Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience at this practice, with stark contrasts in care quality across different service areas. Reception staff receive consistent praise for courtesy, efficiency, and helpfulness, while nursing care is frequently described as skilled and compassionate. However, appointment access remains a significant barrier, with patients reporting waits of three to six weeks for consultations and difficulty securing in-person visits. Communication responsiveness is inconsistent, with some patients experiencing delayed responses to digital requests and challenges navigating the online booking system.

Medical consultations present the most concerning pattern, with multiple accounts of dismissive physician behaviour, lack of empathy during patient interactions, and insufficient clinical attention to patient concerns. Several patients describe feeling unheard or judged rather than supported during appointments. The practice's shift towards digital-first communication has created additional friction, with patients expressing frustration about lengthy online symptom submission processes and difficulty reaching staff by phone. While some long-term patients report positive continuity of care and professional expertise, others describe a noticeable decline in service standards and accessibility over recent years.

Rude Staff and Dismissive Care at NHS Clinic

Terrible Experience at This GP Clinic – Avoid at All Costs I'm utterly bewildered that the NHS continues to endorse this establishment—it's an absolute embarrassment to healthcare standards. I'm genuinely astounded that such a clinic remains operational under NHS oversight. I encountered nothing but cold indifference and blatant disrespect. The staff demonstrated remarkable unprofessionalism, consistently rude and dismissive. I personally observed discriminatory conduct that created significant discomfort, with several interactions feeling distinctly racially motivated - an absolutely unacceptable scenario in any medical environment. Scheduling appointments seems deliberately obstructive, and when you finally secure a consultation, it's conducted with minimal care and rushed urgency. There's a complete absence of empathy, meaningful communication, and professional accountability. Patients are clearly viewed as inconveniences rather than individuals genuinely seeking medical assistance. Without question, this represents the most abysmal GP clinic I've experienced in London. The complete lack of professional standards and basic human compassion is truly shocking.

Endless GP Roulette and 84-Hour Wait Times

I'm deeply disappointed to report that this is the most subpar medical practice I've encountered. Since becoming a patient, I've never been assigned a consistent GP and have been shuffled between different doctors constantly. Securing a consultation has been incredibly challenging, with wait times often stretching to several days, even when I'd call first thing in the morning at 8:00am. The last straw was submitting an online form (the sole method of communication) and receiving a response stating a potential 84-hour turnaround time - utterly absurd! On multiple occasions, I've experienced doctors literally searching Google for my symptoms during consultations, which is completely unacceptable. I could have performed the same internet research myself. The standard of care was so poor that I'm immensely relieved to have finally moved to a different practice.

Patches request solved despite service interruption

Despite submitting a patches request, I encountered a service disruption during my international travel, causing me to miss receiving an appointment notification until 7 hours after the scheduled time. Upon contacting them the following day to explain and seek a rescheduled appointment, I specified certain dates due to my travel constraints. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative that they successfully accommodated my request.

Scott's Team Saved My Life

Originally a smooth surgical experience, with phenomenal nursing and technical staff despite subpar general practitioner care. A special mention to Scott, who exemplifies professional excellence. The doctors, however, were a completely different scenario: dismissing symptoms, disregarding requests, and diagnosing through academic credentials. I was informed that my recurring eye swelling was attributed to poor hygiene. Remarkably, no one inquired about my actual hygiene routine, and the assessment was conducted remotely via telephone (!). My throat irritation was casually dismissed as "likely a cold", my intermittent balance loss labeled as "stress". When examining my ear for phantom sensations, the doctor claimed it was "just debris and dirt" in the canal. Subsequently, I scheduled an ear cleaning, and the technician's images revealed perfectly clean ear canals, even apologizing for charging for the visit. The physicians were aggressively intent on minimizing my NHS interactions, attempting to eliminate medications and follow-ups, and essentially treating me like an anxious hypochondriac. Eventually, I utilized the private healthcare provided through my workplace. My private physician discovered a 25mm cancerous tumor affecting my lymph nodes (explaining the eye swelling and throat complications) and an inner ear condition responsible for my dizziness and balance disruptions. But apparently, I was just a hypochondriac. Steer clear.

Missed Crohn's Diagnosis Left Her Suffering

Recounting my daughter's medical ordeal. Her persistent urinary tract infection failed to respond to multiple antibiotic treatments. Intense abdominal discomfort and nausea were completely disregarded. Throughout four weeks, she never received an actual medical consultation. No diagnostic blood work was conducted or even suggested. At one point, the physician callously asked, "What do you think is wrong with you?"! Fortunately, private health coverage enabled an immediate referral that quickly revealed stomach inflammation and critical health indicators through a straightforward blood test. She ultimately received a Crohn's disease diagnosis. The general practitioner's office demonstrated shocking negligence, effectively dismissing her genuine symptoms and making her feel as though she was fabricating her medical concerns. One can only imagine the plight of patients lacking health insurance resources.

We sincerely hope Sheila's supervisor recognizes her outstanding work 🙏

Ashville's Doctors Got Me in Fast

I'm genuinely puzzled by the mediocre three-star average rating. In my experience, Ashville stands out as an exceptionally managed medical facility with compassionate and highly skilled healthcare professionals. Their communication and responsiveness are truly impressive, with wait times typically measured in minutes or hours, which is quite extraordinary. Whenever urgent care is needed, they consistently offer same-day appointments. I firmly believe this practice is unmatched in quality and service.

