Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice struggling with significant operational and communication challenges that overshadow positive experiences with individual clinicians. Appointment availability remains a critical issue, with patients reporting difficulty securing slots through both phone and digital channels, lengthy waiting times during morning calls, and frequent cancellations. Reception staff conduct has emerged as a persistent concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous interactions, poor communication, and unhelpfulness when patients attempt to book or seek assistance. Beyond access barriers, patients describe broader service failures including medication management errors, unresponsive follow-up, administrative delays, and inconsistent care quality depending on which doctor is consulted.

Despite these systemic problems, the practice retains pockets of excellence. Several patients praised individual doctors and nursing staff for compassionate, attentive care and professional medical guidance. Some reception team members have been specifically commended for exceptional customer service and genuine support. A small number of patients reported satisfaction with appointment scheduling and overall care quality, suggesting improvements are possible.

The contrast between individual staff excellence and organisational dysfunction indicates the practice's challenges are primarily structural and procedural rather than rooted in individual capability. Patients consistently request better appointment availability, more reliable communication systems, improved reception courtesy, and more consistent care standards across the team. The feedback suggests urgent need for systemic improvements to booking processes, staff training in customer service, and better coordination of patient follow-up and administrative tasks.

Terrible service and complete administrative nightmare

I've been registered with this medical practice for over 13 years, and it's been a consistently disappointing journey. The administrative staff are particularly unhelpful and seemingly indifferent whenever I need to reach out. Since the new management took over, the service quality has nosedived even further. I've experienced repeated harassment about unnecessary smear tests, which appear to be more about bureaucratic box-ticking than genuine patient care. Their system changes have made appointment booking almost impossible. The new Evergreen app is perpetually offline, despite promises of 7:45 AM availability. The entire booking process has become an exhausting ordeal. Attempting to secure an appointment means wasting time calling at 8 AM, only to find yourself 30th in the queue, eventually speaking to an apathetic administrator who shows minimal interest in addressing your medical needs. I'm perplexed by their decision to expand their patient list when they demonstrate such a clear lack of commitment to patient treatment. I've encountered numerous issues, including not being informed about critical test results—requiring three separate calls just to obtain necessary information. On one occasion, I checked in for an appointment, was directed downstairs, waited an hour, and discovered they hadn't even properly logged my arrival, causing me to completely miss the consultation. The entire experience is profoundly frustrating and disheartening. Ultimately, this GP surgery is fundamentally ineffective and appears to have minimal concern for patient welfare.

Poor!

Worst customer service and appointment scheduling ever

Spent an entire week attempting to schedule an appointment, but consistently encountered unavailability. Each morning, I'd dial precisely at 8 AM and endure over 30 minutes on hold, only to be assigned queue number 14, yet when finally reached, they dismissively claimed no openings remained. This pattern repeated daily. Moreover, the two receptionists are incredibly unpleasant and discourteous, making the entire experience extremely frustrating.

Terrible medical practice with zero customer service

I've been struggling to secure a consultation with my primary care physician for an extended period. After numerous phone attempts, I opted to visit the clinic directly, which proved to be a monumentally poor decision. The front desk staff is entirely uncooperative and clueless, offering me contradictory details while attempting to schedule a basic appointment. The level of customer service here is absolutely abysmal. I've resolved to immediately transfer my medical care elsewhere. I strongly advise anyone against engaging with this practice.

Missed cancer scan appointment leaves patient frustrated

I urgently needed a breast cancer screening, but missed the appointment because I was never properly informed about its scheduling. Initially, I received correspondence indicating, "The clinic will reach out to book an appointment." Yet, I was subsequently told I had failed to attend — despite never receiving any actual notification of the appointment's details. When I sought guidance on how to contact the hospital and address this issue, I was met with a dismissive "I don't know" response. As a result, I've been instructed to reschedule with my GP and restart the entire process from the beginning. Consequently, my time-sensitive breast cancer scan, which should have been expedited, will now be postponed by an additional month. Alina Sabeva Manolova

Whoever this staff member was, assigned on March 6, 2025 at 12:10pm, displayed an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism. She was extremely disrespectful and abruptly ended the call by hanging up before I could complete my explanation, leaving me frustrated and unheard.

Worst medical practice with unhelpful and rude staff

The staff at this clinic are absolutely abysmal, with the receptionist displaying complete indifference and a total lack of competence. They consistently provide conflicting information while attempting to schedule a straightforward GP appointment. I've been struggling to secure an appointment for months, and when I finally decided to visit in person, it was an equally frustrating experience. The receptionist's behavior was beyond unprofessional. I'm definitively switching my GP starting tomorrow. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this place and spare themselves the unnecessary aggravation.

