I have been a patient at this practice for over six decades. Throughout this time, I have witnessed numerous changes in both the clinical and administrative teams. Despite facing significant financial constraints and the broader challenges affecting the NHS, this practice has consistently worked to sustain and enhance the quality of care they provide, even under considerable strain. In many respects, their efforts have been remarkable and they are deserving of considerable recognition. This is undoubtedly an excellent practice within the local area. My appreciation goes to everyone involved.

Friendly staff but appointments are hard to get
The reception team members are pleasant both when visiting in person and during telephone interactions. However, securing appointments proves quite challenging, and when available, they tend to be scheduled several weeks ahead and are frequently conducted over the phone. As an example, after calling to request an appointment, the earliest available slot was approximately four weeks later. From my experience, telephone consultations are sometimes not with the clinician whose name appears on the appointment confirmation, and if you happen to miss the call, there is no follow-up attempt to reschedule, regardless of what time they called. Additionally, there appears to be insufficient follow-up care. On one occasion, I was instructed to provide photographic evidence of a concern but did not receive a subsequent call to discuss the findings further. That said, the surgery premises are well-maintained and appear clean and hygienic. The clinical staff member was also approachable and demonstrated competence during a blood pressure check.

Long phone queue during lunch closure hours
I called the practice and waited on hold for over an hour while in second position in the queue. When someone finally answered, they explained that the surgery closes during the midday period, and indicated I should not have been kept waiting. I felt my time was wasted when the telephone lines should have been unavailable during closure hours. It would be more helpful if the lines were closed during this time so patients are not left waiting unnecessarily.

I found my experience at this practice to be quite disappointing. The reception team came across as unwelcoming and unhelpful, with an approach to communication that I found off-putting. The clinical staff were similarly not particularly warm or approachable. I had difficulty obtaining a sick note, and following a phone consultation regarding a health matter, I received a call with information that seemed disconnected from what we had discussed. The overall coordination between different parts of the practice felt poor, and I didn't feel that my concerns were being treated with much consideration. The interactions throughout felt rather distant and lacking in compassion.

Inconsistent advice from different doctors here
I found the experience quite frustrating. The advice I received seemed inconsistent depending on who I spoke with. On multiple occasions when I called, I was told I would be speaking with a clinician, but instead found myself communicating through an intermediary who was relaying information between myself and the medical team.
