Patient feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience at this practice, with stark contrasts in care quality across different service areas. Reception staff receive consistent praise for courtesy, efficiency, and helpfulness, while nursing care is frequently described as skilled and compassionate. However, appointment access remains a significant barrier, with patients reporting waits of three to six weeks for consultations and difficulty securing in-person visits. Communication responsiveness is inconsistent, with some patients experiencing delayed responses to digital requests and challenges navigating the online booking system.
Medical consultations present the most concerning pattern, with multiple accounts of dismissive physician behaviour, lack of empathy during patient interactions, and insufficient clinical attention to patient concerns. Several patients describe feeling unheard or judged rather than supported during appointments. The practice's shift towards digital-first communication has created additional friction, with patients expressing frustration about lengthy online symptom submission processes and difficulty reaching staff by phone. While some long-term patients report positive continuity of care and professional expertise, others describe a noticeable decline in service standards and accessibility over recent years.

Frustrating Wait at Asheville Medical Office
I reached the Asheville clinic at 3:10 for my 3:15 scheduled visit. Since my regular doctor is at Lillyville, I was unaware of the nearly invisible sign-in board tucked away in the corner, which appeared unused. Despite sitting directly in front of the reception desk for almost an hour, I received no assistance. Ultimately, they canceled my appointment, claiming I was "late" because the nurse was in a meeting. I'm completely baffled by the receptionist's apparent confusion about my presence, as I was clearly sitting right in front of them the entire time.

Pharmacist Dismissed My Concerns Rudely
Hung up on during a phone call by the clinical pharmacist, I was talked over and dismissed. Her rapid speech prevented me from articulating my crucial points, ignoring the fundamental principle that actions provoke reactions. When I didn't simply agree with her predetermined narrative, she disregarded my personal experience entirely. Such prejudiced and closed-minded approaches are completely inappropriate when addressing delicate circumstances. I anticipate the practice manager will reflexively support her position without genuinely investigating the situation, automatically accepting her account despite its lack of integrity. Consequently, no meaningful insight or improvement will emerge from this interaction. Congratulations to the clinical pharmacist for demonstrating such remarkably unprofessional conduct.

Worst Doctor's Office I've Ever Visited
Extremely discourteous personnel, lacking empathy and completely uncooperative - arguably the most disastrous mix imaginable for a medical practice!

Diabetes Care Went Downhill at Ashville Surgery
After my mother was released from the hospital with her diabetes medication, she enrolled as a patient at Ashville Surgery. Unfortunately, her secondary treatment was discontinued, leading to significant weight gain of approximately four dress sizes.

Receptionists Make This Surgery Special
Ashville Surgery is truly exceptional. The medical staff, including doctors and nurses, are outstanding and consistently dedicated to providing the best possible care. However, the receptionists are the true highlight of this practice. I've never encountered a medical office with such compassionate and attentive front desk staff. Eric, in particular, is a standout employee who always greets patients with a warm smile and goes to extraordinary lengths to assist. Whether in person or on the phone, he ensures patients receive the support they need. His exceptional service deserves recognition, and quite frankly, a substantial salary increase!

Dr Beach made my healthcare journey smooth
Exceptional service that truly stands out from typical NHS experiences. The staff's helpfulness is extraordinary, making every interaction smooth and supportive. Whenever I've required medical assistance, they've been incredibly responsive and accommodating. Dr. J Beach is an outstanding healthcare professional who epitomizes excellent patient care. I am thoroughly impressed and cannot speak highly enough about Ashville medical practice.

Dr. Aras: Coldest Doctor I've Ever Met
I'm generally satisfied with the services provided, but Dr. Aras is completely devoid of empathy and compassion. His bedside manner is shockingly harsh, and he consistently delivers cutting remarks that could deeply hurt patients. His lack of professional sensitivity is alarming, and he seems to have no regard for patients, especially children and vulnerable individuals. I strongly caution anyone against seeing him, as his cold and insulting approach makes him unfit to work in healthcare.

