Short wait on Monday morning phone queue

Excellent service received today. I contacted reception and was pleasantly surprised to get through after just a brief wait, despite it being early in the week. I was able to explain what I was experiencing, and within approximately twenty minutes, a clinician called me back and gave a considerate and measured evaluation of my situation. They were happy to organise a prescription for me to pick up later that day. I felt my worries were listened to carefully and that various possibilities were explored thoroughly. The whole process worked really well for me.

The team here is consistently helpful, courteous and considerate. I've been able to secure same-day appointments regularly, and on the one occasion this wasn't possible, they assisted me in arranging an appointment elsewhere. Reliable care across nearly five decades

It appears that individuals tend to share their experiences online primarily when they've had a negative encounter, so I'd like to contribute a more positive perspective. I've been attending this practice for the majority of my life, spanning several decades, and I genuinely believe it delivers a high standard of care. Certainly, like all general practices, it faces operational challenges, but appointments are readily available when required and the surgery provides additional services that aren't universally offered elsewhere, including a specialist clinic for minor skin lesion removal.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have consistently experienced excellent service throughout my time there. Following recent visits for various health concerns, the standard of care I received has continued to be outstanding. Appointments are typically available on the same day for urgent matters, or within a few days for non-urgent issues. I would particularly like to commend the clinician I have seen on several occasions, whose care and attention have been exemplary, as well as the reception staff member I recently interacted with, who demonstrated warmth, professionalism and helpfulness. I am very grateful for the support provided.

Receptionists were rude on the phone

I have found this surgery to be unhelpful overall, and several of the reception staff have come across as impolite during phone calls. On one occasion, a receptionist ended a call with me while I was trying to ask about appointment details. During a consultation, one clinician restricted discussion to a single concern and indicated that any additional issues would need to be addressed in a separate appointment. This approach has been frustrating, and I am planning to transfer my care to a different practice.

Rapid referral made all the difference

I was diagnosed with a serious health condition and I must say that my treatment and care package has been excellent. I was seen promptly and referred for an urgent specialist appointment and the care coordinators attached to the surgery have been great. Well done to our NHS.

Excellent team and medical professionals. I seem to be fortunate as I have not experienced any issues with the reception staff. Yes, scheduling an appointment with a clinician can be challenging, though this appears to be a widespread issue. However, I am generally able to secure an appointment within a couple of days.

Prescription delays and feeling dismissed by staff

I attended an appointment regarding symptoms of dizziness. Rather than investigating the underlying cause, my medication was adjusted and I experienced delays in obtaining my prescription renewal, which extended beyond my usual schedule. I felt the consultation was dismissive and did not treat me with appropriate respect for my age and circumstances. I submitted a prescription request and have experienced a prolonged wait for it to be processed. I am frustrated by the delay in receiving my medication.

Missed call left me without medication

I requested an appointment to have my medication reviewed. An appointment was scheduled for Friday evening, however I did not receive the telephone call that had been indicated. As a result, I ran out of my medication over the weekend. I was very disappointed by this level of service and feel the practice requires significant improvement.
