Feedback reveals a practice significantly challenged by appointment access and booking system difficulties. Patients consistently report unresponsive phone lines, lengthy waiting times to reach staff, and a restrictive same-day appointment policy that creates frustration, particularly for those unable to call at 8:30 AM. Reception experience is mixed, with some staff praised for courtesy and helpfulness whilst others are described as dismissive or unhelpful. Prescription handling issues and delayed care have been noted across multiple reviews.
In contrast, clinical care receives considerable positive feedback. Medical professionals, nursing staff, and allied health practitioners are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and thorough in their examinations and communication. Patients report feeling heard and reassured during consultations, with several highlighting exceptional support from specific team members. The practice's callback system and walk-in clinic for minor concerns are appreciated by those who have accessed them.
The overall picture reflects organisational dysfunction centred on access and administration rather than the quality of care delivered once patients reach clinical staff. Systemic improvements to appointment availability, phone responsiveness, and booking processes would likely address the majority of concerns raised across the feedback.

Frustrating appointment booking nightmare with endless waiting
Attempting to schedule an appointment, I was instructed to call back the following morning at 8:30 AM. Upon calling, I waited in line for 25 minutes, reaching first in the queue, only to be abruptly disconnected. I'll attempt again tomorrow, hoping for better luck. The staff members are genuinely courteous and seem to be doing their best under challenging circumstances. However, there's clearly a significant flaw in the current booking system. My one-star rating is specifically directed at the appointment scheduling process.

Nightmare phone system traps patients in despair
The medical practice's customer service is abysmal. Attempting to reach them by phone during the 8:30 AM free-for-all is nearly impossible. You'll need to set aside 2-3 hours just to keep redialing. Anyone with a job can forget about getting through. By mid-afternoon, all appointments are gone, and you're simply told to try again at 8:30 the next morning. This endless cycle plunges you into a pit of frustration. The practice was far more functional when it was a small, cramped six-room facility on the High Street. It's a prime example of how supposed "progress" can be a complete failure. I'm so exasperated that I joke I want "I tried to get through" engraved on my gravestone.

Unexpected gem with caring staff and professional service
I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, but today's experience compelled me to share. After recently relocating to Bridgnorth, I was initially hesitant about using this medical practice due to previous negative feedback, but since it was the most convenient option, we decided to try it out - and I'm genuinely thrilled we did. The receptionist went above and beyond to schedule our appointment, navigating complex administrative protocols to find us a suitable slot. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and carefully guided through COVID-related procedures. Despite a lengthy wait because they were incredibly busy, the nurse we consulted (Catherine) was exceptionally compassionate and professional. We both departed feeling genuinely heard, well-cared for, and relieved. I wanted to highlight these positive aspects, as it was truly a wonderful practice with an outstanding team.

Speedy care when i needed help most
Superb medical support today from the practice. I received a phone consultation with a physician promptly, just an hour after my initial contact. The front desk staff member was courteous and efficient, and the doctor swiftly arranged a follow-up appointment. Truly exceptional care, much appreciated.

Frustrating healthcare experience with unhelpful staff
Spent hours attempting to secure an appointment, only to be dismissed and told to try again the next day unless it's a critical medical situation. But how am I supposed to determine the severity of my condition? The discomfort is intensifying, forcing me to resort to calling 111 for guidance.

Frustrating and impossible healthcare at local surgery
Securing a medical consultation at this practice is an exercise in futility. Their appointment system is designed to exclusively offer slots on the same day of calling, which is completely impractical for working individuals. To have any chance of getting seen, one must potentially sacrifice an entire workday just to navigate their perpetually jammed telephone lines. If your health concern isn't an immediate crisis, their attitude seems to be "just endure it!" COVID-19 has become their universal excuse for everything, and even when you finally manage to see a healthcare professional, like in my wife's case, the likelihood of a misdiagnosis is frustratingly high.

