Great local gp surgery with caring and efficient staff

I must admit, this general practitioner surgery has consistently been excellent and supportive. They provide rapid online appointment scheduling, the telephone staff are cordial and welcoming, and when I encountered an issue, the team resolved it with impressive efficiency. Overall, it was a thoroughly positive experience with genuinely caring and accommodating medical professionals.

Terrible medical experience with unhelpful staff

This surgical experience was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. I wasted countless hours trapped in a phone queue, only to be shuffled around and handed off to endless online paperwork. The staff were consistently unhelpful and irritable, with personnel rotating through but the underlying issues remaining exactly the same. Under no circumstances would I suggest anyone seek treatment at this facility.

Terrible healthcare experience with delayed response

What an appalling situation! I was instructed to monitor my blood pressure twice daily for a five-day period. I diligently recorded the less-than-optimal readings and submitted them to the medical practice. After waiting eight days with no response, I contacted the receptionist, who was quite supportive and relayed my information to the physician. Subsequently, I received notification that the Doctor intends to modify my prescription and will contact me on August 3rd, which is more than three weeks in the future.!!! What potential risks might have gone unnoticed if I hadn't been proactive in following up!!

Exceptional medical care with compassionate and efficient team

The surgical procedure was exceptional. From the front desk personnel to the nursing staff and physicians, everyone was cordial, supportive, accommodating, and well-informed. The new Klinik system has been a game-changer, eliminating the frustration of lengthy phone wait times. I've managed to secure urgent consultations as late as 3 pm and still been seen within the same day. The doctors are genuinely attentive, carefully considering patients' perspectives when determining the most appropriate treatment plan.

Excellent healthcare with friendly and efficient staff

Swift sign-up process at the clinic, and they're proactive about scheduling post-natal check-ups for myself and my baby. Phone lines at reception can be challenging to get through, but the staff are warm and supportive both on the line and face-to-face. Repeat prescription requests are handled efficiently, and the medical team - from nurses to general practitioners - are consistently professional, well-informed, and supportive. Overall, thoroughly satisfied.

After decades of receiving care at Hawthornden surgery, I'm quite taken aback that scheduling a standard consultation now requires a five-week wait. In the past, securing an appointment with my general practitioner took no more than four days. It's truly disappointing how things have changed.

Terrible medical care leaves patient frustrated and neglected

The level of service here is utterly unacceptable. I've been diagnosed with a medical condition necessitating regular blood tests and prescription renewals, yet due to the sheer inefficiency of this medical practice, I've been stuck in registration limbo for over three weeks, when the process should only take a week. As a result, I'm now two weeks past due for my critical blood test and have been forced to obtain two emergency prescriptions, all because the Bourne End doctors have completely failed to register me properly. This situation is completely intolerable and demonstrates a shocking lack of professional competence.

Frustrating medical registration nightmare

The service was absolutely abysmal. They claimed my registration would be processed within a week, but after ten days, I was still not entered into their system. Frustrated, I opted to cancel my registration and seek alternatives, only to discover weeks later that they were still attempting to retrieve my records from my previous healthcare provider. Given that I'm currently dependent on prescription medication and need to maintain a consistent supply, this level of incompetence was incredibly disruptive and unacceptable.
