Reception staff's dismissive attitude made things worse

I have been experiencing significant difficulties with my mental health, and today matters reached a critical point. Throughout my interaction with the practice, I felt passed between different members of the reception team without receiving adequate support. The attitudes I encountered were unhelpful, and during a phone conversation with one team member, I became aware that other staff members were discussing me in the background. This was deeply upsetting. As a result of this experience, I have decided not to continue attending this surgery and will be seeking care elsewhere. I would urge the practice management to consider reviewing staff training, particularly in relation to handling enquiries about mental health matters and general patient care. The reception team would benefit from guidance on providing compassionate and professional service to vulnerable patients. I felt that this should have been a supportive environment, yet instead I experienced humiliation and disappointment. I hope that no other patient has to endure a similar situation.

Long wait with no updates from reception

Attended an appointment scheduled for late morning and arrived ahead of time, but found myself waiting considerably longer than expected. After waiting approximately half an hour, I enquired with reception about the likely wait time and was told someone would check with the clinical team. Despite this, I remained waiting for a further ten minutes without any update. I eventually decided to leave, particularly as I had noticed another patient departing shortly before. Overall, I felt a significant amount of my time was wasted during this visit.
