Delayed care for my daughter's broken collarbone

If I could award zero stars, I would. This service is completely ridiculous. My daughter suffered a collarbone fracture during our vacation, and although we received initial treatment at a foreign hospital, we were told to consult a pediatric surgeon back home. When I contacted my general practitioner to obtain a referral for the specialist (with complete hospital documentation and x-rays), they responded by suggesting a GP appointment in 1-2 days to discuss the referral... Are you serious????? What is there to discuss? My child has a broken bone and needs immediate attention!!!!! Absolutely unacceptable!!!!! Is this how medical professionals behave? Disgraceful!

Doctors who saved my life

I wouldn't consider switching healthcare providers after my experience with Amwell. They're absolutely flawless. The physicians are top-notch, and their administrative team is incredibly efficient and courteous. Having been their patient for a decade, I can count their errors on one hand. They've genuinely been lifesavers for me during my serious health challenges. On one memorable occasion, my doctor literally caught me as I was collapsing through the doorway, nearly unconscious. I'm completely devoted to their care and will defend them passionately. I wholeheartedly recommend giving them a chance - they're wonderfully compassionate and skilled :)

Worst mental health support ever

I've experienced from this practice for years is APPALLING. If alternatives existed, I wouldn't remain registered here. I'm not typically someone who complains, but I've reached my breaking point. There's a total absence of empathy and consideration, particularly for a delicate matter like mental health. This general practitioner completely discouraged me from seeking help for my mental well-being for 8 years, during which I attempted suicide twice. They demonstrate an utter lack of compassion for someone requiring a specialized care provider - a provider I was previously assured would be available. After all these years, I finally muster the courage to address my mental health again, and once more I'm entirely dissuaded from pursuing treatment if it means engaging with this GP, especially their phone staff. The whole situation is utterly unacceptable and rage-inducing.

If you somehow navigate past their automated "call back at 2pm for an appointment" script and actually secure a slot, you can be certain you'll endure a wait of at least 15 minutes or more. Today, I sat with my ill infant for 30 minutes beyond my scheduled time, and the staff displayed complete indifference. This isn't an isolated incident - it's a consistent pattern every single time we come here.

They recently made significant errors with my medication dosages, though I'm hopeful these will now be rectified. It's clear that local healthcare services are under immense pressure, with Hoddesdon experiencing substantial population growth due to extensive new housing developments, yet without corresponding increases in medical staffing or facilities. Despite the challenges, it's worth noting that compared to other practices in the area, this one still manages relatively better.
