Worst receptionist ever rude and unhelpful

I'm giving this a single star, and that's being generous. I've never encountered such an unprofessional and ill-tempered receptionist in my life. When I visited to register after recently moving to the area, her demeanor was incredibly negative. During our interaction, she became agitated when I provided my address, demanding specifics like "Street? Road? Avenue?!" despite me clearly stating "Broadway" - the very street we were on. She then struggled with scanning my pristine, week-old driving licence, acting as if the scanning issue was somehow my fault. When I mentioned my previous medical centre, Glenroyd, she insisted Bispham wasn't in Blackpool - despite my seven years of living there. She adamantly claimed I could only be registered at one location, refusing to understand that Glenroyd has multiple addresses. I ultimately had to call Glenroyd to resolve the dispute. She remained obstinate, never apologizing or acknowledging her mistake, instead sulking about being challenged. I ended up registering elsewhere with much friendlier staff. When I later attempted to get her name, she pretended not to recognize me. Their reception's unprofessionalism is shocking, and with numerous negative reviews, it's clear they're making no effort to improve. I have zero confidence in their medical practice based on this experience.

Completely revolting employees with a terrible demeanor, and not a single person there seems capable of performing their duties. The entire staff should be swapped out for individuals who are genuinely committed to the work, as these current workers appear to care only about their paycheck and nothing else.

I've consistently had positive interactions with the medical staff and front desk personnel. Politeness is a shared responsibility, and I've witnessed instances where patients have been unreasonable and difficult while receptionists are genuinely attempting to assist them. It's crucial to recognize that these staff members aren't magicians. The reception team has voluntarily initiated a program called Broadway Buddies, addressing a community need they identified. In my opinion, they are all putting forth their maximum effort, and I deeply appreciate their dedication and service.

Terrible service that lacks basic customer compassion

I'm giving this a single star solely to submit a review, though it truly merits zero. I attempted to schedule an appointment for next week, as my son is returning from overseas unexpectedly due to a health issue after being abroad for 24 months. The staff response was shockingly unprofessional - they curtly stated no appointments were available and suggested I call on the day with no guarantee of being seen. Their alternative recommendation was to visit a same-day centre. In stark contrast, when I contacted a practice in Cleveleys, they were incredibly supportive and professional. They promptly guided me through registering and confirmed an appointment could be made. I'm astonished more patients haven't already switched practices. This location desperately requires comprehensive staff training.

Rude staff and unhelpful medical advice ruined everything

Decided against signing up due to the incredibly rude and condescending attitude of the front desk staff, which led me to abandon my registration and seek services elsewhere. During my girlfriend's visit, she was informed that she would not receive a prescription until exhausting over-the-counter remedies first. Absolutely unacceptable. Zero stars.

Terrible customer service at local medical practice

Went to see my doctor about test results, but the receptionist abruptly cancelled my appointment without letting me speak to the doctor. I've been with my previous medical practice for 35 years without any issues, but since this new group took over, everything has gone downhill. Their staff seems more focused on interrogating patients than providing care. I have zero confidence in their receptionists, who appear to be running the surgery instead of the doctors. I strongly advise against choosing this medical practice - it's completely unacceptable.

Unhelpful staff fail to address urgent medical need

On 25/9/17, I visited the Broadway Medical Centre following instructions from Blackpool Victoria Hospital to have an open neck wound from Friday's surgery cleaned and prevent potential infection. The receptionist's demeanor was coldly impersonal and unwelcoming. When I explained that hospital staff had emphasized the need for immediate wound cleaning, I was curtly told to return on Wednesday and advised to try the walk-in centre instead. It seems to me that a reception desk should be the primary point of patient interaction, where staff demonstrate compassion and prioritize patient care. Instead, I was dealt with in a dismissive, almost militaristic manner that made me feel completely disregarded. (As an aside, I'm physically unable to reach the walk-in centre - this visit was already a significant challenge for me. So if my wound becomes infected, apparently that's of no consequence to them.) - Paul Foster.

Spent nearly half an hour waiting on hold to schedule a pediatric appointment, followed all pre-appointment instructions meticulously. When I finally spoke with the receptionist and provided all required details, the staff member mockingly dismissed our efforts, suggesting we'd unnecessarily occupied their time. As a result, we're now in the process of finding a new healthcare provider who actually respects patients.
