Friendly staff make healthcare experience truly exceptional

26th January. Once more, the receptionist was incredibly supportive in arranging my prescription review. Consistently very accommodating. 21st October. Exceptional experience for vaccinations today. Quick and efficient process. Receptionists and nurses were extremely helpful. Much appreciation. The telephone receptionist was remarkably supportive, managing my repeat prescription without requiring my physical presence. Outstanding service and gratitude. 14th April. Again, I called with an issue, and the phone representative was tremendously helpful. The surgery's receptionists consistently go above and beyond to assist. Consulted Dr Haris this morning, who was thoroughly attentive and took considerable time to address my concerns. 9th May, called for blood test results, and the receptionist was wonderfully cooperative in providing the information. Top-tier service once more. Thank you.

Absolute time drain!! Attempting to call the medical practice is futile since their phone seems perpetually off the hook. I can confirm this without a doubt, as during my extended wait in their incredibly lengthy queue, my calls never even connected. Moreover, throughout my 45-minute stay, the phone remained silent, not ringing a single time. My sole purpose was to retrieve my partner's repeat prescription, only to discover that two critical medications prescribed by a hospital specialist were mysteriously absent from the list.

Terrible healthcare service that fails patients completely

If zero-star ratings were possible, I'd select it without hesitation. I'm currently preparing a formal complaint to the Ombudsman about this practice. While I typically have great respect for the NHS, this particular clinic is an absolute disaster. Their service is characterized by impossibly lengthy phone wait times, followed by interactions with discourteous staff members who are either completely incompetent or deliberately unhelpful. They consistently obstruct patient care by declining to schedule appointments or even renew prescription medications that have already been authorized by a hospital.

Frustrating medical experience with poor communication

I've been struggling with this medical practice for 5 months now. Attempting to schedule an appointment, I spent 2 months following up only to be told I had already missed a previously scheduled visit. No notifications or communication were sent. Subsequently, I booked another appointment on a specific date and was rescheduled just a day prior. I adjusted my work schedule to accommodate this, and fortunately, the doctor was excellent. When I tried to book another appointment regarding my initial "missed" consultation, I was again scheduled for a date, only to receive a morning message shifting the appointment. As a full-time worker, I can't simply drop everything at a moment's notice. I had a courteous conversation with the receptionist, who assured me a manager would contact me about the first appointment's discrepancy. No follow-up occurred. Weeks later, I randomly received a message booking me for another date. The complete lack of communication is frustrating. While I recognize medical professionals can face challenges, their absolute disregard for patient scheduling and accountability is unacceptable.

Misleading website and rude staff destroyed my day

I attempted to schedule an urgent appointment at 11:38, but was flatly refused and instructed to call prior to 11 am. Yet, the clinic's website clearly indicates appointment booking hours are from 8:30 to 12. While I understand the clinic is overwhelmed and working diligently, it seems unreasonable to reject urgent care due to their own communication inconsistencies. Where are patients expected to obtain accurate information if not from the official website? Moreover, not only was I denied an urgent appointment, but the receptionist also engaged in gaslighting, insisting I was referencing the incorrect website—despite it being the same site from which I obtained their contact information, which was directly in front of me. When I affirmed with absolute certainty that it was their official website, she dismissively claimed the website was incorrect and suggested I call back the following day. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional conduct.

I'm completely baffled by this situation. When I initially reached out to schedule a standard appointment on March 14th, I was informed I'd be placed on a waiting list. Two months later, upon following up, I was again told I remained on the waiting list. Here we are in June, and I still haven't been given an actual appointment. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Getting a GP appointment at this surgery is an incredibly frustrating experience. Their entire system seems engineered to discourage patients from seeing a doctor. Booking slots are extremely restricted, and attempting to schedule an appointment often means enduring marathon phone waits of up to an hour, only to be abruptly disconnected just when you think you're close to success. This typically forces you to restart the entire process the following day because you've exceeded that day's communication window. While the staff appear to be working diligently, they're ultimately constrained by the surgery's rigid and inflexible administrative protocols, which severely limit their ability to provide genuinely helpful patient support.

Incredibly thankful to Dr W Jones and the receptionist, I think her name was Abbi, who was working the late shift on Friday, August 13th. She was exceptionally friendly and easy to talk to. Dr Jones went above and beyond by staying late to help resolve my mother's medication issue after she realized it hadn't been ordered and it was already 6 pm. I want to express my sincere gratitude to both of these wonderful healthcare professionals.

The majority of general practitioners are pleasant during consultations, but the front desk personnel can often come across as discourteous, unhelpful, and critical. While not everyone is like this, and I've encountered some friendly staff, I always feel anxious about making a phone call. Getting through on the telephone is incredibly challenging: you have to repeatedly dial numerous times and then endure lengthy hold periods exceeding an hour!
