Feedback reveals a practice struggling significantly with appointment access and booking systems. Patients consistently report difficulties securing consultations through both telephone and online platforms, with many experiencing lengthy waits or repeated failed attempts. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple accounts describing staff as dismissive, condescending, or unhelpful when patients seek medical attention. Several reviewers note that consultations, when obtained, feel rushed and lack adequate time for proper assessment.
Positive feedback centres on clinical staff professionalism and courtesy, with some patients praising individual doctors and paramedics for their supportive approach and the cleanliness of the practice environment. A small number of recent reviews highlight improvements through new triage and digital booking systems, though others report these platforms remain inaccessible or non-functional. Prescription management and urgent care responsiveness also feature as recurring issues, with patients reporting delays and unresponsive communication.
The overall pattern suggests the practice faces capacity constraints that impact service delivery across multiple areas. While medical professionals receive consistent praise for their conduct and care quality, systemic barriers around appointment availability and reception responsiveness create significant frustration for patients attempting to access care.

Terrible healthcare with endless waiting times
Excellent resource with significant drawbacks in medical care. If you're experiencing health issues or need professional medical attention, this service falls short. The waiting period for something as basic as a blood test stretches beyond a month, rendering the entire system essentially ineffective.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff
This is an absolutely terrible medical practice. I have a concerning skin growth that I wanted a professional to examine. Getting an appointment by phone in the morning is impossible, so I spent an hour waiting outside the clinic. Upon reaching the front of the queue, the receptionist inquired about my issue, and I explained my concern. When she asked about the lesion's location, I stated I would discuss specifics with the doctor. She then insisted I could only have a telephone consultation. When I questioned why I couldn't see a doctor in person, she claimed it was because I wouldn't disclose the lesion's location. I asked if she had medical training, to which she responded, "You don't question me". I pointed out that as an employee, she should be accountable. I wanted to understand whether the staff screening patients are medically qualified. Her response was that I was free to leave the queue if I wished. Of course I could leave; I wasn't detained, but this was irrelevant to our discussion. The staff's attitude suggests patients must passively accept whatever they're offered without questioning anything. It is unacceptable to have non-medical personnel determining patient care. Their customer service is non-existent - they behave as if providing medical care is a favor they're generously bestowing, with a "take it or leave it" approach. In reality, patients are customers who deserve respect and proper care. I strongly recommend avoiding this practice entirely.

Terrible scheduling makes booking a nightmare
Scheduling an appointment here is a nightmare. The lack of a pre-booking system is incredibly frustrating. I've been attempting to secure a slot for seven days now, and it's absolutely absurd.

Disappointing medical service with zero patient support
Since the pandemic, this medical practice has significantly declined in quality. I submitted a 111 referral, and their sole response was to redirect me back to 111. Essentially, they appear to have no available appointments... and seemingly no intention of scheduling any. It feels like they're essentially telling me: "Thanks for reaching out, but please don't contact us again!" Best of luck to anyone else trying to get medical attention here.

Terrible service and unprofessional staff attitude
This health centre is a complete disappointment. I visited around midday last week for a blood pressure check, with no line at reception and an empty waiting area. Despite three receptionists being present, all of them deliberately ignored me while engaged in their own conversation for approximately 5 minutes. When they finally acknowledged me, the youngest staff member was discourteous and dismissive. Meanwhile, one of the other receptionists eventually answered the persistently ringing phone, only to inform the caller that no appointments were available and the reception was crowded with waiting patients. The situation raises serious questions about the integrity of the staff - are the doctors instructing receptionists to consistently mislead patients to avoid work, or are the receptionists fabricating stories to minimize their workload?

Worst healthcare experience ever frustratingly impossible
Scheduling an appointment here is practically impossible, to the point where the service is essentially nonexistent. This healthcare provider is so incompetent that it warrants an official inquiry from the highest administrative levels.

Terrible healthcare service with unhelpful and rude staff
Receptionists lacking medical expertise (and empathy) should not be responsible for screening phone calls and determining the severity of patients' conditions or whether they require an in-person consultation or a telephone consultation. Moreover, they frequently display a dismissive and condescending attitude and struggle to handle straightforward requests. On the rare occasions I successfully secure an appointment and visit the clinic, the waiting area is empty, leaving me perplexed about the allocation of appointments and the doctors' activities. During my visits, I observe medical staff and doctors leisurely enjoying tea while patients are left wondering about availability. The scarcity of afternoon appointments, the seemingly arbitrary closure of essential phone lines during staff shift times, and the apparent increase in staff complacency following Covid restrictions all contribute to a frustrating and inefficient healthcare experience.

Terrible service despite good doctors
The medical professionals are pleasant, but the reception team is absolutely terrible. Their patient access system is poorly managed, and the receptionist who handled my call was laughing condescendingly, bordering on ridicule. While there's a poster about respecting staff, which I would never violate as it's not in my nature, I can't help but question why these supposed 'professionals' don't demonstrate the same courtesy they demand. The entire system is unnecessarily complex, and the merger between Taplow Health Centre and Burnham was a disastrous decision that has only complicated matters further!

