Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience across the practice, with notable variation in service quality. Reception experience emerges as a significant area of concern, with multiple reports of discourteous and dismissive behaviour, alongside contrasting accounts of friendly and accommodating staff. Appointment availability and booking experience present ongoing challenges, with patients reporting extended waiting times, difficulty securing consultations, and limited appointment slots, though some describe efficient scheduling and responsive service during emergencies. Communication and consultation quality divide opinion substantially; several patients describe rushed, inadequate examinations and poor listening, while others report thorough, compassionate care with doctors who take time to address concerns.

Care experience and professional conduct vary considerably across the practice. Positive feedback highlights responsive nursing teams, supportive administrative staff, and doctors who demonstrate genuine attentiveness and empathy. Conversely, negative accounts describe dismissive consultations, inadequate diagnostic investigation, and instances where patients felt their concerns were minimized or disregarded. Follow-up responsiveness and continuity of care are inconsistently reported, with some patients experiencing unresponsive services and others receiving prompt, coordinated support. The practice appears to perform better during urgent situations, with several patients noting accessible emergency care, though routine appointment access remains a persistent frustration for many.

Exceptional care when you need it most

I've relied on this GP practice multiple times in recent years for same-day urgent appointments, and they've consistently delivered exceptional service. Both the doctors and reception team have been remarkably professional and helpful, particularly considering the immense challenges they've been experiencing lately. I'm truly impressed and deeply appreciative of their dedication.

Terrible medical care after 30 years of loyalty

The treatment at this medical practice is absolutely appalling! Despite being a long-standing patient for over three decades, I've been callously dismissed multiple times when unwell. I recently moved just a short distance away, barely 100 yards, yet I'm now told I'm outside their catchment area. Even with my blood test revealing serious abnormalities and Dr. Cathy Donner requesting an urgent follow-up test, the receptionist informed me I'm no longer in their system and must find a new surgery. It's an utter disgrace! The doctors are unprofessional and ineffective - Dr. Garsin is particularly terrible and extremely rude. I strongly advise against registering with him. The only saving grace is Dr. Donner, who actually listens to patients. On a scale of 10, I would rate this practice a mere 1.

Worst medical experience ever terrible doctors avoid

Steer clear of Dr. Garsin (or Garcia) and Dr. Maddock at all costs. These physicians are dismissive and unhelpful, treating patients with contempt. You'll be fortunate to receive even a minute of their worthless guidance. In stark contrast to other compassionate doctors who make house calls and provide referrals when needed, these two are a complete disappointment.

Terrible service saved by private doctor's care

I've been battling sinusitis and hearing issues for over a month, and initially, the GP was reluctant to see me. They prescribed a nasal spray without an in-person consultation, and after a week of no improvement, I finally got an appointment with Dr Sritharan. She examined my ears, declared there was some wax but nothing serious, and suggested using olive oil. Seeking a second opinion, I consulted a private doctor who diagnosed an ear infection, prescribed antibiotics and a steroid spray. Within just three days, I noticed significant improvement and my hearing returned. In my view, this GP practice was a complete waste of time; they act as if seeing patients is a favor, constantly using Covid as an excuse. Here's a message for doctors: your job is to help people, so just put on a mask and do your work. It's absolutely outrageous that patients can only get telephone appointments and must practically beg for face-to-face consultations. And heaven help you if you cough or sneeze - they'll immediately label it as Covid, as if no other illnesses exist anymore...

Compassionate doctors make medical centre exceptional

I'm genuinely pleased with this medical facility. The front desk staff are attentive and compassionate. Dr. Garsin and Dr. Sharma are incredibly warm and understanding, and they provide a comfortable, unhurried environment where they truly listen to your concerns. While scheduling an appointment might require some waiting, they are remarkably accessible during emergencies, typically able to consult with you within 3-4 hours if something urgent arises.

Solid service with minor scheduling inconvenience

No issues to report so far. The sole drawback is the lengthy process of securing an in-person consultation, which requires an initial phone screening. However, this seems to be standard practice across the board in the current post-pandemic landscape.

Terrible experience with disrespectful staff and uncaring doctor

Terrible customer experience. Whenever I visit, I feel scrutinized and uncomfortable. The front desk staff consistently demonstrate unprofessional behavior, interrogating patients with intrusive queries before even considering scheduling an appointment. Yesterday, they reluctantly saw my son, and Dr. Garsin was shockingly disrespectful towards both of us. As I attempted to provide context about my son's situation, he abruptly cut me off, declaring he already knew everything and that I needn't elaborate. I remain utterly stunned that such an uncaring individual continues to practice medicine. His complete lack of empathy and patient communication is appalling.

