Patient Experience Summary

Appointment availability emerges as the most significant concern across feedback, with patients reporting extended delays ranging from days to months in securing consultations. Reception experience is frequently cited as problematic, characterised by discourteous interactions, dismissive behaviour, and poor communication. Several patients describe feeling unheard during booking attempts and receiving inadequate support when raising health concerns. Long waiting times for test results and delayed communication about investigation outcomes have also eroded confidence in the practice's responsiveness.

Privacy concerns have been raised regarding sensitive discussions conducted in open waiting areas, and some patients report that reception staff inquiries about personal information lack appropriate confidentiality safeguards. Communication failures appear systemic, with instances of results being available but not communicated, and patients needing to follow up proactively on their own investigations.

Positive feedback acknowledges professional phlebotomy services, punctual appointment starts when secured, and courteous interactions from nursing staff and some reception personnel. One patient noted that despite appointment availability challenges, care quality and staff dedication remain commendable. However, these positive aspects are substantially outweighed by widespread dissatisfaction with access to services and the reception experience, which collectively undermine patient confidence in the practice.

Rude reception staff tarnish practice image

The front desk personnel at this establishment exhibit an appalling lack of professionalism. Their demeanor is not only discourteous but borders on hostile, giving the impression that they believe they're the proprietors rather than employees. The arrogance displayed by these individuals is thoroughly off-putting and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere from the moment one steps through the door.

Great!

Caring staff in an overwhelmed practice

The medical center has been grappling with appointment availability issues, yet their service quality remains commendable. Each interaction, whether in person or via phone, has been marked by exceptional care. The staff's dedication and warmth are truly noteworthy, consistently striving to deliver top-notch service. I've been a patient here for nearly four years now. My heart goes out to the reception team, who often face unwarranted verbal aggression. I've witnessed patients loudly demanding immediate doctor consultations, refusing to leave until their demands are met - as if the receptionists could conjure appointments out of thin air. Despite these challenges, the practice maintains a high standard of care. However, it's evident that resource constraints are taking their toll on this otherwise excellent healthcare provider.

Frustrating appointment system at worst clinic

Securing a slot with this medical practice is akin to scaling Mount Everest - a Herculean task that tests one's patience and resolve. Attempting to book via phone? You might as well be serenading a brick wall. It's reminiscent of that classic Blondie tune, where you're left dangling on the line, desperately hoping for a human voice. Not surprisingly, this establishment has earned the dubious honor of being ranked dead last among Nottingham's medical facilities. A truly impressive feat of incompetence, wouldn't you agree?

Negligent care leads to emergency surgery ordeal

I've been trying to get an appointment for five consecutive days, calling at 8 AM each time, only to be told to try again the next day. The situation escalated to the point where I ended up in A&E requiring emergency surgery, with another operation still pending. This could have been avoided if the receptionist had simply listened to me instead of being dismissive and rude. All I needed were antibiotics, as I've experienced this condition before and knew what it was. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. Previously, I had a cancer scare, and after waiting 11 days for results, I had to call them myself. They claimed they didn't have the results, but it turned out they were in my file the entire time. These repeated instances of negligence have severely eroded my trust in this practice. I no longer feel confident entrusting them with my health or life, as I've been put at risk far too many times. I'm eagerly looking forward to finding a new surgery where I can receive proper care and attention.

Declining service and missed health warnings

I've experienced a significant decline in the quality of service at this medical facility. During my HGV medical examination, which I had there since it was my regular doctor's office, they informed me about my high blood pressure. However, they failed to mention that I was on the verge of developing diabetes, and now I'm dealing with type 2 diabetes. Scheduling appointments became a real challenge, often requiring a month-long wait. The receptionist had a habit of shifting blame onto others when mistakes were made. Considering these issues, I'm relieved to have moved on from this practice.

Disastrous GP experience: Lost forms and chaos

The experience at this medical practice has been nothing short of disastrous. From the moment I stepped in, I encountered incompetence at every turn. The receptionists seem incapable of basic organization, misplacing crucial paperwork with alarming frequency. Attempting to reach them by phone is an exercise in futility, with calls mysteriously disconnecting precisely when they open at 8 AM. To add insult to injury, their website is a minefield of misinformation, leaving patients bewildered and frustrated. The quality of care provided by the GP is so abysmal that it borders on malpractice. I find myself longing for my former physician, whose retirement has inadvertently subjected me to this nightmare of a healthcare provider. Each interaction with this practice feels like a self-inflicted wound, leaving me with a sense of dread and anxiety that lingers long after I've left their premises.

