Medical appointments are typically accompanied by apprehension and stress, yet whenever I have attended this practice I have consistently received courteous, warm and professional care that genuinely helps to alleviate my anxiety! That said, a short while back I was presented with an unexpected opportunity to take a last-minute break, with the only obstacle being an insufficient supply of my medication. The member of staff at the pharmacy counter was exceptionally accommodating and went above and beyond to assist me, which allowed me to proceed with the trip. It was truly outstanding service and I wanted to express my sincere gratitude!

I would like to express my gratitude to the healthcare professional who provided acupuncture treatment for my back, which has been very beneficial for me. The same practitioner also assisted with my husband's medication management. The nursing staff, receptionists, and doctors all do an excellent job and are consistently helpful and courteous. We feel fortunate to have access to a surgery of this standard. My husband and I relocated from another area, and we appreciate the quality of care we receive here compared to what we experienced previously.

I have been associated with this practice for many decades. Although I relocated several years ago, I have frequently needed to liaise with the surgery regarding a family member's care in the area. I have found the current system to be disappointing. While there are numerous areas of concern, my primary frustration is with telephone accessibility. Waiting extended periods before calls are disconnected is unacceptable and has occurred repeatedly, including when attempting to reach the pharmacy.

I recently spoke with a member of the management team regarding the prescription collection service at the practice. When I attended to collect a prescription, I experienced a wait of approximately 5 minutes before anyone from that department became available to assist me. During this time, I observed a staff member at their desk engaged in a phone conversation, which included periods of laughter. Upon enquiring at reception about staffing levels in that area, I was informed there were three people working. The staff member I had observed overheard my question and indicated they would attend to me once their call concluded. I raised my concerns with the manager about the quality of service being provided to patients. Upon reflection, I have come to realise this was not an isolated incident. Throughout my time attending the practice over recent months, I have regularly noticed a considerable number of patients waiting for their prescriptions to be processed. On several occasions, I observed the same group of patients still waiting when I departed after my own appointment, with additional patients having joined the queue in the interim. I feel this level of service has persisted without adequate intervention or resolution. I believe action is required to address this matter.

When I visited the practice seeking a particular treatment option, I was instead offered an alternative therapy that proved effective for me. We should clarify that we do not provide eye testing services. Instead, we offer assistance to individuals across the area who experience visual difficulties, including social programmes, practical aids, and wellbeing support. Truly outstanding care, having grown up in this locality I have consistently benefited from the village medical services available to us. The practice consistently provides excellent care, with staff remaining supportive from initial telephone discussions through to in-person appointments. No concern is dismissed as insignificant. Throughout recent challenging times, home visits were arranged and on occasion clinical samples were collected in the car park to minimise exposure risks. Due to a personal health condition, I am unable to wear a mask, and a serious health condition was identified during a home visit and promptly investigated and treated. Following the subsequent medical intervention, I am grateful to report a positive outcome. The pharmacy team have been remarkably helpful, managing to maintain medication supplies despite wider availability challenges and staffing difficulties. The team members are consistently courteous and pleasant, remaining patient even when telephone wait times are extended. I personally find automated telephone systems challenging, though this is simply a personal preference. Both my spouse and I wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in our care.
