Excellent service. Called requesting an urgent appointment and was able to see someone within a few hours. The clinician identified the issue and provided a prescription. The reception team have consistently been welcoming and helpful.

Phone call resolved app booking issue quickly

Although I'm not particularly keen on visiting medical facilities, I must acknowledge that the service and assistance provided here is truly exceptional. I initially attempted to book an appointment through the online app, which seemed straightforward enough, but encountered an issue when I received a notification indicating I wasn't registered at that location and should contact my registered surgery instead. Understandably concerned, I made a phone call and spoke with a cheerful and supportive member of staff who resolved the matter promptly and secured me an appointment without delay. Upon arrival at the surgery, I was consulted by an excellent clinician who saw me at the scheduled time. Although the appointment involved some procedures I'm not particularly comfortable with, including blood work and an imaging scan, everything proceeded smoothly. The clinician demonstrated a professional manner and genuine care that helped put me at ease. I also had a consultation with a specialist in metabolic health management who proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable, informative, supportive and encouraging. This individual similarly helped me feel reassured and provided comprehensive guidance on next steps, whilst maintaining a friendly and positive demeanor that clearly benefits the practice. Overall, I must say that unlike other medical facilities I've attended previously, this one stands out as excellent, with staff and clinicians who are of the highest standard. I'm genuinely grateful for the experience. The surgery does have its own small car park, though I found street parking readily available outside when needed.

The administrative team consistently demonstrates friendliness and helpfulness, and I have been receiving care at this practice for several years. The clinical staff are excellent and the environment feels welcoming and compassionate. I've noticed some feedback from other patients regarding appointment delays and similar concerns. There have been times when I've arrived late for my appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, which resulted in needing to reschedule. I would encourage patients to arrive punctually for their scheduled slots. I'm grateful to everyone at the practice.

Booking appointments felt straightforward and stress-free

This is simply the best GP practice that I have ever experienced. The clinical staff are excellent, very knowledgeable, they don't rush you, and they are really friendly. Special mention to one particular clinician who stands out as by far the best GP I have had. It's also worth mentioning that booking an appointment is a much nicer experience compared with other large practices in the area. Reception staff at medical surgeries can have a reputation for being abrupt. This is not the case here. The reception team are fabulous and so helpful, even though they are clearly very busy. So, thank you again, and I look forward to my future visits.

I waited considerably longer than my scheduled appointment time, which I accepted without complaint given the pressures facing the service. However, when I arrived a few minutes late to a subsequent appointment, it was cancelled and I was not seen. As someone working in healthcare, I found this response inconsistent and felt it fell short of professional standards.

Unfortunately, I felt the need to leave this practice. There were multiple instances where I experienced dismissive and disrespectful communication from the reception team during phone calls. My interactions with the clinical staff were generally positive and professional. However, I was disappointed by what I perceived as unsuitable conduct from the administrative support team, which I found unacceptable. 👎

I'm afraid I have to concur with what other reviewers have mentioned—there is a member of the reception staff who appears to fall short of the standards maintained by the rest of the practice. To be direct, their manner comes across as abrupt and unwelcoming. I find myself feeling disheartened when I encounter this person either during phone calls or at the front desk. Regardless of how courteous or composed I try to be, I struggle to have a positive interaction with them. That said, this doesn't seem to be an isolated issue with how I'm treated. While waiting to be seen, I've observed this same person interact with other patients in a similarly curt manner. It's concerning to witness the way certain individuals are spoken to, particularly those for whom English is not their first language or younger adults—which is fairly typical given the practice's location.

The reception staff at this practice could benefit from training in customer service and professional communication. Having visited three different surgeries across the local area, I can say that the reception experience here significantly detracts from what is otherwise a well-run practice. The doctors themselves provide good care when given the opportunity, but the initial contact with reception sets a negative tone from the first phone call. The artificial manner of the staff interactions makes the whole experience unpleasant. The practice is fortunate to be located in a busy area, as the reception team's approach would likely deter patients elsewhere.

I had a disappointing experience when calling the clinic during morning appointment booking hours. The receptionist who assisted me displayed an unhelpful and dismissive manner that fell significantly short of the standard I have come to expect from this practice. Over my three years as a patient here, I have consistently received kind and professional service from all other staff members, making this interaction particularly notable for the wrong reasons. I had been instructed to call at the start of business hours to arrange a follow-up appointment to discuss some recent test findings. The high volume of calls at that time made it challenging to get through, and I had been attempting to secure this appointment throughout the previous week. When I finally reached someone this morning after multiple attempts, I was simply told to keep trying, with no acknowledgement of the genuine difficulty I was experiencing in reaching the clinic. It required me to become more assertive before an appointment could be booked for later in the spring. The approach taken lacked the professionalism and understanding that should be fundamental to a reception role. This interaction stands in stark contrast to the consistently positive experiences I have had with every other member of staff at this clinic, who have always demonstrated courtesy, consideration, and genuine willingness to help.

The reception team provided an unsatisfactory experience and displayed unhelpful behaviour. Update after a month or two: I would not recommend this health centre. The reception staff were difficult to interact with and left me feeling frustrated with my experience.

After spending a considerable amount of time at my previous practice, I made the decision to switch for several personal reasons. My partner had recently become a patient at this surgery and spoke very positively about their experience, which influenced my choice to register here as well. It has proven to be an excellent decision. The reception team responds promptly to calls, appointment availability is comparable to other practices in the area, and the entire team demonstrates genuine friendliness and professionalism.
