Incompetent medical centre destroys patient's healthcare hopes
Belmont Medical Centre has systematically undermined and hindered my medical care at every turn. They have repeatedly failed to process prescription requests and consistently backtrack on their commitments and guarantees. During the Christmas period, they have left me completely without medication by only forwarding my prescription to the pharmacy on the very morning of my departure, despite my request being made two weeks in advance. They represent an abysmal and utterly irresponsible healthcare provider, and I deeply regret that no alternative medical practice exists within my local area for me to transfer my registration to.

Terrible service and endless waiting at clinic
I'm deeply disappointed to share this experience. The receptionist instructed me to wait, and I ended up sitting there for over two hours, only to be told to return the next day. Meanwhile, my wife was feeling exhausted and unwell. We were simply seeking a prescription for antibiotics, and we wasted an entire day without any resolution or assistance.

Compassionate care at bmc medical practice
After relocating and registering with BMC last year, I can confidently say this is a welcoming and competent medical practice. The reception staff consistently demonstrate politeness and professionalism during phone interactions. We understand that waiting times to see a GP are inevitable, and we don't blame the receptionists for this. In my experience, treating the staff with respect and courtesy always results in a similar positive response. I've personally never been more than second in the phone queue, which is quite efficient. Their vaccination clinics were particularly impressive - well-organized and remarkably swift. In today's often challenging environment, such kindness and smooth operations are truly appreciated.

I concur with many of the critical observations - securing a medical appointment is challenging, and one of the front desk staff consistently displays an unwelcoming and unfriendly demeanor. Having worked as a receptionist myself, I understand the job's difficulties, but I would never exhibit such rudeness. Nevertheless, I want to commend the exceptional nurse practitioner I consulted on September 22nd. I was suffering from prolonged sinusitis that had persisted for weeks and awoke that morning experiencing significant respiratory distress. She promptly returned my call, demonstrating genuine concern and empathy, and crucially, she truly listened to my concerns. When I explained that a brief course of oral steroids alongside antibiotics had historically been highly effective for me during severe infections, she indicated she would consult a physician and advised me to collect antibiotics later that day. I was uncertain whether steroids would be included in the prescription, but fortunately, they were. Within just 24 hours, I experienced substantial improvement, and within a week, I had fully recovered. Sincere gratitude to her for acknowledging my medical insights, understanding my treatment history, and effectively communicating my needs to the doctor.

Rude receptionist ruins patient's healthcare experience
I was prepared to award this medical practice top marks for their physicians, but my experience with the receptionist Becky was absolutely appalling. When I called to inquire about my flu vaccination, given my extremely vulnerable status, I was dismissively told I'd receive it anytime between now and Christmas. Despite having Emphysema, I was informed that because I'm under 65, I must wait for a letter. Subsequently, I received another call stating they lack vaccines for those under 65, and was rudely advised to register elsewhere or take up the vaccine shortage with the government. The receptionist seemed bewildered why other clinics and even Tesco have vaccines available. I pointedly suggested they should have ordered vaccines earlier, especially considering they encountered similar supply issues last year. Her unprofessional and unhelpful attitude has left me with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Care Quality Commission.

This medical practice is truly top-notch, and I've been their patient intermittently since 1990! I was disappointed to notice the low Google rating for this surgery, but after carefully examining the comments, it's clear the poor score is unfairly influenced by individuals who are either not registered patients or lack understanding of NHS operations! There are numerous unregistered people attempting to access services without comprehending the challenging work the staff consistently execute well. As is standard within the NHS, they are extremely overloaded. Whenever I've genuinely needed to consult a physician, I've successfully spoken with one. Doctors Harris and Andy Jones are two of the most professional, meticulous, committed, and genuinely warm-hearted professionals you could ever encounter.
