Dismissive doctor turns health concerns into nightmare

I visited the medical practice yesterday evening around 7pm, grappling with severe back pain that has plagued me for approximately 5 years. My hope was to gain some understanding of my condition. Instead, I was dismissively told that if my pain was truly serious, I would be gasping and unable to walk. I'm a physically fit young man, and my blood tests from three years ago were normal - it's almost comical. I was made to feel like a liar or an inconvenience. The doctor questioned why I hadn't raised these concerns with my previous physicians in Birmingham. When I attempted to leave, she actually blocked the doorway! Not a single relevant question was asked. My family history includes a father with a curved spine, a predisposition to thrombosis and arthritis, and I was previously hit by a car - all potential contributing factors. But apparently, because I 'look' fit, there's no cause for concern. Despite struggling to breathe, sleep, walk, and experiencing pain even when sitting, I was completely disregarded. An absolute mockery of medical care. To make matters worse, as I tried to discuss my concerns while leaving, she callously shut the door in my face. STEER CLEAR OF THIS MEDICAL PRACTICE.

Absolutely dreadful service from this medical practice. The moment I changed my address, I've been plagued with constant frustration. Their appointment scheduling is a complete mess, and the staff's demeanor is shockingly discourteous and unprofessional. Attempting to secure a consultation has been the most challenging ordeal I've ever encountered. The sole bright spot was a single GP appointment with a genuinely pleasant doctor.

Terrible customer service and unprofessional medical staff

The reception staff were utterly unhelpful during our phone call, displaying a dismissive and impatient attitude. Despite being referred by A&E personnel to schedule a follow-up consultation and arrange a lab sample, the receptionists are obstructing this process, seemingly believing they know more than medical professionals. We're potentially dealing with a potential kidney infection, yet they're content to leave us hanging. Their approach is unacceptable. My advice would be to seriously consider finding alternative healthcare providers who actually prioritize patient care.

Fantastic doctors with friendly and efficient staff

I've been a patient at this medical practice for nearly six years, and I can confidently say the reception staff are consistently friendly and accommodating (I'm aware receptionists often get criticized, and my previous doctor's office had its challenges, but here I've genuinely never encountered a single problem). Whenever I need an appointment for myself or my child, I'm always able to secure one. Despite relocating approximately 20 minutes away from the practice four years ago, I remain committed to staying with this medical team due to my overwhelmingly positive experiences.

Terrible medical care leaves patient feeling frustrated

A completely unacceptable medical practice. I've recently been discharged following heart surgery, and the situation leading up to this has been utterly frustrating. I've been awaiting a neurologist-prescribed medication for my Parkinson's condition since February 22nd. When my husband went to deliver the cardiology letter to the clinic, he inquired about the prescribed medication. The receptionist, sporting bright red lipstick, dismissively refused to answer questions through the service window, stating that she might phone to resolve the issue if she felt inclined. She then abruptly shut the hatch. The level of unprofessionalism is appalling. I'm eager to find alternative healthcare providers, and it seems I'm not alone in my dissatisfaction with this clinic's deplorable service.

The situation became perplexing when the NHS app indicated the GP had approved my prescription, yet the pharmacy had no corresponding record. Upon reaching out to the GP reception, I was initially told the prescription would be ready the following day. However, a subsequent phone conversation revealed that the medication would not be available until three days later, as originally scheduled. The prescription was ultimately issued on its final expected day, but by then I had already exhausted my existing supply. Additionally, the pharmacy requires processing time, which meant I was left without my essential blood pressure medication for multiple days. This experience has raised serious concerns about the potential health risks if my blood pressure were to spike during such a medication gap. I am seeking clarity on how these types of situations are handled and what preventative measures could be implemented to avoid similar disruptions in the future. Worst medical experience ever dangerous incompetent staff

Incompetent administrative personnel. UNTRUSTWORTHY primary physician. I'm currently pursuing a medical malpractice lawsuit stemming from excessive diazepam prescription and misplacement of critical medical and academic records. Additionally, financial losses have occurred. I've been forced to repeatedly pay for the identical document multiple times.

Terrible service for elderly with complex health needs

Called today at 10:40 and was left waiting until 12:35 - absolutely ridiculous. They refuse to conduct a home visit for my 77-year-old mother, despite her having mixed dementia and a catheter. She's not well enough to travel to the clinic, but since she's not technically housebound, they won't come to her. I already took her to the surgery on Friday and I'm completely frustrated. The receptionist showed zero concern about my extensive wait time and just kept repeating that I need to bring her in. It feels like once patients reach 70, healthcare providers completely stop caring about their needs. This whole situation is completely unacceptable.
