Terrible patient registration at local gp surgery

Upon relocating to Sawbridgeworth, I visited the local medical practice to obtain and complete new patient registration paperwork. After carefully filling out the forms and returning them to the front desk staff, I followed up via phone a week later to confirm my registration status. To my dismay, I discovered that my submitted documents had inexplicably vanished and I remained unregistered in their system. I'm uncertain whether this was an intentional administrative tactic or mere incompetence, but the experience was sufficiently frustrating to deter me from pursuing registration with this practice (which may well have been their underlying intention). Consequently, I've since registered with a GP surgery conveniently located near my workplace in London, where such administrative mishaps seemingly do not occur 😌

Abruptly discharged from their medical service without any prior notice or explanation, this exemplifies the appalling standard of care typical of the NHS. It's utterly frustrating how we continue to fund such a clearly broken healthcare system that seems to have no regard for patient experience or basic communication.

Deadly negligence led to my husband's tragic death

On Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, my husband attempted to contact Dr. Chadwick and was informed she wouldn't be available until Friday, March 24th. Upon waiting until that day, he was told Dr. Chadwick was on vacation. He then secured an appointment with Dr. Chadni, during which he was urgently sent to the emergency room with a critical heart condition. Fifteen hours later, he was discovered without a pulse and blue during further examination, ultimately resulting in his death. The following Monday, I visited the central surgery to speak with the practice manager, only to learn that Dr. Chadwick had actually left the practice one and a half years prior. My husband waited 3-4 critical days, a delay that potentially could have been prevented. The word "devastated" fails to capture the depth of my grief. The receptionists bear significant responsibility for this tragic outcome. My husband was just 57 years old...

Stubborn receptionist almost blocked my medical access

The front desk staff attempted to deny me an appointment because my medical registration was from a student location rather than a local one (which, I might add, is against regulations). Fortunately, I'm skilled at negotiating with difficult administrative personnel, but goodness, did she make the booking process unnecessarily complicated and frustrating.

Heartless healthcare system fails vulnerable patient

I contacted the medical practice to update my residential information and was informed they will no longer provide me care. With critical cardiac and respiratory conditions, I am now left without medical support until I am accepted by another practice. This situation is completely unacceptable, and I have already consulted legal counsel regarding this matter.

Worst medical experience ever terrible customer service

Shockingly appalling, escaping an appointment with this medical practice seems unattainable. To them, you're essentially nonexistent, and when urgent prescription needs arise for an infection, the receptionist goes to extreme lengths to block your appointment. The entire experience is utterly repulsive and demonstrates an alarming lack of professional conduct.
