This medical practice has deteriorated significantly from its former excellence. Their insistence on an online portal, which may eventually address patient needs, completely undermines the importance of immediate, attentive care. The reception staff are particularly problematic, with only one employee demonstrating professional phone etiquette, while the others seem content to dismiss patients and abruptly terminate calls. Over the past eight months, it has become painfully clear that the practice is comfortable employing receptionists who lack genuine commitment to patient service. This unprofessional approach is further compounded by the fact that approximately half of their current physicians share the same indifferent attitude. The practice's golden era for me was between 2009 and 2017. Dr. Farooq and a handful of other staff members are literally the sole reason I continue to remain with this GP practice.

The extended six-week wait for a blood test is unacceptable, and for a potentially serious condition, such a delay could significantly worsen my medical situation. I'm thoroughly disappointed with this medical practice and feel completely stuck due to the geographical restrictions of GP surgery catchment zones.

The personnel at Blackfriars consistently demonstrate exceptional qualities - they're unfailingly courteous, consistently supportive, and invariably professional. I would enthusiastically award the staff a perfect 5-star rating. However, the overall medical practice's performance is disappointingly subpar. Hoping to secure a same-day appointment? You're essentially facing an uphill battle. When your general practitioner recommends a follow-up within the next week and you request an alternative date, you'll likely find yourself waiting a month - and that's assuming the booking system even permits scheduling that far ahead. I'm fully aware that the NHS is struggling with significant resource constraints and staffing challenges, and I absolutely do not blame the wonderful staff members. Nevertheless, obtaining timely medical assistance has become incredibly challenging in the current environment.

I've consistently encountered exceptional care from the medical and nursing professionals, particularly Dr Farooq and Dana. The reception team is generally excellent, though I once experienced an interaction with a male receptionist who seemed extremely cold and impersonal - fortunately, he doesn't appear to be around anymore. The receptionist wearing a headscarf is particularly delightful, though I regrettably don't know her name.
