Feedback reveals a deeply divided experience at this practice, with significant challenges in appointment access and reception experience contrasting sharply with positive feedback about clinical care. The most consistent concern across reviews is the difficulty securing appointments, with patients reporting waits of several weeks to months, compounded by phone line accessibility issues and reception staff who are frequently described as unhelpful, dismissive, or discourteous. Many patients report that receptionists attempt to gatekeep access to clinicians or redirect concerns without proper assessment. Communication barriers extend beyond appointment booking, with slow response times to queries and limited follow-up on test results creating frustration.
Where clinical care is accessed, feedback is notably more positive, with doctors and nursing staff frequently praised for professionalism, competence, and compassion. Several patients specifically commended individual practitioners and the quality of surgical and nursing procedures. The practice environment is generally described as clean and well-maintained. However, this positive clinical experience is substantially undermined by the access and reception difficulties that prevent many patients from reaching care in the first place.
The inconsistency between clinical quality and service accessibility represents the core issue. Patients express frustration that excellent doctors are difficult to reach, and reception processes appear to create unnecessary barriers rather than facilitate patient access. Some newer patients report smoother experiences, while long-term patients describe a decline in service quality over recent years. This pattern suggests systemic challenges in appointment scheduling, reception training, and communication protocols that require attention to align the practice's clinical strengths with its service delivery.

Incompetent care puts patients at serious risk
Absolutely appalling how incompetent the staff appears to be. My partner and I are deeply concerned about the level of care, and this experience has made me truly appreciate the professionalism of my regular physicians in comparison. The lack of competence here is frightening, especially considering they are responsible for patient well-being.

Waiting room woes at this frustrating clinic
You're allowed a mere 5-minute grace period, but no matter when you arrive, they'll keep you waiting due to their overbooked schedule for as long as they see fit.

Frustrating healthcare experience with comical twist
What a complete mess of a healthcare system! Waited an absurd two weeks just to have a phone consultation, then another three weeks to actually see a doctor, and then they have the nerve to send me a text asking me to schedule an appointment. It's laughable how inefficient this process is.

Long Wait Times and Disorganized Appointment System
I scheduled my appointment using the myGP app at 09:10 and also verified it with the receptionist upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to wait for 43 minutes before being attended to, and what made matters worse was that other patients who arrived after me were seen first. When I brought this issue to the attention of the receptionist, she inquired if I had confirmed my appointment despite having done so earlier. The level of service is quite poor, compounded by the fact that there seems to be only one general practitioner available, which prolongs the booking process for appointments. Consequently, I intend to file a formal complaint with NHS regarding this experience as it reflects a lack of professionalism.

Reliable Surgery with Excellent Staff and Cleanliness
For several years, I have relied on this surgical facility, and I have encountered no issues whatsoever. The reception team is consistently courteous and supportive, as are the doctors and nursing staff. Additionally, the surgery always maintains a neat and tidy appearance.

Terrible service ruins potential medical care experience
Complete disaster!! I'd rate them zero stars if possible. The front desk personnel clearly think they're medical professionals and behave with an arrogant attitude. I'm switching healthcare providers because of their terrible behavior, which is unfortunate since some of the actual doctors are decent.

Healthcare Gatekeepers Delay Critical Patient Care
It's frustrating how unapproachable the receptionists are when you call in. Initially, you're unable to reach a doctor or nurse until they've assessed your situation themselves. Additionally, if you want to request a prescription, it requires navigating online platforms. However, once you log in, you quickly realize that you're stuck because you lack the necessary username and password. At this rate, it seems like I might be heading towards a diabetic crisis soon. Recently, securing an appointment with a physician has become increasingly difficult; the wait time is now around four weeks. If you try to use the automated system for assistance—wow—it’s just as ineffective as talking to the receptionist directly! It's no surprise that many individuals are experiencing worsening health issues because by the time they manage to get past these obstacles and obtain an appointment, it's often too late for effective treatment.

Avoid This Practice: Deteriorating Care Nightmare
This experience has proven to be the most disappointing medical practice I have encountered. As a patient for five years, I've noticed a steady decline in the quality of care each year. The receptionists exhibit rudeness and act as if they possess medical expertise based on their inquiries. Securing an appointment that isn’t three weeks out feels nearly impossible; the only competent doctor I met was just filling in temporarily. Additionally, the waiting area resembles an audition space for a sensational reality show. Even though one star seems excessive, it is merely the lowest rating allowed. I strongly recommend steering clear of this place.

Early Arrival, Late Service: Ultrasound Appointment Confusion
I received a call asking if I could come in sooner for an ultrasound scan. When I got there approximately 25 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, I noticed three other clients arriving after me and being attended to before my turn. Ultimately, I was seen five minutes past the time of my appointment, which was acceptable; however, it raises the question of why they requested me to arrive early in the first place. Overall, it appears to be a decent facility.