Terrible scheduling and communication nightmare

I recognize that COVID-19 protocols have limited in-person consultations, but I'm utterly perplexed why they can't arrange telephone consultations with the same precision as they would for face-to-face meetings. Today's experience was the absolute breaking point. After receiving two contradictory appointment times, the reception staff then confirmed the incorrect time. Having already rearranged our entire schedule to fit this mistaken slot, the resulting disruption has been significant and impacted our whole family, forcing us to reschedule multiple commitments or face an additional five-day waiting period for an appointment. We intend to file a formal complaint and strongly advise patients to consider finding an alternative medical practice if possible.

Terrible reception blocking covid vaccine for american

Would give 0, no reflection on doctors, only reception. UPDATE: After consulting NHS England, a case is now being investigated. The practice was completely wrong to deny him both entry and vaccination, and they were even more culpable for rejecting him due to lack of NHS number, which is explicitly not a requirement. There are specific guidelines for recording such patients, and the receptionist claiming the NHS guidance was incorrect was a deliberate attempt to avoid additional work. This investigation is ongoing. My partner visiting from America attempted to book a vaccine according to NHS England guidance, with no NHS number being necessary. This is clearly stated on their website, and if patient care is denied on this basis, there are reporting channels, which we are pursuing. The receptionists were extremely rude and dismissive towards him, insisting the guidance was wrong. They didn't even permit him to enter the practice. As I live next door and work on an NHS site as a UK citizen, I came to assist, and they allowed me in. After repeating their dismissive behavior to me and my partner, they then escorted him outside while he was upset and declared he cannot receive a vaccine. I have never encountered such unprofessional and unhelpful staff. We are actively exploring report lines for this practice as this violates government regulations. After reading these reviews, I realize I am not alone in experiencing this treatment and would encourage others to take similar action. I am proud of the NHS and the doctors who support us, but the receptionists are a disgrace to the industry. Vaccination is crucial in combating this pandemic, and they are actively denying patient care. He has been prevented from registering, though registration is not required.

Amazing doctor and friendly medical team

Dr Garsin provided exceptional care for my young child today, demonstrating both warmth and expertise. The general practice offers outstanding service, with immediate appointment availability. I've consistently found scheduling consultations for my children to be seamless. The reception staff have invariably been courteous and supportive. I wholeheartedly endorse Belmont Medical Centre to anyone seeking quality healthcare.

Mostly great gp with occasional receptionist hiccups

As a healthcare professional (nurse), I consider this a highly commendable general practice overall. While it doesn't quite merit a perfect 5-star rating due to occasional receptionist rudeness and minor GP-related issues, these are relatively insignificant. If unsatisfied with one doctor, simply book with another. The phone system is efficient (unlike Ealing's abysmal 20-minute wait times), appointment availability is prompt, and phone consultations are a welcome time-saving alternative to in-person visits. The medical team successfully addresses health concerns in approximately 90% of cases, handling matters professionally and promptly, with referrals consistently processed as discussed. Barring two specific incidents - a female doctor's inappropriate coil insertion technique and a male doctor's misdiagnosis of oral thrush as "residual milk" - my experiences have been predominantly positive. The practitioners generally demonstrate attentiveness and provide necessary care. Dr. Donner particularly stands out as an exceptional physician. Her empathetic approach, reliability, and commitment to patient care have been consistently impressive throughout my years of treatment. Her departure from my care will be genuinely regrettable. Those leaving negative reviews should first compare this practice to the truly subpar medical services in Ealing and Brent. This surgery is unquestionably far superior to a 1-star rating would suggest.

Terrible healthcare service with zero patient compassion

An utterly dreadful encounter from the moment I became a patient at this GP practice. Not only do they demonstrate a complete disregard for patient needs and concerns, but they also burden their receptionists with medical information that is not their responsibility. The lack of compassion in this practice is appalling. Getting through to them is an exercise in frustration, and their website offers no relief. They constantly redirect patients to an e-consult form, and if you don't mark it as an emergency, they unceremoniously shunt you to the 111 service, which is absurd. I remain astounded by the abysmal level of care, especially when you consider their salary declaration form reveals surprisingly high compensation that stands in stark contrast to the dismally low quality of service they provide.

Frustrating healthcare with zero communication or support

I've been attempting to secure a telephone consultation for my son for 48 hours (regarding a condition he's already been treated for in the emergency department and another specialized medical facility), and I'm continuously being assured the general practitioner will contact me, yet no call ever materializes. The service is absolutely abysmal, and I'm resolute about transferring to a different medical practice immediately. Additionally, my personal health issues have been dismissed and not given appropriate attention on multiple recent occasions.

Unhelpful staff dismissed my serious health concerns

The front desk staff seem to believe they possess medical expertise. When I called earlier today seeking an urgent consultation for my Tonsilitis and potential antibiotic treatment, the receptionist completely disregarded my symptoms. Despite my tonsils being massively swollen, comparable to golf balls, and clearly displaying yellow pus and infection spots, they casually dismissed my condition as merely a simple sore throat. It's no surprise the National Health Service is in such dire straits when general practitioners appear more concerned with their personal income than providing genuine patient care!