Terrible service and incompetent medical practice

I previously appreciated this medical practice, but their service has dramatically declined. Their new booking system is so overwhelmed that available appointments vanish by 7:45am, despite booking opening at 7:30. They've clearly taken on too many patients while providing terrible service. The app is practically unusable, and when you attempt to call, staff try to help but are often difficult to reach, repeatedly pushing you to use the ineffective app - which is utterly ridiculous advice. My most significant frustration occurred around a year ago when I urgently needed a referral. This required five phone consultations, two doctor/nurse visits, and multiple reception visits to resolve. The problem stemmed from doctors repeatedly forgetting to complete the referral - how is this even possible? Can't they use a simple notepad or checklist? The staff consistently suggested waiting for a hospital letter without verifying the referral was actually made! I escalated this to management and received a response six months later (an absurdly long time). While they acknowledged mistakes were made, they provided no concrete plan for improvement. Perhaps implementing a basic checklist to ensure doctors complete tasks before leaving would help. The level of professional incompetence is frankly astounding.

Disappointing experience with uncaring nhs staff

A prime illustration of the NHS's systemic shortcomings. I long for healthcare positions to be filled by individuals who genuinely comprehend compassionate care, instead of displaying such appalling rudeness and offering dismissive responses to vulnerable patients. An incredibly disorganized environment with staff who seem completely disconnected - the reception team must realize that a single discourteous employee can irreparably damage the entire organization's reputation.

Terrible gp practice with zero patient care

The worst GP practice I have ever encountered—steer clear at all costs!(Please read below) This practice is entirely unprofessional and demonstrates zero compassion. First, the reception staff are incredibly discourteous, unhelpful, and disengaged. They consistently fail to listen, frequently become aggressive, and display complete disinterest in patient support. One specific staff member (whose name begins with "V") was particularly notorious for their terrible demeanor. It's unacceptable for reception personnel to treat patients so poorly—they seem fundamentally unsuited to their role. Second, updating my address was a nightmarish process taking over eight months, with repeated errors despite my multiple confirmations. Every time I attempted to book an appointment or request results, they claimed my address was incorrect and refused assistance. I continuously requested address updates, received assurances they would rectify it, yet nothing ever changed. Securing appointments is virtually impossible. Throughout my five to six years of registration, I never successfully scheduled a single consultation. Calling at 8 AM positions you at least 35th in the queue, and by the time you connect, all slots are exhausted. They then redirect patients to Dr. IQ (now defunct) or the Evergreen app, which they incompetently configured, rendering my information useless. Essentially, accessing medical care here is completely unattainable. Most distressingly, during my pregnancy, I received zero proper check-ups or meaningful support. Days passed with concerning symptoms, and when a doctor finally called, I was dismissively told everything was "normal" without genuine assessment. Not once was an in-person examination offered, even when I was genuinely terrified for my and my baby's health. This complete lack of care left me perpetually anxious, forcing me to seek help from private clinics due to the NHS service's total unreliability. After years of frustration and zero assistance, I was compelled to leave this practice. Their unprofessionalism and indifference are absolutely shocking. I emphatically warn against registering here—this facility should be completely avoided! Regarding appointments, availability is non-existent! Despite being registered for 5-6 years, I never secured a single consultation. The 8am call routine leaves you 35th in the queue, and by the time you speak with someone, all slots are gone. They redirect you to dysfunctional apps like Dr. IQ or Evergreen, which are improperly configured. Fundamentally, medical care here is impossible to obtain. Utterly ridiculous! Overall, I was forced to abandon this practice, having never received any meaningful help. An absolutely uncaring establishment that I strongly recommend everyone avoid at all costs!

Frustrating healthcare experience with zero helpful solutions

Terrible approach to healthcare. I journeyed to a different region for a medical assessment, and they redirected me to get an MRI through my general practitioner (GP) due to suspected spinal/neck issues. The GP stated they couldn't offer the service and instead referred me to a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist performed a minimal acupuncture treatment with just two needles and dismissed me. I'm still experiencing pain and feeling completely lost, resorting to self-guided exercises. It appears that if a medical condition can't be addressed with basic painkillers or antibiotics, the healthcare professionals will simply try to sidestep the problem.

Terrible healthcare service with zero patient support

Complete farce. I've been battling sleep apnea and desperately seeking help from a sleep clinic, yet I've never managed to connect with anyone. My high cholesterol requires nutritional and exercise guidance, but contacting them is utterly futile. I sought a referral for an autism assessment, which was completely disregarded. They're obsessed with pushing their website and dodging phone interactions, with no viable alternatives. Their new app is laughably ineffective and user-unfriendly. As a younger individual, I'm shocked - I can only imagine how devastating this would be for elderly or less technologically adept patients. Getting a doctor's attention seems mathematically impossible. With multiple health concerns, I'm only surviving because I fortunately have a medical professional in my home country. Otherwise, I'd essentially be left for dead.
