I've had multiple unpleasant encounters with Doctor Ruth Hallgarten at this practice. She behaves as if she's infallible, treating the clinic like her personal domain and believing she can arbitrarily create and change rules at will. During my most recent appointment, she abruptly switched from an in-person meeting to a phone consultation without justification. She then proceeded to fabricate a phone call that never occurred, which was easily disproven by the screen in front of her. She even attempted to lie about statements allegedly made during this non-existent call. I want to remind this doctor that the practice is publicly funded, and she works for the people who support it! Curiously, feedback messages from NHS only seem to appear when they think they've satisfied you, but are notably absent when you challenge their performance. We're now relying on external resources like Google to ensure proper NHS/patient service. She's transparently disingenuous, with her true nature evident to anyone paying attention. She should focus on serving patients' needs rather than her own convenience, especially in the post-COVID era where her true professional character has become increasingly apparent.

Having resided in this neighborhood for three decades, I initially received care from John Scott and subsequently transitioned to Allerton Road Surgery approximately 15 years back. I can emphatically state that I'm relieved not to be experiencing health issues, as the front desk personnel would undoubtedly exacerbate any situation with their discourteous and dismissive approach toward patients. Reception Supervisor "Patricia" is precisely why you should avoid Allerton Road Medical Center, even if you're disabled or desperately in need of medical care! Seek out alternative facilities with staff who actually demonstrate basic human decency! The doctors are courteous and pleasant if you can manage to reach them; however, the staff, particularly the woman named "Patricia" who claims to be the Receptionist Supervisor at Allerton Road Medical Center, is hands-down the most discourteous individual I've ever encountered. After experiencing multiple negative interactions - and I'm certainly not alone in my community - I've finally decided to share this commentary to warn other potential patients. It's utterly impossible to request anything or attempt to explain your needs to her. She refuses to listen, and if you happen to have an accent like mine, she immediately becomes condescending, treating you as though you're unintelligent or troublesome. Such treatment would be unacceptable even in an underdeveloped authoritarian regime. Yet here in the UK, individuals like her are employed within NHS and CQC-accredited practices! This situation is completely unacceptable and frankly unbelievable!!! Urgent intervention is required to address these ongoing issues. Numerous local residents share identical complaints, but inexplicably, nothing ever changes.

I schedule my initial consultation. Upon arrival, the receptionist informs me it was supposed to be a telephone consultation, contrary to the original instructions. Consequently, I inadvertently missed the call. I'm assured a callback will be made, but no communication ever comes through - no calls, no voicemails. The receptionist maintains they definitely rang me. I reschedule the appointment. Prior to the next booking, I proactively confirm the consultation format. I'm told it's a phone consultation. When no call materializes, I reach out, only to be told it was actually an in-person meeting. Frustrated by the repeated miscommunication and incompetence, I promptly change my healthcare provider and do not regret my decision.

The staff's incompetence and discourtesy are appalling. The receptionists are unprofessional and deceitful when scheduling appointments. Getting test results is nearly impossible. They draw your blood and then seemingly discard the findings. Repeated attempts to inquire about results are met with silence. It appears they've forgotten the critical nature of handling patients' health concerns. Finding a competent and experienced physician seems like a futile endeavor. I would only consider this facility in the most dire circumstances. Completely dissatisfied with every aspect of their services.
