The recommended exercises effectively managed my symptoms, and while the strain persists, the swelling and pain have significantly decreased with continued practice. Dr Ahmed was incredibly helpful, providing additional exercise links to aid in tendon repair and offering tailored pain relief that took into account my stomach condition. Her careful consideration of my medical history ensured I received appropriate medication. Bridgewater surgery continues to impress with its exceptional service, and I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone in the Watford area considering a new medical practice. The facility is immaculate and the personnel are incredibly welcoming, supportive, and competent. Parking costs £1 hourly (£3 for two hours) with ample room, though a single hour suffices if your procedure is brief. What an outstanding encounter! I required a large mole removal from my back, and the entire process was completed in just 15 minutes by an exceptional physician and her wonderful support team. I'm absolutely thrilled! Sincere gratitude!!

Rude receptionist ruins medical office visit

During my numerous visits over the past seven years, I have had nothing but respect for the medical professionals, including all doctors and nurses. However, my experience is marred by the receptionist, whose demeanor and communication are deeply problematic. Her rudeness and choice of words are genuinely distressing, leaving me feeling extremely uncomfortable and upset.

Wonderful Surgery and very helpful staff

My mother was very anxious and the Nurse Sue was very helpful and understanding, not to mention, fantastic at her job. She was able to withdraw her blood with the minimum of fuss and quickly and efficiently which was not possible prior to this. The last at reception, Deana was equally as helpful and very friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Frustrating online form blocks doctor access

The sole drawback is the mandatory online registration form that must be completed before consulting a physician. This process is extremely discouraging and significantly reduces my motivation to reach out to medical professionals. The previous method of simply making a phone call was far more straightforward. This new system won't deter time-wasters; instead, it will prevent genuinely sick individuals who feel too unwell to navigate the form, as well as older patients who find the digital process intimidating. Prior to the pandemic, scheduling medical appointments was much more accessible.

Frustrated with mental health care follow-up

I've been struggling with this general practice since registering recently. This marks my 4th appointment with the same clinician regarding my ongoing mental health challenges since late October 2024. Each time, I find myself repeating my entire background, despite the clinician being familiar with my history. There's a complete absence of follow-up care or check-ins to monitor my progress or emotional state. The expectation seems to be that I'll manage everything independently. They don't even extend basic communication courtesy like a phone call or text message, even when there's nothing significant to report. I initially chose this GP practice because it was conveniently located and had numerous positive reviews, but my experience has been disappointingly negative. Update 10/06/25- Additionally, I received a hospital report from Watford General Hospital concerning my mental health and suicidal thoughts on 1st June, yet the practice has made no attempt to contact me. I've only been able to initiate communication by calling and submitting an Anima form, and I'm still awaiting a response. With no communication from my designated doctor, I'm seriously considering switching to a different GP practice.

I will always remember her going above and beyond by calling me on a weekend simply to confirm I had received my surgical appointment details - such commitment is incredibly uncommon. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have been under your professional and compassionate care.

Stressed receptionist ruined my afternoon visit

I stopped by the office around 4 PM and encountered an uncomfortable situation at the front desk. The receptionist near the entrance — a woman with long dark hair and eyeglasses — appeared visibly overwhelmed and distinctly unfriendly. When I approached and tried to greet her, she disregarded my attempt at communication. She interrupted me mid-sentence and curtly stated, "Excuse me, I need to complete this… if this concerns your appointment, use the self-check-in system over there," gesturing brusquely toward the machine. Her demeanor was devoid of any personal connection, with zero eye contact or basic politeness — just a hurried and dismissive interaction. The reception area represents the initial patient interaction, and many visitors may be dealing with health challenges or personal stress. A small amount of empathy and standard professional courtesy can significantly improve the experience. Regrettably, those qualities were entirely absent during my visit. This encounter left me feeling distinctly unwelcome, and I sincerely hope the medical practice considers implementing additional staff training or support for their front desk personnel.

The surgical practice is truly outstanding, with a compassionate team and exceptional care. When I required medical attention for my young child yesterday, the anima system proved incredibly user-friendly. Dr Mehta responded with remarkable speed, and when we reached out a second time seeking additional assistance, the support was phenomenal. Dr Mehta promptly replied, followed by a wonderfully helpful call from Dr Bhudia. The level of service exceeded all our expectations. Over the past year, I've utilized this surgery multiple times for both myself and my children, and consistently, the staff have been incredibly supportive and the service has been top-notch.
