My story is a sad one with no happy ending however I cannot recommend Dr Chandraska enough , my husband passed away with MND and the support and care both Dr Chandraska and his staff have provided has been outstanding, Dr Chandraska supported both myself and my husband not just as a Dr but beyond, the staff cared really cared for us as a family and still do . Thankyou is really not enough

Practice has become less attentive to patient needs

We have been registered with this practice for several years, but we have noticed a significant decline in standards following recent management changes. The practice operates with a limited clinical team and does not currently offer female clinician appointments. While some staff members have been helpful and professional, others have come across as dismissive and unhelpful. We found the pharmacy consultation process particularly frustrating, as medication decisions appeared to be made with minimal understanding of individual patient circumstances, often based on brief telephone conversations or no direct discussion at all. Although we were reluctant to move, we experienced several preventable issues with our prescriptions and care that could have been avoided. We believe the practice would benefit from taking a more engaged and thorough approach to patient management going forward.

Smaller practice where reception staff really know you

I relocated from another local practice in the previous year because I prefer smaller surgeries where the team members might develop some familiarity with patients. The reception staff have been exceptionally welcoming and approachable, and the clinical assistants and nursing team display the same level of friendliness. I have attended appointments with all three of the practice doctors and have found nothing to criticise about the service provided. There was also a trainee doctor present during one of my visits who demonstrated considerable thoroughness in their approach. Although there was previously a slight delay in securing appointments, the practice has since moved to a same-day calling system which has improved accessibility.

Reception staff put me at ease

The staff were excellent during my recent visit. The receptionist and the nurse, who typically works at another location, were both very kind and helpful. I was feeling anxious, and they made me feel at ease with their compassionate approach.

Prescription delays and dismissive responses to concerns

I found this surgery to be deeply disappointing. Initially, there were considerable difficulties in arranging a prescription, which caused significant concern as the medication was essential for my partner's health and wellbeing. Following this incident, we received correspondence from the surgery indicating they would not accept this type of behaviour and issued a warning. However, it appears there is tolerance for multiple errors on their part regarding prescription management. When attempting to book an appointment, I was unable to secure one. I would strongly recommend that the practice consider professional development training for their staff in customer service and communication. Overall, this has been the most unsatisfactory healthcare experience I have encountered, and I would advise others to look elsewhere for their medical care.

Terrible doctor with no compassion or professionalism

Dr Chandrasekar demonstrates consistently poor interpersonal skills, showing contempt towards both patients and medical staff. His temperament is hostile and unprofessional, creating an uncomfortable environment. His bedside manner is so abysmal that I will absolutely not return to him as my healthcare provider.

Should my experience change, I'll certainly update my assessment, but at present, I have no significant criticisms of this medical practice.

Greedy doctor fails patients with terrible service

A truly abysmal medical practice in Blackpool, run by an incredibly avaricious physician. They're actively recruiting new NHS patients despite already having a three-week waiting period for appointments. Try telling me this isn't purely motivated by financial gain. Moreover, I've never once been seen at my scheduled appointment time. The doctor only works three days per week at this clinic. My advice: steer well clear of this unprofessional charlatan.

He shows absolute disregard for any input from the patient and maintains a condescending, dismissive attitude. His demeanor is aggressively unpleasant and self-important, which is precisely the opposite of what someone needs when they are vulnerable and seeking medical help.
