Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across the practice, with significant variation in satisfaction levels. Many patients report positive interactions with reception staff who demonstrate courtesy and responsiveness, alongside compassionate medical professionals who provide attentive care. However, appointment access remains a persistent challenge, with patients frequently citing difficulty securing timely consultations through both phone and online booking systems. Several reviews highlight frustration with extended waiting periods and the practice's preference for directing patients toward alternative services rather than offering direct GP appointments.

Communication and continuity of care emerge as areas of concern, with some patients reporting lack of follow-up on treatment outcomes and inconsistency when seeing different practitioners. Reception experience is notably polarized, with some staff receiving praise for going above and beyond, whilst others are described as discourteous or unhelpful. The practice's digital booking platforms, including e-consult and online systems, generate mixed reactions—some patients find them efficient and convenient, whilst others experience frustration with capacity limitations and rescheduling complications.

Where patients do access care, medical treatment is frequently described as effective and supportive. Several long-term patients express appreciation for the practice's responsiveness to urgent needs and the quality of clinical care provided. However, concerns about medication delays, appointment cancellations, and perceived organizational inefficiency suggest systemic challenges that impact the overall patient experience, particularly for those with complex or ongoing healthcare needs.

Pancreatitis missed for months by gp

Four years back, my medical experience was nothing short of frustrating. My healthcare providers consistently dismissed my stomach pain, attributing it to muscle issues. Each appointment was disappointingly brief, lasting merely 5 minutes, with instructions to return the following month if symptoms persisted. This pattern continued for four months until I reluctantly sought emergency care at A&E. Initially, the emergency staff gave me a hard time due to my doctor's lack of referral, making me feel like I was wasting their time. However, they eventually took a blood sample, which revealed I had Pancreatitis. Shockingly, no further investigations or guidance were provided to understand the underlying cause. Now, I'm facing another medical challenge with a cyst in my wrist. The treatment requires funding, which has been repeatedly rejected. I'm left wondering: aren't I entitled to proper medical care through the NHS? What was the purpose of paying taxes all these years? These healthcare professionals seem nothing more than shameless opportunists.

Poor!

Worst hospital care ever in downtown clinic

Practically worthless unless you're facing terminal illness. The sole redeeming quality is that a few physicians display some compassion.

Quick surgery but tough scheduling

Excellent medical procedure with incredibly supportive physicians. The only drawback is their high patient volume, which can make scheduling appointments somewhat challenging and potentially delay treatment.

Great!

Quick same-day care when needed

I've consistently found this medical practice to be accommodating, with appointments readily available for both scheduled and urgent needs. There was one instance with a receptionist who came across as somewhat brusque and less than cheerful - not ideal when you're already feeling unwell - but I was still able to consult with the doctor, which was my primary concern. In contrast, the other front desk staff have invariably been courteous and supportive. While same-day appointments typically involve a considerable waiting period, I've always appreciated that I ultimately get seen on the day I need care. So, while not flawless, the overall experience has been quite positive.

Bad!

Terrible receptionist ruined my whole visit

The staff's lack of professionalism was evident from the start. The receptionist I encountered was exceptionally discourteous, displaying a complete disinterest in assisting me and treating my simple information request as an unwelcome burden. The medical facility itself appears antiquated, consistently behind schedule, and creates a thoroughly dispiriting environment even under the most favorable circumstances. Substantial reforms are urgently needed.

Unsettling experience. I'm hesitant to return to this medical office without first being informed about which physician will be treating me.

Waited forever at the hospital

Getting this procedure is pretty standard - expect to spend a lot of time waiting around, just like with most medical treatments.
