My GP DR BROTHERS DR ELLICOTT And all the other doctors and staff are truly outstanding .The help I get is truly Amazing ...I cannot thank my doctors enough for always taking their time to look after me .I have been with this surgery for so many years .I could never go anywhere else .Truly from my heart i want to say a massive thank you. Excellent doctors, poor service and admin

Dr. Brothers and Dr. Ellicott undoubtedly merit the highest praise, standing out as beacons of excellence in an otherwise declining service. Having been a loyal patient for over a decade and a half, I've witnessed a distressing downturn in quality over the past couple of years. The once-reliable phone system now frustrates callers, abruptly disconnecting them just as they reach the front of the queue. The administrative staff, barring a few competent individuals, treats patients with a shocking lack of consideration. These rare gems of efficiency strive to assist to the best of their abilities, but they're the exception rather than the rule. Today's experience only reinforced my growing dissatisfaction when, after patiently waiting to secure the first position in the queue, I was unceremoniously disconnected yet again.

Frustrating journey to get medical attention

The process of seeking medical attention has become an absolute nightmare. I've been caught in a frustrating loop of phone calls and conflicting instructions. At 8 AM, I was told a doctor would call between 9 AM and 5 PM, only to receive an email directing me to contact a pharmacy instead. After enduring a 20-minute call with a pharmacist while struggling with a severe sore throat, I was advised to see a doctor for antibiotics. This led to more back-and-forth between the GP's office and the pharmacy regarding a missing email. The ordeal continued with multiple requests to call back at different times, each leading to further delays. It's absurd that I'm expected to manage this administrative chaos while feeling utterly awful and missing work for two days. The suggestion to try again on a Wednesday, as if my illness could be scheduled, is laughable. To add insult to injury, after being told the GP would review my case after 5 PM, my husband couldn't collect the medication that evening due to work. The next morning, we discovered there was no prescription at all! I had to make yet another call to inquire about this oversight. If I were alone, this negligence could have had dire consequences. The lack of proper care and communication from the medical staff is not just disappointing; it's potentially dangerous.

Improved service at Bridge House Healthcare Center

I'd highly recommend Bridge House Healthcare Center. Recently, they've significantly improved their efficiency in handling 8:00 AM appointments, making the process much smoother. The reception staff have noticeably upped their game in terms of attentiveness. There's this particularly helpful Turkish gentleman who, if memory serves, works on Thursdays. His caring nature and attentiveness really stand out. Just yesterday, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Rosanne Ellacott. Her professionalism coupled with genuine empathy left a lasting impression. This marks the second time I've interacted with her, and I must say, her approach is commendable. She took her time, never making me feel rushed, and posed numerous questions before arriving at a diagnosis. It's refreshing to encounter such thorough and patient-centered care.

Patient's mixed experience with GP practice doctors

Dr. Ellacot and Dr. Brothers demonstrate commendable listening skills and proficiency as general practitioners. However, my experience with Dr. S. Manistre was less than satisfactory. She appeared disinterested in my concerns and merely ordered additional blood tests without addressing the previously noted high platelet readings. When I brought up the significantly elevated blood pressure and heart rate recorded during my stay in ambulatory care at the Whittington, she dismissed it, claiming the hospital hadn't communicated these results and suggesting they weren't "clinically relevant" - otherwise, they would have informed the GP. As a patient, I've had to follow up on these matters myself, which I find unacceptable. Dr. Manistre seemed to disregard the fact that I had been deemed unfit for certain investigations and too unwell to attend consultations, despite clear indicators of my poor health. This experience highlights the pressing issue of health inequalities within our community, which urgently needs to be addressed.
