience.

Exceptional healthcare and compassionate staff at amc

I relocated from Lincoln to Andover in mid-2020 and initially struggled to register with a GP due to living in temporary housing. Once we secured permanent accommodation by year's end, I carefully researched local medical practices and called around. The AMC practice stood out to me, particularly because of their exceptionally professional and compassionate reception team. My interactions with the medical staff have been exemplary. The Diabetic Nurse, Beverley, and Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Justine, have both been outstanding professionals. What truly impresses me is their comprehensive follow-up care and the prompt communication about test results. Typically, I receive a detailed text from the doctor explaining the findings and recommended next steps. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the entire AMC staff for delivering such high-quality healthcare, especially during these challenging times.

Great care despite nhs funding challenges

I'm truly astounded by some of the remarks in these comments! It's incredible that these individuals seem to have visited the same healthcare facility. Everyone understands that scheduling medical appointments takes time, but it's unfair to criticize the hardworking medical professionals who are already stretched thin. The real issue lies with the Government's severe budget reductions for the National Health Service! The number of physicians is declining while patient numbers continue to rise! From my personal perspective, and that of my spouse, our interactions have been exceptionally positive. The medical staff have consistently demonstrated compassion and professionalism, while the reception team has always been courteous and helpful.

Scheduling an appointment takes an excessively long two weeks, even just to see a nurse. I was forced to seek private healthcare due to my hearing issues. The practice needs to understand that this level of service is completely unacceptable.
