Michelle's rude dismissal ruined my plans

I called the clinic this morning seeking to schedule an appointment to obtain a fit-to-travel certification and renew my prescription before my upcoming trip this weekend. The receptionist, Michelle, was extremely dismissive, abruptly stating that my request wasn't urgent, claiming they were fully booked, and then unexpectedly terminated our call without warning. My vacation has been planned for months, and I'm now left feeling utterly devastated and helpless.

Receptionists ruined my doctor's visit

The medical staff are excellent! However, the front desk personnel have become increasingly discourteous since the merger with other practices. They interrupt patients mid-sentence and attempt to hurry conversations to a close. There's absolutely no justification for being disrespectful when patients are being perfectly polite. I'm deeply disappointed by how some receptionists interact with patients. Any attempts to voice concerns are completely ignored, which is truly astonishing. Despite these issues, this remains an outstanding medical facility.

Unresponsive practice manager after months

I've been attempting to contact the practice manager since January, but she consistently remains too occupied to respond to my emails. Whenever you call, the receptionist merely repeats, "She's busy, she's the practice manager, and has numerous emails to address." They refuse to provide any specific timeline, simply stating she'll respond when she finds time. Attempts to reach her by phone are futile, as she's perpetually out of the office or unavailable. I've been waiting over two months for a response from the practice manager. Now I'm informed she's on vacation, requiring an additional week of waiting. I sincerely hope no one else experiences such frustration, and if you're trying to communicate with this practice manager, be prepared to invest several months of your time. I've never encountered such unprofessional service from other practice managers - how can there possibly be a 2-3 month delay in responding to a straightforward email!!!!

Surgery staff dropped the ball

Once a top-notch medical practice, I now find myself unable to endorse this surgery to anyone. For four months, I've been awaiting a confirmation letter for an insurance application, repeatedly following up via email and phone, yet nothing has materialized. While I acknowledge the challenges posed by the pandemic, the service quality has deteriorated far below an acceptable standard. I am committed to transferring to another surgery at the earliest possible moment. To be clear, the doctors were consistently professional; it is the administrative staff and reception team who have completely fallen short of expectations.

Receptionists made scheduling a nightmare

The physicians are pleasant, but the front desk personnel are either absent or incredibly discourteous and apathetic. Attempting to contact the office has become almost comical. You can remain on hold indefinitely, positioned first in line, yet no one responds. It seems they either deliberately disregard incoming calls or are simply not present. The whole scenario is extremely peculiar.

Wasted morning at unresponsive medical clinic

Avoid attempting to contact them by phone - I wasted 90 minutes waiting before making the trip from Portslade. Upon arrival, the reception area was completely unstaffed, and I lingered for another 25 minutes before anyone returned. The medical professionals are excellent, but as per usual, the front desk personnel are incredibly inefficient.

The medical staff, including physicians, are consistently supportive and attentive, but since becoming a patient here, the front desk personnel have consistently demonstrated a hostile, curt, and dismissive attitude. On one occasion when I was experiencing severe health issues, I attempted to contact their urgent care line, only to be harshly berated and told that the doctors couldn't accommodate me. This behavior is completely unacceptable, and it's truly unfortunate because their unprofessional approach has now made me hesitant to schedule necessary medical consultations in the future.

rushed doctor cut me short

I scheduled a consultation and was prepared to wait two weeks for a comprehensive appointment, which I found acceptable. However, during the actual conversation, the physician hurried through our discussion in approximately five minutes and consistently attempted to conclude the call prematurely, before I could fully express myself. I struggled to interject or elaborate on my concerns, and was unable to communicate even half of the points I had intended to discuss. Although the medical staff demonstrate clear expertise, I consistently encounter a sense of being hastily dismissed, rendering my deliberate choice of an extended appointment essentially pointless.

Nightmare wait at gp clinic today

Utterly appalling. Denied service at my scheduled 2 PM consultation without explanation and told to return at 4:40. After waiting 25 minutes, I'm still left unattended while the physician remains on a phone call. It's ridiculous. Total lack of respect for patients' time and personal commitments.
