Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience across the practice. Clinical care receives consistent praise, with patients highlighting professional competence, compassionate nursing support, and clinicians who take concerns seriously. Walk-in service availability and same-day appointment access are valued where accessible. Pharmacy support and cleanliness of premises are also noted positively.
However, significant concerns emerge around reception experience and management communication. Multiple patients report unhelpful, dismissive, or condescending interactions at the front desk and with management, with some describing abrupt or confrontational approaches when raising concerns. Appointment access presents a substantial challenge, with patients struggling to obtain timely appointments and experiencing cancellations. Long waiting times, particularly for walk-in clinics, create barriers for those with accessibility needs.
Limited remote consultation options are cited as problematic, especially for patients with neurodevelopmental differences or mobility constraints. Documentation processing issues and complaint handling procedures have also raised concerns. While some patients express strong confidence in the practice's clinical care and responsiveness, others report feeling unsupported and have chosen to register elsewhere. The reception experience appears to be a critical area affecting overall patient satisfaction and confidence in the service.

Excellent!
Same day appointment made all the difference
I just want to say thank you to everyone at the local surgeries. Two weeks ago I managed to get a same day appointment where I was promptly referred to the hospital with a suspected acute condition. The treatment at the hospital was outstanding. Today I phoned to see if it was possible for someone to look at my wound dressing, and again this was not a problem. The nursing staff member made me feel so relaxed and not a nuisance. All sorted and feeling more comfortable now. Thank you to everyone.

Bad!
Manager's aggressive communication style affects the team
The management approach comes across as rather abrupt and confrontational in their manner of communication. I feel concerned for the team members who work in that environment.

Reception staff treated elderly patient poorly outside
Would give 0* if I could. My elderly relative attended an appointment and was subsequently taken outside by a member of staff due to a parking matter. The interaction was upsetting, with raised voices and critical comments made. This occurred in cold weather conditions, which was particularly concerning given my relative's existing health vulnerabilities. We intend to pursue a formal complaint and felt it important to alert others with vulnerable family members to exercise caution when considering this practice.

Bad!
Staff wouldn't listen to urgent concerns
I recently attempted to access urgent medical care for an injury and found the experience disappointing. The team appeared dismissive and unwilling to invest time in listening to my concerns. The approach felt rigid and inflexible rather than patient-centred. It is unfortunate given that this is the sole medical facility available locally.

Bad!
Reception staff hung up during complaint
I had a disappointing experience with the service and care provided. I felt the clinician's approach was condescending and I did not receive the level of attention I expected. When I raised my concerns with the office management, I found their response unhelpful and felt I was blamed for the interaction rather than having my concerns properly addressed. The conversation ended abruptly. I intend to escalate my concerns through the appropriate formal channels. I would encourage others to carefully consider their options when choosing this practice.

Sit and wait appointment got me proper care
Attended an appointment following discharge from the accident and emergency department at a local hospital, where I was advised to seek further medical attention if my condition did not improve. I attended a walk-in appointment and was seen by a clinician who took my concerns seriously and arranged for me to be transported by ambulance for admission. After five days, I was discharged with a diagnosis following assessment by a specialist who visited from another hospital. I am very grateful to the staff at the practice for their support during a difficult time.
