Incompetent staff make healthcare experience truly miserable

What an incredibly frustrating experience with this medical office's staff. The receptionist was completely unhelpful and seemed totally disconnected from basic patient care. When I inquired about getting an appointment, they bizarrely informed me that they only have a telephone consultation scheduled a week from now - not an actual in-person visit. I'm stunned that this appears to be the only medical practice that refuses to see patients directly, which is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

Constantly redirected to a locum nurse who dismisses my concerns, simply recommending I consume more pain medication and wait. Zero thorough medical investigation was conducted. Their diagnosis seemed superficial and unprofessional, with a defensive response when I questioned their approach. I've been attempting to schedule an appointment for more than two months, only to be informed that telephone consultations are exclusively handled by external staff. This feels less like genuine healthcare and more like a bureaucratic formality designed to meet minimum requirements.

I'm wondering about the actual phone line opening time - is it 8:00 or 8:30 as stated on the website? When I attempted to schedule an appointment, I had to make an exhausting 200 callback attempts before finally getting into the queue and securing a slot. It seems like before 8:30, the lines might not be fully operational - though instead of indicating they're closed, the system just shows a user busy signal (which differs from the pre-8am message that explicitly states the office is closed). The call system could definitely benefit from expanding its queue capacity.

Incredible surgery that truly cares for patients

We recently relocated and had to change medical practices. I'm truly devastated because our new surgery is absolutely terrible. Beauchamp house was instrumental in helping me manage my medications when the new doctors were unhelpful. Throughout the 7 years we were registered, Beauchamp house consistently delivered excellent service, despite occasional challenges with booking appointments. Their overall operation is remarkably superior in comparison. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and the doctors were comprehensive and exceptionally compassionate. Sometimes change isn't for the better. Beauchamp house consistently addressed our healthcare requirements, while our new surgery is completely inadequate! I deeply wish we could return to them 😔

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff

This surgical center is an absolute nightmare. The personnel are completely unhelpful and unaccommodating. They never offer emergency slots, and scheduling a doctor's appointment requires a minimum six-week wait. It's a complete drain on public resources. If there were a rating lower than the lowest possible score, I would absolutely choose it. The incompetence is so extreme that I'm now forced to go to the hospital just to obtain my asthma inhaler. My strongest recommendation is to steer clear of this place entirely.

I'm not embellishing when I say I had to dial their number 46 times just to secure a same-day appointment, and each time they provided me with incorrect scheduling information. The medical professionals are actually quite good, but there's this one front desk staff member who displays an incredibly discourteous attitude towards me and another patient.

Terrible service at bauchamp house surgery

I recently attempted to register with a GP at Bauchamp, and the experience was far from pleasant. The receptionists were incredibly discourteous and unhelpful from the start. Despite their website clearly stating that a driving licence and utility bill would suffice for registration, they unexpectedly demanded I bring my passport as well and refused to accept an electronic bill. Consequently, I had to return home, retrieve my passport, and locate a hard copy bill. After completing the forms, I politely asked the receptionist to verify my documentation. She hastily skimmed through the papers, gave a quick nod of approval, and sent me on my way. However, moments after arriving home, I received a voicemail from a private number claiming I had omitted crucial information and that my registration would not be processed without it. When I tried calling the number provided on their website, no one answered. My advice: carefully consider whether you want to register with Beauchamp House Surgery.
