Terrible service and misleading opening hours

The clinic consistently fails to adhere to its stated opening hours! Previously, they would open at 8am, but now they don't start operations until after 9am, despite their online and physical signage indicating 8am. I brought my elderly mother at 8:15am, expecting the doors to be open, only to discover a group of frustrated patients waiting. We lingered for 15 minutes before giving up and returning home. The manager here is completely incompetent. He should either personally arrive to open the clinic or at least guarantee timely operations. When I voiced my complaint, his response was shockingly indifferent. This is absolutely the worst medical facility in Hackney.

I have great respect for my healthcare providers, but the front desk staff are truly problematic. Their demeanor is abrasive, and they come across as aggressive and impatient. They make patients feel like an inconvenience and seem intent on dictating whether an appointment is truly necessary. They appear reluctant to address any questions or concerns, and their approach is so off-putting that even my elderly mother feels uncomfortable reaching out to them. To be honest, I would gladly seek medical services through an alternative method that bypasses direct interaction with these receptionists 😞

Disappointing decline in once excellent medical centre

Despite enjoying nearly three years of excellent service at Athena medical centre, I've reluctantly decided to discontinue my association. The medical staff, including doctors and nurses, have consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism and provided outstanding care that I've always appreciated. Regrettably, the prescription management team has been a significant disappointment, repeatedly causing me unnecessary complications. Their lack of efficiency has subjected me to considerable stress and additional financial burden. Their disorganization and incompetence have ultimately undermined the otherwise high-quality medical practice. It's truly disheartening to part ways after such a long and generally positive relationship.

The medical professionals are incredibly supportive. The front desk staff is absolutely terrible. Throughout nearly thirty years, I've never encountered a satisfactory interaction at reception. If not for the compassionate general practitioners, I would have switched to Nightingale clinic without hesitation.
