Struggling to get through on the phone

The telephone line is consistently busy from early morning through to midday. Available appointment slots appear to be fully booked. The team members are reasonably accommodating once you manage to reach someone.

Reception staff were consistently rude and unhelpful

I had a very negative experience with this practice and would rate it as poorly as possible. Some of the reception staff came across as unfriendly and unhelpful. Getting an appointment proved quite difficult, and when I managed to secure one, I found the clinical staff were not as supportive as I would have hoped. I have since moved to another practice which has provided a much better standard of care, and I regret not making this change earlier. I would not suggest this surgery to others.

Couldn't book appointment during holiday cover

Attempted to schedule a consultation at the practice. Was informed that due to staff annual leave, only a temporary locum was available and no appointments could be booked in advance. Was advised to call each morning at opening time to check for availability.

The clinical and support staff, with the exception of one individual, demonstrate excellent standards of care, professionalism, and compassion. However, there are concerns regarding privacy practices, including the monitoring of social media activity and the recording of confidential consultations without explicit patient consent. These issues suggest a lack of transparency in how patient information is handled. Based on these experiences, alternative healthcare providers may be worth considering.

Appointment system changes left me stranded

I attended the practice to arrange an appointment. Despite there being minimal other patients present, I was informed that no appointments were available until several days later. I was not made aware in advance that the appointment booking system had been changed. I was concerned about being asked to travel a significant distance while managing a mobility issue and a respiratory infection. When I raised my concerns, I subsequently received correspondence regarding my conduct during the interaction. I felt that expressing frustration about the situation was not well received by the staff. During a follow-up visit, I became upset and made a scene at the reception desk, which I now regret. I understand that another patient also had a negative experience at this practice and felt their comments were misunderstood, leading them to seek care elsewhere. Overall, I found the practice unhelpful and felt that the standard of care did not meet my expectations. I believe the hospital that provided my treatment nearby offered a notably better service. I would recommend considering alternative options for your healthcare needs.
