I've been consistently frustrated with scheduling appointments for my son at this practice. It seems impossible to book in advance - they only offer same-day slots, which are invariably gone by the time I get through. I've spent countless hours on hold, often as the first caller in the queue, yet still waiting endlessly. Today, I've been caller number one for over 12 minutes. One can't help but wonder if the staff are taking frequent tea breaks instead of answering the phone. This isn't a new problem; it's been a persistent issue for years now. The whole system feels inefficient and inconsiderate to patients' needs and time.

Rude receptionist ruins patient experience

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this establishment. The receptionist's behavior towards patients was shockingly discourteous and unprofessional. Their rudeness left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. The level of customer service was abysmal, particularly from the front desk staff. I was appalled by the receptionist's lack of basic courtesy and their blatant disregard for patient comfort. This encounter has certainly tainted my view of the entire facility, and I would think twice before returning or recommending it to others.

I contacted the medical practice on Friday, May 17th at 4:10 PM to arrange a brief conversation between my mother and her physician regarding an urgent referral. The referral was based on concerning blood test results and a previous scan indicating potential cervical and ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, the receptionist's response was disappointingly unhelpful and lacking in empathy. They repeatedly stated, "There are no appointments available, I'm afraid," without offering any alternatives or expressing any understanding of the situation's urgency. This robotic and unsympathetic approach left my mother distressed and anxious for the entire weekend. The practice's inability to accommodate even a short discussion about such a critical diagnosis is deeply troubling. Their lack of compassion and flexibility in urgent situations is unacceptable. I intend to file a formal complaint and strongly believe this medical facility requires immediate intervention to address these serious shortcomings in patient care and communication.

The staff's demeanor was disappointingly arrogant, leaving us feeling dismissed and unheard. We left without any resolution to our problem, which was incredibly frustrating. Prior to our visit, I had come across numerous negative reviews about this medical practice online, but I had hoped they were exaggerated. My experience with this medical practice has been predominantly positive. While I acknowledge that others may have had different encounters, I've found the appointment booking process to be generally accommodating. For non-urgent matters, I've successfully scheduled pre-bookable appointments. More importantly, when I've required same-day consultations, I've typically been able to secure them, with only a couple of exceptions over the past two years. The staff has demonstrated commendable flexibility in addressing my health concerns, actively seeking solutions to ensure my ability to attend appointments and receive necessary treatments. I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Quinton and Nurse Practitioner Debbie for their recent assistance and support. Their presence at the surgery is a significant asset. Despite facing considerable pressure, the reception staff has consistently provided helpful service to me. However, I would suggest increasing the availability of blood test appointments. On several occasions, I've had to resort to hospital visits for quicker results, rather than enduring a weeks-long wait at the surgery. Regarding the Dr. IQ app, while it functions effectively for medication requests, I encountered an issue when attempting to order a sick note. The request went unanswered, necessitating a call to the surgery. I was informed that this system isn't consistently monitored, and future requests should be made via phone.
