Long wait led to zero help

Absolutely the most dreadful surgical experience possible. I'm seriously considering relocating because I can't tolerate this treatment. I wasted more than 60 minutes on hold, only to be dismissed and instructed to call back the next day. I'm completely baffled about the purpose of these medical professionals, as they're clearly not focused on patient care or providing any meaningful assistance.

Nurse practitioner's kindness amid terrible care

This medical procedure is utterly appalling - their complete absence of empathy, kindness, and basic human dignity is simply inexcusable. My elderly mother, aged 98, who has been a loyal patient for over six decades, has been shamefully neglected and denied the dignified care she unquestionably merits. I am profoundly heartbroken for patients who lack family advocacy and must desperately struggle to receive even minimal attention. It is an absolute and total disgrace. The single star I reluctantly award is solely in recognition of the nurse practitioner who demonstrated a rare glimpse of genuine compassion amidst this systematic failure.

Endless wait and no medication help

Goodness, I attempted to order my prescriptions and had to make multiple phone calls. The surgery's online information stated their hours are from 8am to 6pm. When I called the surgery, I encountered their standard answering machine message and was placed in a queue. Every few minutes, the system would update me on my position in line, repeatedly confirming their 8am to 6pm operating hours. My total waiting time exceeded 3 hours. At 11am, I contacted 119 and explained my medication needs, expressing my desperate situation. I was struggling intensely with my mental health and experiencing severe suicidal thoughts. Now, it's Monday, December 27th, 2021, at 6:43pm, and I have received absolutely no response or contact from anyone regarding my urgent request.

Waited 45 minutes just to be ignored

The surgery is an absolute farce I have an overwhelming number of grievances that cannot be fully articulated. I have repeatedly contacted the practice manager, out of professional courtesy, to express my dissatisfaction with the surgery. Regrettably, she seems perpetually unavailable to return my calls, hence this review. What was previously a stellar family-operated medical practice under Dr Roberts, who genuinely prioritized patient welfare, has devolved into a complete mockery. I am now escalating my complaint to NHS England, requesting a comprehensive investigation into this practice and the senior partner who appears to be monopolizing medical practices across Liverpool. How is this permissible? Why have they lost CQC registration? Do we even have a resident physician - and if so, who are they and when are they actually present? I genuinely sympathize with the reception staff who must absorb patients' frustrations while the designated practice supervisor cowardly conceals herself behind her desk! After more than seven decades as a loyal patient, my entire extended family is now departing to safeguard our health. I have fortunately discovered an alternative practice that actually answers telephone calls without subjecting patients to interminable waiting periods. My unequivocal recommendation to current patients is to seek alternative medical care IMMEDIATELY.

Receptionists left me stranded all afternoon

Terrible service from the front desk staff who desperately need to be fired. I waited endlessly in the first position of the queue, and they took half an hour to pick up the phone. Not only did they fail to connect me with a physician, but they also advised me to contact an after-hours medical service in four hours, by which time local pharmacies would be closed. Considering the substantial National Insurance contributions I make monthly, this level of negligence is absolutely unacceptable. Completely appalling treatment.

Impossible to book a simple gp appointment

Utterly unacceptable service. They focus solely on COVID vaccine calls, completely disregarding urgent patient needs. The receptionist staff display a shockingly dismissive demeanor, responding with a curt "why what's your problem" when I attempted to schedule an appointment in person. Phone lines are perpetually congested, with wait times consistently stretching between 45 minutes to over an hour for each call. Despite being a patient at this practice since January 2021, I'm still struggling to secure a GP appointment as of June 2021.

Vaccine entry feels like waiting in limbo

Although I understand the importance of Covid vaccinations, the current process for interacting with reception staff needs significant improvement. The vaccination site's 'greeter' is routing people to a staff entrance where communication becomes virtually impossible. Once you arrive, you're left stranded, essentially standing helplessly and hoping someone might notice you through the door. The entire setup feels remarkably disorganized and reminiscent of a poorly managed facility, almost like an improvised system in an under-resourced environment.

£50 charged for a document processed eight weeks behind schedule, arriving just two days prior to Christmas! The form, spanning merely four sentences, vaguely referenced medical consultations from over a year and a half ago. Supposedly detailing the effort involved in completing the paperwork, the content absurdly focused on my nasal discomfort - what an absolute mockery of medical professionalism. I've dispatched approximately ten emails, yet not a single response has been received explaining the exorbitant fee or the document's inadequate content.

Docs lost after six frustrating months

I submitted confidential documents to reception in March for a taxi medical and endured a six-month wait with zero communication. Their phone lines are perpetually unresponsive, so I visited in person during November only to discover they have no record of my submission. When I requested my paperwork to pursue a private option, they informed me the documents are missing. Despite multiple visits, they remain unable to locate the papers and refuse to acknowledge their error. Communicating with the reception staff feels like speaking to a brick wall, with no one accepting responsibility. When I sought a medical history printout, I was told the responsible staff member is out sick with COVID. They promised a definitive callback the next day - a promise that was never fulfilled. I strongly advise against using this surgery; they demonstrate complete indifference to the patients who financially support their operations. It's now mid-January, and I'm still without the essential documents needed for a new job, forcing me to waste additional time navigating council offices to replace the paperwork they carelessly lost. An absolute organizational disaster!

Booking a nightmare at this practice

If you're seeking a medical consultation, prescription refill, or mental health support, be prepared to schedule at least a month ahead - and even then, your chances are slim. Their communication is abysmal; phone calls go unanswered, and messages are rarely returned. Prescription completeness is a constant issue, with half the medication often missing. This has been ongoing for over a year, so it's not pandemic-related. The practice is incredibly frustrating. Even when you manage to visit in person, your odds of seeing an actual doctor are roughly one in ten. More often than not, you'll be directed to a practitioner (essentially a nurse) who, admittedly, might be more competent than the doctors on staff.

Serious eye problem left untreated

I sought a prescription for eye drops due to persistent eye discomfort, and after the doctor issued the medication, the pharmacy informed me it was unavailable. When I requested to consult a physician, I was told I would need to wait 10 days for an appointment. I explained my diabetic condition and additional health concerns, but they claimed they could offer no assistance. Repeated calls yielded the same unhelpful response, forcing me to consider hospital intervention. Their dismissive attitude and complete lack of alternative treatment options caused me significant distress, compelling me to visit the local Royal Hospital's A&E, where I received treatment within an hour. The attending physician emphasized the severity of my condition and promptly arranged a specialist consultation due to the critical nature of my medical situation. This medical practice demonstrates profound deficiencies in patient care and is clearly failing to meet the fundamental duty of care mandated by the NHS. As a result, I am definitively changing my GP and will be filing a formal complaint regarding their substandard level of medical service.
