Feedback across the file reveals a deeply divided patient experience, with significant operational challenges overshadowing isolated pockets of positive care. The most consistent concern centres on appointment access, with patients reporting extended phone queues lasting 30 minutes to over an hour, frequent unavailability of same-day slots, and waiting periods stretching weeks or months even for urgent matters. Reception experience is similarly polarised: while some patients praise courteous and helpful staff, others describe dismissive, curt, or disrespectful interactions that compound frustration when seeking care. Communication gaps persist throughout the booking journey, with patients struggling to reach the practice and receiving limited guidance on alternatives when appointments cannot be secured.
Where clinical care is accessed, responses vary markedly. Several patients report compassionate nursing care, responsive clinicians, and efficient vaccination services delivered with professionalism. However, other accounts describe lack of responsiveness, poor clinical decision-making, and insufficient support during urgent situations. Complaints about system inefficiency are widespread, including delays in processing correspondence, unresponsive complaint procedures, and reliance on digital platforms that patients find difficult to navigate. A minority of reviews highlight exceptional individual practitioners and welcoming environments, yet these positive experiences are substantially outweighed by accounts of prolonged waiting times, appointment scarcity, and perceived indifference to patient needs.
The practice appears to be managing significant capacity constraints, though this does not fully account for the consistency of complaints regarding communication and responsiveness. Patients express particular concern about access barriers during urgent health situations and the limited availability of timely medical consultation, with some reporting they have resorted to alternative services including walk-in centres and private healthcare.

Bad!
Terrible healthcare experience with dr iq app
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The service is abysmal, from the general practitioners to the reception staff, and the DR IQ app is even more disappointing. Getting through on the phone takes an eternity, and the clinicians display a complete lack of empathy. The service is so terrible that I've already switched medical practices. I submitted a formal complaint to the surgery, which promised to acknowledge receipt within two business days. Nearly a month has passed, but what else can you anticipate from a practice that dismisses patients by labeling them as overweight or attributing every symptom to fibromyalgia, regardless of the actual reason for the visit. Update: After a month-long delay in responding, as evident from my original review, I filed a complaint. My concerns are so significant that the NHS review I submitted could not be published and I was advised to contact the Clinical Commissioning Group.

Bizarre health device fails spectacularly
Ring those folks claim no physicians, what an absolute exercise in futility. The BBC's reporting was spot-on from the start, and meanwhile the phone keeps ringing incessantly.

Terrible healthcare service that fails patients completely
Abysmal service, zero compassion, and clearly unqualified staff. The BBC's investigation hit the nail on the head. This establishment is below any acceptable standard. No availability at 8:40, over an hour on hold, and I'm unable to schedule tests without a doctor's referral, which requires an appointment. My situation is critical due to their ineptitude, and I'll likely end up hospitalized. What a disgrace. The receptionist callously mentioned a potential 6-month wait for hospital referral processing. I'm thoroughly distressed. This experience is utterly demoralizing and anxiety-inducing.

Terrible healthcare service that endangers patient lives
Total embarrassment. Whether you ring at 8 PM or 9 PM - they consistently lack available appointments and always accuse you of contacting them too late. Even attempting to submit a sample for evaluation requires a scheduled meeting. A month ago, my wife ended up hospitalized due to their abysmal service and the doctor's continuous unavailability, and today the scenario is repeating itself. Once again, I must take time away from work because the general practitioner is completely incapable of delivering fundamental medical services. DISGRACEFUL!!! Not to mention, you'll typically waste countless hours just trying to connect on the phone, only to be dismissed and criticized for supposedly calling at an inconvenient time... Steer clear at all costs if you value your health.

Worst medical service ever avoid at all costs
I reluctantly awarded a single star just to submit this critique. These services are futile, as you'd likely expire before receiving medical attention. When I attempted to schedule an appointment on 28 June, the earliest available slot was a phone consultation on 27 July. Although I seldom require medical care, in the three instances I've sought treatment during my four-year registration, I've ultimately been compelled to seek help at the local hospital. Spending a few hours in the waiting room (which was recently packed with patients from this very practice) is infinitely preferable to trying to secure a doctor's appointment here. I am actively exploring alternative medical practices in the area that might actually provide timely and accessible healthcare.

Terrible service and impossible to book appointments
This clinic's quality continues to decline with each passing year. Securing an appointment requires dedicating two entire days to phone calls. And even then, you'll only manage a phone consultation scheduled a month in advance. Their service standards have seriously deteriorated compared to the past. If you have any alternative options for a general practitioner, I strongly recommend exploring them!!!

Frustrating healthcare system fails patients miserably
What's become of this healthcare system!!! I've been calling daily for a week, and when I finally got through, there were no available appointments. You're forced to wait weeks for critical test results needed for medication, and the unaddressed health issues people will encounter could prove more devastating than Covid ever was. It's time to move forward, Doctors need to actually see their patients - the people suffering right now are the ones being completely overlooked!!

Frustrating healthcare experience with endless phone wait
The waiting time to speak with someone on the phone remains unchanged since COVID. You might find yourself on hold for up to 1.5 hours, even outside of peak morning hours when trying to schedule an appointment. My experience with their treatments has been extremely frustrating. I've been dealing with a medical issue for over eight months, and they've conducted numerous unsuccessful investigations without providing any medication!!!!!

Worst healthcare experience ever terrible reception service
Getting an appointment here is a nightmare, and communicating with the reception staff is an exercise in pure exasperation. The wait times are ridiculous - I've frequently spent up to 60 minutes in a phone queue, only to reach the front and be told they can't assist me or have the call mysteriously disconnect. The situation is so dire that my family has resorted to private healthcare, but even then, we're still required to navigate the GP surgery's bureaucratic maze. Securing a simple referral has become an ordeal of persistent calling and mounting frustration, with no guarantee of success.

Excellent nurse turns terrible centre around
Following an extended period of disappointing service at the centre, I finally met with Hannah, the lead nurse practitioner. She was incredibly welcoming, meticulous in her approach, and completely put me at ease during the consultation. Additionally, the receptionist who scheduled my appointment was excellent. I'm optimistic that the centre is on its way to returning to its previous high standards.