Endless delays and poor service at GP practice

I've experienced a frustrating cycle with this GP's appointment system. Every time I call, I'm instructed to phone back at the end of the following week for a routine appointment. The process involves enduring lengthy hold times, only to be met with the same unhelpful response. This pattern repeats endlessly, making it nearly impossible to secure a consultation. The inefficiency and lack of consideration for patients' time is appalling. I've never encountered such a poorly managed practice, and it's clear that their patient care is severely lacking. It's a shame that accessing basic healthcare has become such an ordeal here.

Rude receptionists and unfair appointment system

The front desk staff at this medical practice display an astonishing level of discourtesy. Their appointment system, which operates on a "first-come, first-served" basis, feels more like a frantic race than a proper healthcare scheduling process. It's absurd that someone with a minor sniffle could potentially secure an appointment before a patient experiencing excruciating testicular pain. The receptionists' apathy is so profound that one could collapse right before their eyes, and they'd likely just advise calling back at 8 AM the next day, only to be informed that no pre-bookable slots are available. This establishment's approach to patient care is nothing short of farcical, and it's high time authorities consider shutting it down entirely.

Endless wait for appointment at failing clinic

After five months of relentless attempts to secure an appointment, I'm left utterly frustrated. It seems everyone who approaches this establishment is met with rejection. The perpetual absence of physicians renders this facility entirely inadequate for its intended purpose. Assigning even a single star feels overly generous, but the system compels me to do so for this review to be posted. The sheer incompetence and constant disappointment have pushed me to my limits. This place is an absolute disgrace to healthcare, failing miserably at its most basic function. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. The management ought to be ashamed of running such a dysfunctional operation. It's a complete waste of time and resources, leaving patients neglected and desperate for proper care.

Clinic concerns: Privacy, results, and appointments

Obtaining an appointment has become increasingly challenging, a widespread issue these days. Recently, I phoned to inquire about blood test results from a fortnight ago, only to be informed by the receptionist that I needed to be added to the doctors' results list. This struck me as peculiar, as I hadn't encountered such a process in previous blood work appointments. It raises concerns about whether I would have been notified about my ongoing six-month investigation without my proactive follow-up. The new policy allowing reception staff to inquire about personal information is problematic due to the lack of privacy in the waiting area. Discussing sensitive matters in close proximity to other patients feels invasive and compromises confidentiality. Overhearing such conversations is unavoidable and highly inappropriate. On a positive note, my experiences with punctuality have generally been satisfactory, with appointments typically starting on time or with minimal delay. The receptionists maintain a friendly demeanor, and most healthcare professionals have been pleasant, barring one dismissive encounter years ago. I was particularly impressed by a young, dark-haired phlebotomist with dark skin who recently took my blood. Her professionalism and patience were commendable, especially given the difficulty in drawing blood from me, which likely caused delays in her schedule.

Helpful staff resolves stressful situation

I recently encountered a bit of a hiccup trying to reach them by phone, but my visit to the office this afternoon turned things around completely. I had the pleasure of being assisted by a delightful staff member - I believe her name was Chloe. She was an absolute gem, expertly guiding me through a rather complex and anxiety-inducing situation. Her proficiency and willingness to help were truly commendable. It's refreshing to see new faces in the team, and her presence felt like a revitalizing breeze. Her approach brought a welcome change to the atmosphere, making the entire experience notably more positive.

Neglectful GP practice fails patient in crisis

I've been neglecting my deteriorating health for ages, unable to secure an appointment. When things took a drastic turn for the worse, I had to practically beg for one, emphasizing my declining condition just to get any response. They grudgingly offered a phone consultation at 11 AM, but I received a call at 9:30 AM from an incredibly discourteous and abrasive woman who pressured me to rapidly explain my issues. Her demeanor exacerbated my anxiety, and when I requested a moment to collect myself, she curtly dismissed my need, citing time constraints. I proceeded to list my symptoms: rapid weight loss of a stone in under two weeks, severe muscle spasms, a persistent cough lasting nearly two months, urinary difficulties, shortness of breath, and insomnia, among others. These concerns had been disregarded for an extended period due to the GP's inattentiveness and the practice's inaccessibility. Astonishingly, she then admonished me for discussing multiple issues, failing to comprehend that I was merely cataloging my symptoms, which naturally encompass various health concerns. This medical practice is utterly ineffective and should be shuttered, with a complete overhaul of staff. From the GPs to the receptionists, the entire team, barring the nurses, displays a shocking lack of empathy and professionalism, making health management an unnecessarily arduous task. While the nurses demonstrate kindness, they're the sole bright spot in an otherwise abysmal healthcare experience.
