Terrible service and long wait at clinic

Waited three weeks just to get a blood test. The front desk personnel were completely unhelpful, with zero communication skills. No one at reception could provide clear directions about where I needed to go. When they finally started, they were already 10 minutes behind schedule and seemed more interested in socializing and serving each other tea than assisting patients. This facility is entirely inadequate and fails to meet basic healthcare service standards.

My self-worth has been completely shattered, leaving me feeling utterly disregarded and insignificant. Frustrating healthcare experience with no real help

I completed the digital consultation questionnaire, only to be directed to phone the clinic for medical guidance. Upon calling, I was informed that no appointments were available until 8:00 Monday (this was Friday around 2:30pm). While I understand their constraints, the receptionist made no effort to inquire about my health situation, simply suggesting I visit a walk-in clinic. Unfortunately, my medical condition is severely limiting my mobility, rendering their recommendation essentially useless. Follow-up... Five months later, absolutely no progress has been made. The medical professionals themselves seem competent, but the fundamental problem lies in the appointment scheduling process. Securing a consultation has become an incredibly frustrating experience. I've decided to escalate this matter by contacting our local member of parliament.

The front desk staff member I communicated with yesterday morning was incredibly supportive and compassionate. Although I regret not noting her name, she was genuinely warm, courteous, professional, and empathetic. As a healthcare practice manager myself, I fully appreciate the immense pressures facing medical personnel, and I firmly believe in acknowledging those who demonstrate exceptional service. Congratulations to Edge Hill Health Centre for their remarkable assistance and genuine care. My mother was deeply anxious about potentially not securing a GP consultation. Ultimately, she received a face-to-face appointment, underwent a comprehensive medical examination, and obtained appropriate treatment.

Frustrating and time-consuming gp appointment process

Getting an appointment with the GP has become extremely challenging. The health centre's process is incredibly frustrating. To secure any appointment, patients must call early in the morning, with no alternative options available. I've been dealing with a persistent skin condition for over a year and have delayed seeking medical attention due to these complicated post-pandemic procedures. When I finally called in the early morning, I was scheduled for a GP consultation call at 9 AM, three days later. On the appointment day, no call came until 9:30, when a staff member contacted me to confirm my availability. I was taken aback when they casually stated the GP call could happen anytime between 9 and 11, despite my work commitments. I remained at home waiting for the call. The consultation wasn't even a video call, so the GP couldn't directly examine my skin. Instead, I was instructed to take a photograph and email it to the health centre. This experience perfectly illustrates how a seemingly straightforward medical referral has become needlessly complex and inconvenient.

Worst medical practice ever after decades of loyalty

I've never encountered such a frustrating medical practice in all my years. I've been loyal to these doctors for over five decades, but the recent months have been absolutely appalling. Their phone system is a nightmare - you're stuck on hold for half an hour, assuming you don't get disconnected entirely. Repeat prescription requests are a complete disaster; either they don't arrive at all or you receive only partial medication. Despite multiple calls and even pharmacy emails, nothing gets resolved. After 55 years of patient loyalty, I'm seriously contemplating switching healthcare providers. The level of incompetence is infuriating! 😡😡😡

Completely revolting service - they never pick up the phone. You're stuck waiting around 20 minutes only to have the call abruptly disconnected. I have no clue what the receptionists are doing. I was scheduled for a doctor callback through the app, and guess what? No doctor ever called. I'm absolutely filing a formal complaint without a doubt.

I've made the choice to terminate my relationship with this medical practice, as they arbitrarily switch your assigned healthcare provider without consultation. The front desk employees are completely ineffective and discourteous. The administrative worker in the back office cannot even comprehend straightforward questions on a bus pass form, incorrectly claiming I completed the document incorrectly when my responses were actually accurate. I've overheard reception staff gossiping and disparaging patients immediately after ending phone conversations with them. They desperately require a comprehensive restructuring of their entire reception team - and clearly, multiple patients share this perspective. The standard response you receive from them is consistently dismissive. This practice was once reputable, but has now deteriorated into an utterly unacceptable service. I'm relieved to be departing from their care.

I'm completely frustrated with this medical practice's communication. No matter when I try calling, they never answer, and their phone seems perpetually off. I've submitted multiple online consultation requests with zero response. They keep sending letters about scheduling an asthma check for my child, but how can I book an appointment when it's impossible to reach anyone? I've been attempting to secure an appointment for my daughter for approximately five months with absolutely no success. I'm definitely filing an official complaint because this situation is unacceptable - and these communication problems existed even before the pandemic. I urgently need an appointment, and right now, I have zero chance of getting one.

I've repeatedly attempted to correct the registration of my name, but each time the staff becomes defensive, seemingly taking offense at being informed of their error. After multiple visits over eight months, my name remains incomplete, leaving me with no choice but to switch service centers. I'm Jesus Fernandez Garcia, and the ongoing issue is frustrating. Initially, they listed me as Jesus Garcia, then later as Jesus Fernandez. This is critically problematic because I need to travel, and COVID test documentation must exactly match my passport. If the names don't precisely align, the documents are invalidated. Despite having my passport photocopied five times, they still haven't managed to record my full name correctly. How challenging can it be to simply transcribe my name exactly as it appears on my official passport?
