Canceled at 9:15 after traveling from london

Another utterly disastrous encounter I showed up a full ten minutes prior to my 9 am slot... was informed the nurse was delayed by 10 minutes By 9:15 when I inquired about the status, I was abruptly told my appointment was completely canceled I had journeyed all the way from London only to be sent back empty-handed This establishment deserves to be permanently closed down

The service was incredibly sluggish, and the front desk staff appeared completely unresponsive. I sought assistance for my anxiety and vertigo issues, yet when they finally returned my call, the pharmacist bizarrely mentioned something about sinusitis. After enduring a frustrating 45-minute wait just to speak with someone, all I wanted was to schedule an appointment with my general practitioner. It's no surprise people are turning to online medical resources out of sheer desperation.

Endless waiting for basic health care

My health concerns of elevated blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides have been met with an incredibly slow and frustrating medical response. It took me an entire month just to secure a brief phone consultation with a general practitioner, without even the option of an in-person examination. The GP then instructed me to rebook with a practice nurse for blood work, which I managed to schedule after another two-week delay. The entire process is dragging on, with another month and a half expected before I'll even see my test results. Then, I'll need to wait additional weeks to discuss those results with the practice. During this prolonged waiting period, patients' health conditions could potentially deteriorate significantly. Can we genuinely call this a healthcare system? They seem more proficient at wasting time and potentially causing harm to patients than providing timely medical care.

Terrible front desk ruined my visit

Perpetually discourteous front desk staff. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare. Even when the physician recommends a follow-up, the reception team creates obstacles. Worse, the doctor seemed unfamiliar with my medical history and somehow implied it was my responsibility for their lack of preparation.

Impossible to reach during morning hours

Completely ineffective service. Their phone lines are only open from 10 to 11am, and you're guaranteed to waste at least half an hour waiting. If you call outside that narrow window, they dismiss you by claiming they only handle urgent cases.

Endless wait and no appointment slots

Absolutely terrible service. Attempted to schedule an appointment, and after wasting 20 minutes on hold, I was told no slots were available and advised to visit a walk-in centre or A&E. Ended up spending 5 grueling hours waiting to see a doctor at the walk-in hub - this is a recurring nightmare every time I try to book an appointment.

Absolutely terrible experience. I reached out early in the morning seeking a medical consultation for my kids, suspecting they might have contracted scabies, and the receptionist dismissively claimed it wasn't a pressing matter, suggesting I take them to a pharmacy instead. This is absolute carelessness, and they show zero concern, merely scheduling a follow-up appointment in three weeks! Make absolutely certain what they've dispensed to you - HAD I CONSUMED THIS, IT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL! Utterly appalling.

If I could award zero stars, I absolutely would. Booking an appointment here is more challenging than attempting to consume liquid with a utensil with large holes. Impossible to book a doctor's appointment

Utterly disorganized, Alwoodley medical centre is an absolute embarrassment. I've spent two days attempting to secure an appointment for my child with zero success. The receptionists constantly redirect me to their online booking system, which consistently displays "No appointments available". If the centre is this overwhelmed, they should either cease accepting new patients or expand their medical staff to handle the demand.
