During our vacation, my daughter fell ill. After consulting 111, they advised us to visit the local doctor's office. The medical practice was incredibly supportive, and they genuinely took excellent care of my child. Heartfelt thanks to the entire staff - your kindness means the world to us.

Phone Lines Tricky, But Staff Are Helpful

Reaching them via telephone is quite challenging, with calls frequently going unanswered. I'm aware they appear to be understaffed regularly, so I'm willing to be understanding about that. When physically present at the location, the staff—including receptionists and pharmacist—are extremely helpful and proactively work to resolve issues. Their digital platform for communicating with the practice and managing repeat prescriptions seems perpetually unavailable. Today, on August 12th 2025, the system is once again down. From my experience helping a friend, this appears to be a consistent problem.

Unhelpful Staff Made My Medical Request Impossible

Called twice and interacted with the same female representative who displayed a dismissive attitude and was unwilling to assist. Their claim of being at capacity and directing me online is completely unsatisfactory. Sending an email to the physician would take mere moments. Instead, I was compelled to dial an alternate contact number and connected with a different staff member. The issue was resolved efficiently within five minutes. I'm hopeful the initial representative was simply experiencing a challenging day and doesn't consistently treat all customers with such disrespect.

What an absolute disaster of a medical practice! Just to initiate communication, you're forced to navigate through a maze of clinic paperwork before even attempting to connect with a physician. Then, some anonymous individual arbitrarily determines whether your medical concern merits a response, and if they deem it unworthy, they simply erase you from their follow-up list ????? Total lack of empathy, zero patient consideration ........ undoubtedly the most incompetent healthcare facility I've ever encountered!!!

Stillmoor House Saved My Life

After seeing the unjustly low rating and numerous negative reviews about Stillmoor House, I felt strongly motivated to share my own perspective and set the record straight! I've been a patient here for many years, including during some incredibly challenging periods of my life, and without exception, every single staff member has been absolutely outstanding. Even when I didn't feel deserving, they remained incredibly kind, supportive, and went above and beyond to assist me. Reading these disparaging reviews has made me incredibly frustrated, and my message to those who wrote such nonsense is clear: "If you're unhappy with Stillmoor, then please do everyone a favor and FIND ANOTHER PRACTICE! Preferably somewhere far away!" I understand that securing a doctor's appointment can be difficult, but this is not the fault of the doctors, nurses, or staff - they are genuinely doing everything humanly possible under challenging circumstances that they did not create. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone at Stillmoor House for the exceptional care you've provided me and countless others. You are all truly remarkable, and I am profoundly grateful for you and the incredible NHS.

Rude Receptionist Humiliated Me at Surgery

The receptionist was incredibly unprofessional. Initially, she embarrassed me by laughing while I was collecting a 24h urine sample bottle in front of everyone at the surgery, handing it over without a bag, completely exposing my sample with zero regard for patient privacy. When I dropped off the sample, I asked if the label was correct, pointing out discrepancies. She assured me everything was fine. Upon checking my results, I discovered the sample was rejected due to incorrect labeling. This isn't the first instance where I haven't been notified of an error. I called the surgery to request a new 24h bottle, knowing they don't stock them on-site, as I have an upcoming doctor's appointment. The receptionist was dismissive, telling me to restart the process through e-console and get a nurse's approval for a new bottle. She claimed she was "just a receptionist" and couldn't help, directing me to contact urology. I've never interacted with urology and have no idea how to reach them. It seems absurd to expect a patient to contact a department about their mislabeled sample and order a replacement. Shouldn't this have been handled already? Isn't this the surgery's responsibility? The system is incredibly inefficient. I ended the conversation feeling completely demoralized and disheartened. After four years of mustering courage to discuss my mental health, I now feel reluctant to return to the surgery. I was humiliated, degraded, and sent on a frustrating wild goose chase to order something that should be the surgery's task. The receptionist repeatedly emphasized her lack of clinical training. Surely ordering a plastic bottle doesn't require medical expertise. If receptionists are now primarily managing online interactions, perhaps they should receive training to become genuinely helpful instead of making patients feel completely dismissed.

Needs improvement fast

Phone lines continue to be over run You can only call between 10 am and 11/30 am to order prescriptions Trying to get an appointment is worse than chances of winning the lottery Reception staff seem to have training on how to offend or be rude ( this has been the case for years ) I gave up and just put up with the pain of a 8 year long uti as a result of there lac concern

I strongly advise against visiting this medical facility. Dr. Riley and several other physicians have completely failed me by denying necessary treatment. Their negligence has not just disappointed me, but potentially endangered my well-being. Their unprofessional conduct is deeply troubling, and they should feel genuine remorse for their callous disregard of my health needs.

Unhelpful Care for Daughter's Dizziness

My child consulted a healthcare professional prior to the holiday season regarding intense vertigo. The practitioner initially suggested medication, but when seeking authorization from the on-call physician, was informed the prescription would incur a £10 cost, which led to the prescription being denied. Instead, the doctor advised my daughter to purchase over-the-counter motion sickness tablets from a pharmacy. Upon requesting these tablets at the pharmacy and explaining her situation, the pharmacist became visibly frustrated, as they are not permitted to sell such medication specifically for treating dizziness. From my personal experience, having previously been registered at this same medical practice, I have consistently found their approach to be insensitive and, at times, remarkably callous in their patient interactions.