Incompetent doctors failed to manage my graves disease
I've experienced absolutely terrible management of my Grave's disease by this medical practice. My condition is at its lowest point in three years, primarily due to multiple general practitioners who seem clueless about why they're even contacting me. They consistently fail to listen to my concerns and have neglected to refer me to a specialist despite my relocation eight months ago. Their approach is simply to prescribe medication after medication and repeatedly ask me, "What do you want me to do?" I'm the patient, not the medical expert - how am I supposed to know how to handle my severe thyroid condition? As a result, I am now moving back to Cheshire, where the GP practice actually demonstrates genuine care and competence!

Frustrating and inefficient medical appointment system
After diligently adhering to the pre-recorded instructions and enduring a 15-minute wait to connect with a staff member regarding appointment scheduling, I was informed to call back at 08:30 any morning when daily appointments are released. The representative even suggested having a cup of tea ready, anticipating another lengthy hold time. It's clearly overdue for the recorded message to be revised, as it currently provides inaccurate information about the actual appointment booking process at this medical facility.

Terrible healthcare experience at local medical practice
An absolute disaster of a medical practice that could easily claim the title of the most incompetent healthcare facility nationwide. Their level of service is so abysmal it defies belief.

Terrible healthcare service that left us feeling hopeless
A deeply unsympathetic healthcare approach. Securing an urgent consultation is extremely challenging. Attempting to connect with a physician via telephone when too unwell to visit the clinic is incredibly frustrating. Virtually unattainable to consult with your designated doctor. Emergency medical staff display a lack of competence. Physicians neglected to provide sufficient pain management or comprehend the intensity of my sister's suffering. The doctor dispensed advice without properly reviewing the MRI scan results.

Worst medical service ever experienced in bridgnorth
I called on Wednesday seeking urgent medical attention and was instructed to phone back the next morning at 8:30. I diligently set my alarm and rang the practice precisely at the specified time. After waiting 12 minutes to get through, I was informed that someone would return my call after their lunch break. It's now Friday, and I've received absolutely no communication. The medical staff at Bridgnorth doctors are completely incompetent. My anger goes far beyond mere frustration - I am utterly outraged by their total lack of responsiveness.

Terrible medical service with dangerous and unprofessional staff
I feel compelled to share my frustrating experiences with this establishment, having encountered 4 negative interactions out of 5 total visits. Initially, they caused significant harm to my partner by providing incorrect medical guidance, resulting in a Christmas Day emergency where his eardrums were damaged. The subsequent month was spent managing pain, infection, and recovery through a regimen of antibiotics and medication. The receptionist demonstrates complete incompetence. She directed me across the street to a location with no available appointments, then became irritated when I returned to address my original appointment - which she hadn't even properly verified. Her attitude suggests she's questioning why she should even care about managing appointments. She should consider finding alternative employment if she cannot handle basic customer service tasks. During another visit, I arrived at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment, only to be told I was late at 10:20. Despite this not being my fault, I was denied entry. Working night shifts, I had limited sleep to attend this appointment. The replacement receptionist claimed a misunderstanding and refused responsibility. When I requested practical solutions like written confirmations or reminder texts, I received a blank, unhelpful response. Their inability to manage simple scheduling is astounding. Each visit leaves me utterly frustrated, especially considering the taxes we contribute to support such services. Truly disappointing.

Terrible service putting patients health at risk
Absolute disappointment with this healthcare service. They consistently fail to process prescriptions accurately, with items constantly overlooked or not ordered. Despite battling cancer and diabetes, I'm unable to secure a timely appointment within a 5-day window. As a result, I'm forced to obtain my diabetes medication and treatment from Birmingham hospital. They should take notes from Church Stretton medical practice, which operates flawlessly and without such frustrating complications.

Terrible phone service driving me absolutely crazy
Have you recently updated your phone system? If so, it's absolutely terrible. I've attempted to reach someone four times today, each call lasting over half an hour with no response. I'm currently still on hold, and it's now been 9 minutes and 11 seconds without anyone picking up. Either staff your phone lines properly or implement a telephone system that actually functions.

Friendly staff but poor management response
The majority of the front desk staff are friendly and accommodating, but the practice manager was unresponsive when I raised concerns about a physician's unprofessional and discourteous behavior. The rest of the medical team, however, is wonderful.
