Poor, unsafe, uncaring GP

AVOID if you can or take someone to witness conversations! Seen by x2 staff Ada Allen, who lacks communication skills, bedside manner and provides inaccurate advice and Dr Pearline Punnoose who treats women poorly, doesn't listen to patient concerns resulting in delivering poor helthcare with negative outcomes, lies about what happens during consultations and is risk adverse. Dr Punnoose's clinical judgements and advice have resulted in me becoming anaemic and being wrongly diagnosed with hypertension. The practice manager is collusive and attempts to manage complaints informally so there is no formal record to the appropriate bodies for fear of losing locum staff. Since registering with a new GP, the assessments and proposed treatments provided have been found to be incorrect and I have since been supported and provided with better healthcare albeit health needs that could have been avoided if the healthcare delivered by the clinicians at this surgery was sven close to safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led.

Terrible healthcare and dismissive medical professionals

I desperately want to award this medical practice zero stars. Steer clear and seek healthcare elsewhere. After two decades, I'm departing due to abysmal medical care. Ms Ada Allen demonstrates terrible communication and provides misleading guidance. Dr Pearline Punnose is even more problematic, completely disregarding patient concerns, which leads to unfair and harmful clinical decisions that compromise patient health. She misdiagnoses patients and denies equitable treatment access - I was left battling anaemia from her clinical choices and diagnosed with hypertension because Dr Punnose refused to provide a blood pressure monitor and dishonestly claimed otherwise. Dr Punnoose appears fundamentally incapable of offering gender-sensitive advice and consistently dismisses women's health needs and worries. During my final consultation in February 2024, I expressed feeling marginalized, and Dr Punnoose's response was the dismissive "we didn't choose to be women". My attempts to file formal complaints only escalated my difficulties, with retaliatory treatment including medication discontinuation. Complaint investigation policies were blatantly ignored, with my inquiries either completely disregarded or answered so inadequately that the practice manager's seriousness seemed non-existent. The practice manager appears deliberately obstructive, attempting to manage complaints informally to avoid reporting to regulatory bodies like CQC, likely to protect locum staffing. I have zero confidence in this surgery's ability to deliver quality healthcare or responsibly address mistakes. Since changing to my new GP, I've experienced what genuine patient care should represent, and this practice falls dramatically short. Notably, numerous similar reviews exist, yet this GP remains registered as the practice's manager.

Dr. Punnoose displays a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. When I sought reassurance about my condition, she dismissively laughed and sarcastically remarked that she can't read minds, predict the future, or perform magic. The entire medical practice seems unprofessional, with the sole exception of nurse Debs, who stands out as genuinely caring and competent.

Dismissive doctor fails to address patient concerns

The physician displayed a complete lack of empathy and refused to genuinely listen to my health concerns. Every consultation with Dr. Punnoose follows the same frustrating pattern: dismissing my symptoms and hastily prescribing antibiotics. After experiencing recurring health issues for years, a thorough investigation should be conducted instead of condescendingly explaining basic medical information as if I were intellectually incapable. Her apparent sole objective is to expedite patient interactions without providing meaningful care, treating patients with blatant disregard for their health concerns. This approach is deeply disturbing and actively discourages patients from seeking medical attention. I find myself postponing appointments until my condition becomes severely problematic, only to be met with indifference and dismissal when I finally muster the courage to seek help. Her unprofessional conduct is alarming, and I strongly suspect that her negligent approach could potentially result in undiagnosed serious conditions for myself and other patients, conditions that might have been preventable with proper medical attention, compassion, and genuine understanding.

On a positive note, the front desk personnel are exceptional, consistently warm and helpful. It's unfortunate that the quality of medical care falls so short. Prescription chaos at medical centre endangers patient health

I've been a patient at this medical centre for three years, and the quality of service and staff performance has steadily deteriorated. The prescription service is consistently problematic, repeatedly mishandling my monthly medication needs. Today, August 4th, 2023, was particularly frustrating. When I went to collect my prescription, only one item was available at the pharmacy. Upon inquiring about the missing medications, I was told they weren't authorized due to the absence of a pharmacist. I emphasized that this is not my responsibility, but received an unhelpful and dismissive response. When I expressed concern about being left without medication over the weekend, the staff member simply shrugged off my complaint, stating they couldn't do anything. I was left questioning why only one of my ten prescribed items was ready, and the staff's attitude suggested I had no right to challenge their poor service. I'm now hoping my local chemist (which is closed on weekends) might be able to help me obtain the critical medications I desperately need.

Frustrating wait exposes broken healthcare system

Enduring a grueling 9-hour wait in the emergency department just to obtain antibiotics for a chest infection, I'm once again frustrated by a GP surgery contributing to the NHS's overwhelming pressure. This clinic's apparent lack of patient care and ineffective appointment system is utterly unacceptable. Another completely useless medical practice that desperately needs to improve its approach to patient treatment.

The doctors, however, seem rather mediocre and particularly when it comes to assisting individuals with disabilities, they appear reluctant to address fundamental accessibility concerns. This facility might suffice if you have infrequent, straightforward medical needs, but I cannot recommend it for anyone requiring ongoing, reliable support. Regrettably, the medical attention falls short of expectations.
