The new appointment booking process is utterly ridiculous Not only are you forced to use an online platform, but the system freezes when it's at capacity, preventing you from scheduling until the following day. The reception staff offer zero assistance. How are older patients supposed to book appointments when they aren't computer-savvy? I'm having difficulty securing a slot, and I'm technologically competent! @ the practice manager Revamp this booking system immediately. I'm unaware of any other medical practice in Slough or nearby using such an impractical online reservation method. It's completely absurd.

I've been attempting to schedule an appointment for two months, but every time I call, even at 8am, I'm stuck in phone queues for an hour, only to be told no slots are available. Experiencing severe health issues at 69, I found myself barely able to communicate. The triage and follow-up services were completely unresponsive and unhelpful. The staff's attitude was extremely frustrating - rigid, unyielding, and showing zero empathy for my critical situation. They seemed entirely indifferent to my personal circumstances, demonstrating a cold, bureaucratic approach. Moreover, I strongly suspect there was an underlying racial prejudice influencing their dismissive treatment.

Elderly care fails when patient needs help most

Deeply frustrated today. I'm not one to typically leave critical feedback, but I feel compelled to share my experience. My almost 91-year-old Mother experienced a backward fall in her garden on Friday. The A/E team provided exceptional care, thoroughly examining her and ultimately discharging her after a clear head CT scan. Since the incident, she's been incredibly fragile, slightly more breathless, and experiencing significant pain, which I assume is a result of the fall. She had a scheduled blood test this morning with Chrissy (who consistently provides wonderful care). I had proactively contacted the surgery requesting a GP to conduct a quick check-up, primarily for peace of mind. I was told no appointments were available and was advised to call back tomorrow morning, contact 111, or visit A/E. Despite emphasizing her advanced age and need for medical attention, I was met with a firm "no appointments." Having worked at a GP surgery myself, we always reserve same-day urgent appointments for precisely these situations. I'm genuinely perplexed why BHC cannot adopt a similar approach. Ultimately, she's been registered as a temporary patient where I work and will be assessed by one of my GPs. I acknowledge we're in a more fortunate position than most to facilitate this. The difficulty in securing medical appointments is genuinely concerning. Mum has been a long-standing BHC patient who rarely requires medical intervention, but today's service experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share my review.

Burnham health centre fails patient's desperate needs

I am planning to switch medical practices away from Burnham health centre. Since 2012, I've been a patient, but over the past 4-5 years, their service quality has dramatically deteriorated. I've been attempting to secure a single medical appointment for nearly five months now. When I visited reception, they were unhelpful and merely suggested I call at 8am the next day. I left devastated, once again having to explain to my employer my inability to obtain medical care. The following morning, I called at 8am, only to be told no appointments were available. I desperately explained my prolonged struggle to get an appointment, emphasizing how this situation was jeopardizing my employment and severely impacting my mental health. Despite my pleas, I received no assistance and was left emotionally distraught. The situation has become so dire that I'm experiencing daily suicidal thoughts. My inability to address my health concerns has resulted in job loss, forced relocation from my rented home, and I fear this ongoing neglect may ultimately cost me my life.

Terrible customer experience. The staff seem intentionally unhelpful and go out of their way to avoid scheduling an appointment. I recommend visiting the Walki In location on Slough high street instead, where you can interact directly with personnel who actually pay attention and won't brush you off like this place does.