Compassionate Care During My Complicated Pregnancy

I am absolutely blown away by the exceptional care and professionalism of this medical practice and its staff. Managing a chronic condition while navigating a highly complex pregnancy was incredibly challenging, but the team made my experience remarkably supportive. From the accommodating approach of letting me easily drop off urine samples when I suspected a UTI, to their proactive mental health check-ins every couple of months, to promptly referring me to a specialist after experiencing chest pain - their attentiveness was truly remarkable. Dr. Beach, Dr. Jenkins, Dr. Aras, and Dr. Rashidy were phenomenal, and I cannot speak highly enough about their compassionate and comprehensive approach to my healthcare.

Terrible wait times for cancer patient care

Absolutely dreadful customer service, with reception personnel displaying an insufferable sense of superiority. Scheduling an appointment is practically unattainable, and the situation becomes even more challenging for a cancer patient. I attempted to secure an injection and was informed of a week-long waiting period. Ultimately, I was compelled to seek private treatment. The staff seem to have completely lost sight of their core purpose: providing compassionate care to the community.

Phone Consultations Feel Like a Guessing Game

I've been associated with this medical practice for a while, and I'm only now utilizing their services extensively due to a specific health issue. If possible, I would switch providers, but I'm skeptical that it would make any meaningful difference. Nowadays, you never actually see a physician in person; instead, they merely conduct phone consultations and request photographic evidence of your medical concern, which seems absurd since those images could potentially be from anywhere. Moreover, navigating the convoluted Patches system to even secure a phone appointment is incredibly frustrating. General practitioners have become increasingly complacent since the pandemic, seemingly more concerned with keeping patients out of their physical office than providing genuine care. Ultimately, it's simply a subpar healthcare experience.

Jesrey's Rude Reception Ruined My Care

I've been a patient at this practice for years without any issues until recently. The reception staff have always been helpful and pleasant, but Jesrey is by far the most discourteous receptionist I've ever encountered. I recognize that their job can be demanding, yet I find it unacceptable to be yelled at with "I SAID THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO" after they themselves cancelled my appointment on the same day! They claim they cannot help, but when my family member—who has 10 years of NHS experience and knows the policies—calls to complain, suddenly an appointment becomes available in two days. Just when I thought the situation might improve, they cancelled my appointment again the night before. Then I received a call from a doctor suggesting I find a referral, with a condescending attitude that was truly offensive. She dismissively told me to go to a travel clinic, completely disregarding that most people cannot afford to spend over £100 on vaccines that should be free under the NHS. The entire experience has been utterly unprofessional. Their reviews reveal a pattern of deflecting blame onto patients, showing no accountability or compassion. It's evident they have no genuine concern for their patients' well-being. I'm relieved to have now registered with a new medical practice.

Following years of minimal interaction with this medical center, save for recent encounters, I must now echo a prior critique that "Ashville Surgery poses a genuine threat to patient well-being". Consequently, I have relocated my medical care to an alternative GP practice in Fulham, having completely lost confidence in the physicians at Ashville Surgery and exhausted my patience with their discourteous and disregarding front desk personnel!

Sick Notes Confusion After Multiple Calls

I've been trying to get my sick notes processed for several days now, and I'm experiencing significant frustration. Initially, when I spoke with a staff member yesterday, they could see my sick note request and assured me they would follow up. However, no update has come through. When I followed up again today, a different staff member claimed they couldn't even locate my original request. This inconsistency has left me completely bewildered and uncertain about the status of my documentation.

Rude Carol and the Dismissive Doctor

Discourteous and critical staff mar an otherwise decent healthcare experience. The unpredictable nature of service interactions became evident during a routine medication assessment request. Despite following standard online procedures and being assured my request would be processed for next-day pharmacy collection, I encountered significant frustration. When I arrived, the arrangements were not as promised. Attempting to resolve this, I was abruptly interrupted and treated dismissively by an employee named Carol, which prompted me to file a formal complaint. Dr. Aras's subsequent response was equally disappointing - his sarcastic "apology" and suggestion to address issues directly with Carol demonstrated a lack of professional accountability, especially considering he supervises her. It's particularly unfortunate given that previous interactions with other staff members have been consistently helpful and pleasant. Notably, his follow-up correspondence seemed more concerned with defending his approach than addressing the underlying service issues. The suggestion of "taking business elsewhere" is particularly ironic in a public healthcare system where patient options are limited. While the specific individuals involved performed poorly, the broader healthcare team has consistently demonstrated competence and compassion.

Who do you think you are

They violated my basic human rights under the Geneva Convention denied me access to my right to medical care and so reported it. As I have been victim of I'D fraud since 2009 more than once called to notify them that I had reported this and was bizarrely told I'm registered elsewhere which I know nothing about and deny. Thevpracticevmanager was insultingvand refused to give me the details in addition I withdrew registry months ago due to this and leaving England and they still hold my details clearly so I requested a copy of my records held on file by them and under FOI details of the alleged practice and they have not complied further violating my rights and withholding information.