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff
Getting a doctor's appointment here is practically impossible! The front desk staff are incredibly condescending and seem completely indifferent to patients' health concerns. I'm left questioning the purpose of these physicians if they're not actually seeing anyone.

Disappointing service from an unhelpful staff member
I've enjoyed positive interactions with this service in recent times, but today's phone call to schedule a nursing appointment was marred by an incredibly unprofessional representative named Donna. Her demeanor was extremely discourteous and patronizing, which was completely unwarranted and inappropriate.

Frustrating healthcare nightmare with incompetent staff
Absolutely horrendous service. Completely clueless medical staff. When I inquired, the receptionist claimed they were occupied with "complex work." I pressed her for details, asking if a surgery was underway, and she was rendered speechless. Every GP visit results in a paramedic examining patients. Even my 3-year-old was initially seen by a paramedic before finally seeing a doctor and receiving antibiotics after a 10-day appointment struggle. My severely ill son could only secure a doctor's appointment after intense pleading and confrontation with the receptionist, who persistently tried to schedule a paramedic consultation. They're directly contributing to patient anxiety. Whenever my children fall ill, I'm overwhelmed with stress about obtaining a proper doctor's appointment, as paramedic consultations are utterly pointless. They consistently claim everything is fine. I seriously question the qualifications of paramedics beyond their basic training. There's a massive difference between a 5-year MBBS degree and a paramedic's course. We're humans, not machines - not just anyone should examine our children. Lives could have been saved from scarlet fever if doctors weren't so reliant on paramedics. Receptionists now act like doctors, arbitrarily deciding who sees a physician. They're ignorant of potentially deadly diseases with generic symptoms. If a Chinese doctor hadn't intervened during COVID, the paramedic would have dismissed it as viral, just like scarlet fever. Yet GP doctors learn nothing and maintain the same approach. This system is completely unacceptable. Why should I consult a paramedic when I'm paying substantial taxes? We're still struggling to see a proper doctor. During my visits, the GP appears empty. COVID is over, people have returned to work, markets are bustling, yet GP services remain stuck in pandemic mode. If you can't fulfill your professional responsibilities, don't become a doctor. Government oversight of GP surgeries is desperately needed. They cannot compromise children's lives. Those who claim the staff is pleasant - they're only nice until you challenge them about doctor appointments. The European medical model - paying insurance for flexible appointments - seems far superior. I'm considering studying medicine, so after five years, I can at least competently treat my own children. Utterly useless GP. Despite receiving government funding per patient, they provide no genuine service and act as if they're doing us a favor. I'm desperately seeking a sensible GP where children are actually examined by qualified doctors, not inexperienced paramedics lacking compassion.

Worst customer service ever absolute nightmare
Absolutely awful experience. First call, I was left waiting for 20 minutes only to be abruptly disconnected. Tried again, and this time endured a 35-minute wait, followed by an unhelpful and discourteous receptionist. I'm baffled by their unprofessional conduct and complete lack of customer service.

Great care at unexpected medical center
Contrary to the numerous negative accounts I've heard about various healthcare facilities, my experience at this center has been entirely different. The staff here are helpful and compassionate, providing a level of care that stands out positively.

Worst medical practice ever avoid at all costs
Would give minus stars if I could Been with this surgery for over 15 years and it seems to be rapidly deteriorating The receptionist acts like they own the place and respond like emotionless robots - an automated system would likely show more empathy They demonstrate complete indifference to serious family medical issues, and the doctors appear overwhelmed and disengaged. My personal complaints are numerous, including when my son was hospitalized in Chelsea, where medical staff were shocked by our GP's negligence regarding a previous December incident. This was a wake-up call, especially after my knee injury was mismanaged, causing prolonged suffering The final breaking point came during a physiotherapy session on Tuesday, where my pain unexpectedly worsened. Despite having a pre-booked appointment, the outcome was disastrous. When I called today seeking a callback, the receptionist coldly stated the physiotherapist could only offer an appointment on the 24th - an utterly ridiculous response Their attitude suggests they're doing patients a favor, with a callous "whether you live or die is not our concern" approach. I previously requested Naproxen but was bounced between departments, ultimately relying on my neighbor's assistance They supposedly have 24,000 patients but offer a pathetic 3-10 appointments through patient access - this is completely unacceptable I'm already distressed about my son's inadequate treatment, and this experience has intensified my frustration To make matters worse, a new, inexperienced doctor even threatened my daughter, despite her professional legal background God help anyone unfortunate enough to be registered here I'm not typically one to leave reviews, but their inhumanity and unprofessionalism are beyond comprehension They urgently need to be investigated and reported to NHS for these unacceptable service standards Why accept so many patients if you're fundamentally incapable of providing proper care?
