I've consistently received good service at the surgery on Binfield Road, but I encountered a minor issue (partly due to my own mistake when using the NHS App) that might have led to an unnecessary test and additional appointments. I visited the practice, and a member of staff reviewed the situation, clarified what had happened, and resolved it in under five minutes. I was very satisfied with the thorough attention to detail and helpful support I received. Thank you.

Upon arrival at reception, I received no welcome or acknowledgment. The receptionist continued conversing with a colleague when I requested my documents, without providing any explanation regarding the process or timeline. I felt overlooked and unattended to throughout this interaction. When my paperwork was eventually provided, the exchange lacked courtesy and meaningful engagement. I was unable to express gratitude before receiving a curt response that came across as dismissive and lacking in professionalism. All patients should receive fundamental courtesy, transparent communication, and professional conduct. This visit left me feeling unwelcome, and I would encourage the practice to consider reviewing its reception procedures and standards.

Impossible to book appointments through this surgery

I have attended three different GP surgeries throughout my life, and in comparison to my previous practice, this one falls significantly short. Securing an appointment feels nearly impossible—the odds seem worse than winning the lottery. The only realistic way to attempt booking is to call at opening time, though this typically results in being told that no slots are available roughly nine times out of ten. When I had a time-sensitive health concern that required prompt medical evaluation due to my background, this surgery was unable to assist me. I contacted the NHS 111 service instead and received three separate options for assessment on the same day. In contrast, when facing an urgent issue at this practice, patients appear to have very limited options. I am in the process of switching to a different surgery and do not wish to continue here.

I'm uncertain whether they might be suitable for non-urgent matters, or if there are alternative ways to access their services that I'm unaware of. Following a more recent visit, my experience with the reception team has improved, particularly when using the online booking system. While the clinical staff have been professional in their interactions, I felt the level of support provided could have been more comprehensive. Overall, my impression of the practice has become more positive than my initial assessment.
