The appointment booking system functioned efficiently and I was pleased to receive an appointment promptly. However, it appeared that when I attended my consultation, the clinician had not reviewed my detailed written submission explaining the reason for my visit, which meant I needed to repeat the information I had already provided online. I was also disappointed to discover that the surgery had made a general referral to the neurology department at the hospital without specifically requesting the follow-up imaging scan that my privately-seen neurologist had recommended following an appointment in April. My neurologist had suggested a wait of approximately two months for this scan through the NHS, but I have now been waiting considerably longer than this timeframe. I remain concerned about this extended delay, particularly given my continuing symptoms and lack of progress, though I am grateful that the clinician has offered to contact the hospital to specifically request the imaging appointment and ensure the results are shared with my neurologist, whom I plan to consult privately again.

Quick response to urgent health concern

I submitted an online appointment request through the practice system and received a telephone call within 10 minutes to offer me an available slot within the hour. Upon arriving at the surgery, I was seen promptly by the nurse practitioner, who was very pleasant and professional. We had a comprehensive discussion about my symptoms, and my blood pressure and pulse were checked. It was determined that an ECG would be necessary, which was arranged quickly. A clinician was brought in to review the results, and it was decided that hospital assessment was required. An ambulance arrived within 10 minutes and transported me for additional investigations. The entire team demonstrated excellent care and efficiency throughout the process. I was contacted the following morning to check on my wellbeing. I was very satisfied with the standard of care provided by all involved.