Scott Made My Blood Draw Easy
I'm eager to express my appreciation for Ashville Medical Center, where the staff's warmth and dedication truly shine. Scott, in particular, deserves special mention for his exceptional phlebotomy skills - his blood draw was so gentle that I barely noticed it happening. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Ashville for their commitment and outstanding service.

Terrible service during pandemic for my dad
I wouldn't even award this a single star! The service is utterly useless, with staff displaying an incredibly dismissive and condescending attitude. It's clear they're exploiting the pandemic as an excuse to provide minimal effort. I absolutely cannot recommend this surgery to anyone. Anyone giving a 5-star rating is either receiving preferential treatment or works there. My visually impaired father, who isn't comfortable with computers, is being forced to order medication online. Even worse, when my sister called, they carelessly disclosed his password without verifying her identity. THEY NEED TO COMPLETELY OVERHAUL THEIR PRESCRIPTION PROCESS - TAKE IT OFFLINE AND HANDLE IT THROUGH PHONE COMMUNICATION!! They should focus on making medication access simpler, especially during these challenging times, and seriously consider hiring more competent receptionists who actually understand customer service.

Quick and Easy Healthcare at My Local Surgery
I've never encountered a more impressive medical practice than this GP surgery. Their operations are streamlined and well-coordinated. A standout feature is their top-notch website, which enables patients to submit inquiries and concerns electronically, eliminating the need for phone calls to the clinic.

Scott Owen Helped Me Conquer My Needle Phobia
Ashville SW6 is an exceptional medical practice My fear of needles used to be overwhelming... but not anymore! As a relatively new patient at Ashville Surgery, I recently visited Scott Owen - a Healthcare Assistant - for a blood draw. I cannot speak highly enough of him - Scott is both personable and skilled, and I instantly felt comfortable the moment I stepped into his consultation room. The reception staff were equally welcoming and polite. A well-deserved 5-Star rating for Ashville!

Friendly doctors who truly listen
Throughout my twelve months as a patient at this practice, I've had an entirely positive experience without any issues. The medical staff consistently demonstrate warmth and professionalism, ensuring I feel completely at ease during my visits. They genuinely pay attention to my concerns and provide excellent support. Although the front desk can get quite hectic, the receptionists remain committed to delivering top-notch service and are consistently accommodating.

Frustrated by Dismissive Doctor at Ashville
During a medical checkup overseas in February, my blood tests revealed elevated cholesterol levels and compromised kidney performance. The physician advised a follow-up in six months, which I diligently pursued today. The doctor at Ashville confronted me in a manner that bluntly suggested I was squandering public healthcare resources. As a contributing taxpayer with a legitimate health issue, I've only sought medical attention twice in three years. My response is that a professional in a position of responsibility should exercise more empathy and thoughtfulness when communicating with patients. As a result of today's interaction, I am frustrated, disheartened, and actively seeking alternative medical care.

Friendly NHS Registration on a Scorching Day
A recommendation from a local neighbor led us to Ashville as newcomers to the United Kingdom. Initially uncertain about the experience, we were delightfully surprised by the warm reception. Upon submitting our passports and necessary documentation at the front desk, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Despite it being the most sweltering day of the year, the reception staff remained incredibly friendly, helpful, and flexible. We were swiftly registered and assigned NHS numbers. When I subsequently called with follow-up inquiries, the gentleman at reception was exceptionally courteous and customer-focused. While we haven't yet scheduled any medical appointments or received clinical treatment, our initial interactions with the practice have been remarkably positive. The front-office experience has exceeded our expectations, and we're thoroughly impressed! Kudos to the team! :-)

Terrible GP with endless appointment delays
A truly abysmal general practice. They've misplaced my referral on three separate occasions and repeatedly redirected me to alternative clinics due to their inability to schedule an appointment. The typical waiting period for a consultation stretches between 4 to 6 weeks. The physicians are discourteous, the administrative team is incompetent, and there's a complete absence of empathy for patients in distress. Unequivocally dreadful.
