Terrible service and zero patient care nightmare

I wish I could rate this medical practice with a negative star count! An absolute exercise in futility, I wasted nearly an hour waiting on hold, just to be informed that my prostate screening request wasn't considered significant enough to warrant a physician's return call. More than seven days have elapsed, and not a single communication from the medical staff. The front desk employee's level of unprofessionalism is so absurd that it's almost laughable how, despite numerous grievances, the Beauchamp practice has failed to address these ongoing problems. Unsurprisingly, I've since relocated my medical care to a different local surgery. It's crystal clear why patients are driven to seek private healthcare alternatives!

I initiated contact to schedule a medical consultation early in the morning. The automated system indicated I was eighth in line and suggested pressing a key for a callback when my turn arrived. Despite waiting until mid-afternoon, no return call materialized. Upon re-attempting communication, I was assured a physician would reach out to arrange an appointment. Now, approaching evening, I remain without any contact from the practice. It appears my only recourse will be to physically visit the surgery, as their telephone communication is evidently unreliable and ineffective.

Frustrating healthcare experience with poor communication

My interaction with this healthcare provider was frustratingly disorganized and poorly managed. A physician initially confirmed a 3pm appointment time, but upon arrival, I was informed the actual slot was an hour later. Given that I was already feeling extremely unwell, this unexpected delay forced me to return home and wait even more. The lack of consideration would have been more tolerable if I wasn't in such a poor state of health, and what made it worse was the complete absence of any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The sole bright spot in this entire experience was the compassionate staff member in the prescription department, who has consistently been supportive and helpful during my visits.

The entire staff appears competent, with the exception of Hailey from administration, who comes across as deeply problematic. Her communication style is consistently discourteous, and she seems to believe she possesses medical expertise that allows her to assess patient needs solely through phone conversations. She effectively acts as a gatekeeper for the general practitioner, aggressively attempting to dismiss patients without proper in-person evaluation. Her approach is thoroughly unprofessional, and it's genuinely baffling that she continues to be employed in this role.

If your phone plan doesn't cover landline calls, you'll quickly realize how expensive it is to be a patient at this facility. They've implemented a new phone system that displays your queue position, which initially seemed promising. I watched optimistically as I progressed from fourth to first in line. But then, infuriatingly, I remained stuck at the number one spot for what felt like an interminable duration, ultimately draining my entire phone battery!

Poor service and rude receptionists at medical practice

At first, we suspected discriminatory treatment due to our non-British accent, but after reading other reviews, it's clear this is simply a matter of poor education or lack thereof. The women at reception consistently treat us terribly, displaying complete indifference to patients who are clearly calling with genuine concerns. Their attitude is consistently unhelpful and dismissive. There is one exceptional young staff member in a wheelchair who stands out as incredibly kind and supportive. He is genuinely a wonderful human being and a credit to the organization. I've attempted to address the issue by contacting the practice manager, who promised an internal investigation into the receptionist's behavior, but nothing has changed. Booking an appointment is practically impossible, and when requested to schedule at the Springfield Hub, they flatly refuse. They never identify themselves, always speaking in a condescending manner. I sincerely hope they one day find themselves in a situation where they receive the same level of callous treatment they currently dish out.

After relocating from Surrey to Essex two years ago, I've only had the misfortune of dealing with this abysmal medical practice recently. The receptionist, Helen, is hands-down the most discourteous, callous, and unprofessional staff member I've ever encountered. The doctors prescribed an insufficient antibiotic treatment that predictably caused my condition to recur. I was experiencing excruciating pain, but Helen had already arbitrarily decided I didn't require any medical attention, despite the potentially life-threatening nature of my recurring issue. She point-blank refused to provide information about when my prescription would be available at the pharmacy. This mirrors a previous incident where I was told to collect an urgent prescription after 3pm, but upon arriving (after painfully stopping multiple times en route), I discovered no prescription was ready. I was forced to call the surgery from the town center, weeping in agony, only to learn the doctor hadn't yet approved the script. Today, it took nearly 8 hours for the surgery to process an urgent prescription, during which I suffered intense pain - yet Helen had the audacity to imply I was interrupting her lunch by repeatedly contacting her. Never in my life have I been treated with such utter disrespect, and I will absolutely be filing a formal complaint about this woman. If possible, I would rate this surgery zero stars.

Quite let down by their communication. I dispatched two emails to a single contact point, only to discover from a prior response that they typically scan their inbox but take up to 5 days to reply. This is particularly concerning when discussing health matters, which can potentially trigger anxiety for some individuals. I subsequently sent a message to an alternate email address regarding medication, yet still received no acknowledgment. Fingers crossed I survive this waiting game! (Though I'm actually in excellent health) Six days have now elapsed. Generally, I consider their service to be fairly reliable

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

I've been a loyal patient at this practice for two decades, and they are absolutely incompetent, bordering on completely dysfunctional. For weeks now, I've been attempting to schedule an appointment, and each time I finally get through to someone, I'm repeatedly told that all slots are filled for the day and I should call back tomorrow. Despite my repeated explanations and persistence, they remain utterly indifferent to my situation. Worst medical reception ever, completely unprofessional

The reception staff delivered an appallingly unprofessional and callous experience, both during our telephone interaction and in-person encounter when I attempted to register as a new patient. Throughout my entire time in the United Kingdom, I have never encountered such disrespectful treatment as what this particular employee demonstrated today. I approached the registration process to address a critical health concern—specifically, a breast lump I discovered—which I communicated as an urgent matter. Despite the seriousness of my situation, she couldn't be bothered to make eye contact, dismissively responding with "oh well you are not registered yet so..." Her appearance—long dark hair and glasses—does nothing to mitigate her complete lack of compassion. Such an individual is fundamentally unsuited for a role involving patient care, and her behavior is nothing short of shameful.

Getting an emergency appointment requires endless phone calls, with a receptionist acting as gatekeeper to your health concerns. After 3pm, obtaining test results becomes a Herculean task, often met with dismissive attitudes. The system for uploading results moves at a glacial pace. A private hospital sent documents on Monday, yet by Thursday, conflicting information from reception left me in limbo, finally confirming the documents' presence. Since January, I've sought specialist referrals, only to be repeatedly dismissed. They attribute everything to anxiety or minor infections, suggesting I might never discover the root cause. Forced to pursue private specialists and self-fund scans, I'm still entangled in their bureaucratic web, requiring GP review of results they're reluctant to thoroughly examine. Multiple times, the surgery closes for staff training—sometimes half a day—during an already challenging period to access healthcare. Their availability is laughable: closed Monday to Friday, bank holidays, for office work. After three months, I've received minimal care, seeing only an advance nurse practitioner once, not a single actual doctor. My experience reflects a systemic failure. They seemingly write off younger patients, assuming nothing serious could be wrong. Their casual dismissal of potential serious conditions—claiming blood tests rule out cancer—is dangerously naive. This approach threatens lives through negligence and indifference. The deteriorating mental health of patients is unsurprising given such treatment. I feel completely abandoned, my health concerns minimized and ignored. This practice urgently needs reformation before more lives are needlessly compromised.
